I saw another kind of rattrap pedal in my life when they actually had usage of the "spring bar" now i dont have the rattrap in my possession anymore but would love to find that one again nice piece of funny equipment . Regards Paul Roger
Not bad. Very innovative. It would make a great novelty item to show off in the shop. But since it is made out of wood, the biohazard possibilities are high. Thanks for the great video.
I've been looking for a better way to cover the bottom of these. You can use the grit paper but that isn't good if you have wood floors. I've tried yoga mats and stuff to keep carpets from slipping around. You don't have to put something on the bottom but I like to have something that will hold it in place.
There are several ways to build a rat trap pedal. After building this one some using a different method. I've also made a pedal from a circular saw blade. I will post the results of those when I can.
I stopped making the rat trap pedals because they were a little flimsy. I prefer using the saw blade pedal or something that doesn't move around as much. You do want to use a solder that is not corrosive. I also put some Ox-gard anti-oxidant compound on it. If you don't the wires will corrode within a year.

This is a novelty. I've used one but they are not the best. I do like the pedal I made from saw blades. I'll show a video soon how I made that one
