  • In this video, I will show you a variety of shorebirds I saw one early evening at a nature park in the Texas Gulf Coast area.
    This park has manmade lakes and islands, and there are many resident shorebirds and songbirds all year round. Every Spring, the number of shorebirds skyrocket to close to a thousand, as many return to this nature park to nest until early Summer.
    The birds you will see in this video are: American White Pelican, Little Blue Heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Great Egret, Mottled Duck, White Ibis, Northern Shoveler, Snowy Egret, Green-winged Teal, Gadwall, Cormorants, Least Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper, Killdeer, Savanna Sparrow, Black-bellied Whistling Duck, etc.
