Problem here is they are too technical and while vocals are great Max vocals sounded always so raw like he just woke up and started singing with zero preparations.
Sounds much better when they play covers. This band's problem is that their own songs are just too complicated and difficult to listen, and that prevents them from becoming popular. They should do more straightforward rumble.

There are always a few people who like difficult polyrhytmic non-melodic songs, but you can see for yourself that their number of listeners are nowhere near where it should be in this level band. Metallica became big only because their early songs were different, but mostly very simple, melodic and easy to remember. Although Megadeth was better instrumentally, it always remained second in popularity. But it seems that they don't even care much about popularity.
