Tiger Swallowtail Hatching (Like you've never seen it)

This was the most close-up footage I've ever taken of a butterfly eclosure. She's a Western Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio rutulus) from Seattle, WA. She was reared from an egg collected back in June of 2023 and spent 10 months as a chrysalis, emerging as an adult in June of 2024. She is 12 months old in this video.
