Hey Doc! I am now 24. I had Unique case history. I am an athletic person but always had a low protien diet.
I was lifting a heavy weight and by mistake i twisted my upper torso, my right shoulder had a popping sound and i screamed for a second. I checked it, it was fine from outside and was painless.
In Feb 2022, i was 23 yrs old - I used to play Contact sports, TT, i am not beginner) for 6-8 hours a month in Two shifts (hit 1k balls under Robot and matches in evening).
Then, I developed two conditions in my Right elbow: Distal Bicep TENONOSIS and Medial Epicondylitis + i started having painless poping sound in my right Shoulder whenever i used to go overhead.
For 1.5 Years, i have not lifted anything with my right arm and only did elbow strengthening and Rehabilitation exercise as prescribed.
NOTE: My elbow was completely fine now, but i had some shoulder pain after i tried to play Table Tennis for 2+ Hours, pain in front and back of my shoulder. I even got an MRI done bach then BUT it Only Stated - Minimal GlenoHumeral Joint Effusion.
Also, I had felt shoulder pop out and in for 1 second while playing Forhand Topspin shot but as it went back in on its own, i didn't had to think about it much.
In Late September 2023 - I was feeling good as i only had poping sound when i went overhead, i played Volleyball as setter, blocked 2 -3 Heavy spikes and spiked 4-5 ball + i fall on ground with my back during my match. And the Next day --
In Early August 2023 - While Sleeping after practice session (6 to 7 hours gap), my right hand shoulder dislocated itself posteriorly (1st time Complete Dislocation). I went in emergency and got it Relocated.
I had MRI done of Shoulder + Brain, I have Bankart Lesion (1 to 5'o clock) with small hill sack region ( 1 mm) and supraspinatus tear. However, My brain is normal :) I have no chance of seizure, for sure.
I read your article About Atraumatic Shoulder Dislocation and i am now confused b/w Surgery (Arthrex Shoulder Labrum repair with Knotless SutureTak Arthroscopic) or Rehabilitation with Physiotherapy As ---
MANY SURGEONS WHOM I MET ADVISED ME TO GET THE SURGERY DONE, AS I WISH TO GET BACK IN SPORTS AS MY HOBBY
And my Physiotherapist says, There is no need. Do the exercises religiously. For sports, wear brace.
Both agreed on Rest of 6 months before contact sports.
What will you suggest in my case Doc

I hope this message reaches you. I saw you vedio on shoulder dislocation as i havd one recently.
I am 24 yrs Old and had a posterior Shoulder dislocation while sleeping face down to earth when it dislocated. (As if you are carrying a mountain = pose of sleeping)
For sure, it was not serizure or epilepsy...
I throwed balls and even had a fall on my back the previous day. I play badminton and want to continue it till I get old as a hobby. It's the only thing I love to do. It's mesmerizing.
And after 2 weeks i had MRI Done which says, Non-Bony Bankart lesion labrum tear (1 to 5o clock). I have felt pop out and pop in of shoulder joint for a second during my smashes.
I am recovering fast as of now. I can lift my arm straight.
Most Doctor are recommending surgery with knotless sutures and all Physiotherapist says to get it exercise consistently for 5 to 6 months.
Should i get surgery done or do rehab or both sir ?

Hi Sir, I dont have Bankart's lesion or hill sachs lesion..
But i have :
1)partial tear of supraspinatus tendon involving bursal surface of the distal tendon with background tendinosis.
2)partial tear of infraspinatus insertional tendon.
Can you plz tell me whether arthroscopy is adequate or not?
