Very nice! I'm currently building a Scarab 650 in PVC and epoxy sandwich - a folding trailerable 6.5m trimaran. Similar to a Farrier F22. Main hull finished, spray painted and on the trailer. Looking sharp! Just finishing the ama mold. Outrigger hulls to come... Sailing next summer down under. Can't wait!
a question what if building a trimaran that its amass bottoms be in the same bottom level of the trimaran mine hull ? and why some trimaran amass are so higher than the mine hull in trimaran?
Waves. When a trimaran heels, it can raise the windward ama out of the water. Do that high enough and it can clear some waves. If it doesn't raise the windward ama above the water or waves, then it's less efficient since it has more drag in the water. Notice the trimarans with higher amas are designed for larger waves. That means lower amas are only really good for calm waters, protected bays, etc.

@@mhsn3470 Hull loading and drag. One heavily loaded catamaran hull in the water may have as much drag or more than two more lightly loaded trimaran hulls in the water.
Where can I get the design drawings of your boat, I have been looking for the design drawings of the trimaran, there is no website for sale, but I like the trimaran very much, I have been studying the design of IAN FARRIER recently, and there is no website for the design of IAN FARRIER Offer for sale. So the construction plan has never been able to start. If you know something about trimaran drawings website, hope you can let me know thanks a lot.
Hi Peter, Farrier stopped selling the designs quite a long time ago. I have bought a 50ft design from Dick Newick that I haven´t built, let me know if you are interested.

I want this same design but I think the main haul should be farther forward. While the outside hauls set back for more cargo space in the back.
