The Owyhees are beautiful, especially in the spring, but can also be equally harsh. Oppressively hot during the mid Summer months and that Owyhee mud .... well that will have you reflecting on your life choices ...
We live in the Central Oregon Cascades and have made 3 trips to the Owyhee area. From Succor Creek on the north to Three Forks on the south. So much to see. I just picked up an X 185 overland travel trailer and looking forward to approaching the Owyhee from the west. So much rugged and beautiful land. Our trips were made in early spring, fall and winter. No crowds and challenging roads. Wild life include feral horses, pronghorns, big horn sheep, sheep, sage grouse, and raptors.
Hi Matt, Cara, Danielle, Brad and Regina, oh my gosh Oregon is so beautiful. Just AMAZING 😊 Loved the chemistry with everyone. The cinematography amazing amazing. Everyone thank you so much for what you do for the overlanding and off road community. Thank you for sharing 😊🚙
Seeing my home state through your eyes has made me appreciate it more and more. I grew up not more than an hour to an hour and a half from the Owyhees.
Was excited to see your rigs driving through my neighborhood after skydiving, now excited to see more Oregon content. Enjoy the beauty and chill vibes out here! (Looking forward to Cara’s solo content on the west coast too!)
Had to say this! been watching for a long time now and love you and your wife! Has anyone told you that you look and talk like a Canadian comedian and actor Scott Thompson from Kids in the Hall? I grew up watching these guys in Canada and I always liked them! cheers!
Always enjoy your content and so glad you enjoyed our state so much. And also really glad you guys and Brad & Regina have fun together. They are good people.
Unbelievable terrain and we, at least I can appreciate what the camera saw, because of great filming on your part. And it was finally good to see some of these areas from above. That you for sharing your trips with us. Soo looking forward to the rest of your trip in Organ and into Washington State.
Love your Cara’s rig!! Totally inspiring me to build my pink Gladiator.. Is there a video on her Jeep build? If not, I hope it’s in the works!! Send her my regards ❤
Although I'm sure you've already planned your adventure, it sure would be awesome if y'all did a collaborative episode with Coyote Works while y'all are in high territory 👍👍
Go up to Enterprise and Lake Joseph before you leave Oregon, Incredible. Did you go to the moon pools on the Owyhee River? Locals can direct you there. I love the Owyhees. I could live there for ever.
The Owyhee area is beautiful. Growing up in Eastern Oregon watch out for the cheatgrass. It will get in Goose's ears, nose, eyes and even between his toes and create issues that will require a Vet. Also watch out for rattle snakes in the grass and rocks.
My wife and I love your videos! Thanks for taking us along on your travels. I’m surprised no one has asked you yet about that gizmo you have mounted by the windshield on the left side. What is that thing?
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Understand ... Too bad, though, it would have been awesome to see you in person . Keep up the great work, looking forward to the next videos
We’ve been faithful followers of your channel since inception and look forward to every video. However I have one suggestion that would put it over the top. I’ve moved close to Arkansas and want to start exploring it but can’t find a UA-cam channel that does what you do but starts the video with trail info, location and mapping info to allow one to easily research and follow along. Where one could loop trail rides together to make longer trail runs. YOU MAY OFFER A VERSION OF THIS TO YOUR PATREONS but one would never know. I think as a freebie inclusion to your vids your exposure would explode for anyone exploring Arkansas as well as your out of state travels.
A bill has been proposed to close this area to all motorized travel. Hope everyone comes together to shut this down. What a shame it would be to lose this. Great video! New sub here trying to get you to 100K, good luck!
I’ve been following the proposed bill. I really hope it doesn’t get shut down as well. From what I have seen being in the Owyhee’s twice now, it seems people aren’t trashing it at all. 🤞🏻
I’m not surprised Oregon, and all its beauty is suffering moron, leader, ship from top to bottom. This state is quickly becoming a dictatorship. These are public lands, and cannot be taken away. We must stand up and fight this.
Hey, I love your videos. I’m from Southern Idaho and I have been where you are on your Owyhees adventure but when you’re talking, it would be cool if you’re still videoing the scenery just a helpful hint :-)
I was just online looking at Overland Expo West tickets. I used you guys as a point of reference for who I heard about it from. And then, at the end, it asked for promo codes and was curious if, by chance, you guys had one.
Hey Matt. First time commenting. I have a quick question, how is the trailer with keeping dust out just curious . love the video you guys do great work thank you
Hello! Would love to know what that adjustable mount is for your 270 awning. We have a similar issue with a low trailer and our awning needs to be able to be adjusted higher for opening or lower when driving.
Great channel !! Quick question do you have XM radio? If so does it work everywhere you go and have you tried the SOS button on your rear view mirror? I see you have the Garmin inreach. Thanks
Question: I'm in the midwest and most of the overloading I'll do will be in the midwest. I am going to be getting a new vehicle and am stuck between a Power Wagon and a Gladiator. My worry is the Power Wagon will be too big for most of the midwest and southern trails. Am I correct on that assumption?
"Die with memories not dreams..." I will have to remember that!! ❤
My favorite quote from Henry David Thoreau is... Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

LOL Matt. Brad released his video earlier in the week. He ruined your surprise. Hope yall have a great trip
Yeah I know. LOL

The Owyhee's are my back yard. I live in Idaho and am soon in Oregon whenever I go out roaming. It's beautiful country!

Thank you so much!!
Welcome to my back yard! Hope you enjoyed your trip.
Yes! Thank you!

Well put down the bowl and get out there!😂😅🎉
Awesome and welcome to our beautiful state!!! Thank you for continuing to share the journeys. Safe travels y'all! 🙂
Thank you! Will do!
Rain at three fingers gulch (?) Would be so welcomed. I love rain.
Awesome views
My backyard! I always love the long drives and camping!! I've been so many awesome places and have so many memories ❤
It looks nothing short of magnificent out there.
A lot of those caves in eastern Oregon have a rich archaeological history, dating way back. So in a sense, it actually was a cave of wonders!
I live in Southern Washington and I had no idea all this was was even remotely near me. Got to visit soon. Thank you for sharing
You should!

Lots more to come!!
Not only did you pronounce owyhees correctly, you pronounced Oregon correctly as well lol
Glad to see you at the expo!
YAYYYYYY!
Great video guys! Never really thought of overlanding in this area. It’s now on my radar!
One of your best yet !

@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Oh good! I think you will see the resemblance! lol
Great Drone footage (as usual) so beautiful!! Really appreciate the 4K crispness and detail on my 5K 27inch iMac 🖥️🚘⛰️!!
Thanks! 👍
Matt, awesome drone footage as always! Really gives a person perspective.
I appreciate that!
Your drone footage is second to none. Great video. 🎉
Thanks for that!
Looks like y'all had a fabulous trip!!
We did!!
I went through there in the early spring when it was mostly green. Watch out for rattle snakes in the Succor Creek area. Great Video!
This place is freaking awesome. Officially added to my bucket 🪣 list along with the Tillamook area.

Neverlost overland that is a place I need... to go. Glad you had a lot of fun, maybe next year. Thanks for the vids.
“Die with memories, not dreams”. Needs to be on a t shirt if it’s not already.
Is this on my bucket list? Yes! Has been for a while.
Another terrific episode.

There sure is but it needs to be updated... ua-cam.com/video/1NaFLkEwev8/v-deo.html
Hy Ozark, beautiful landscape and beautiful trucks.
Complimenti ciao 🇮🇹
Great video, we are doing the Owyhee, Magruder and Wyoming BDR in September after the Mountain West Expo. I’m pretty sure it will be a blast🙂😀
Sounds great!
We’re headed there in 2 weeks…woot!
Great video! Definitely adding this to my bucket list. Finally made the switch from onX offroad to Gaia with your discount code. Thanks!
Fyi, Goose is way more handsome in person. 😊. Glad I got to say a brief hello at PNW
Canyons, caves, and rivers, love it!😍
Great video. Awesome adventure 😎
Thanks beautiful
Love the scenery ❤
Would love to hit Oregon sometime

Hey, Matt, it's Oregon. If you don't like the weather, give it 5 minutes, it'll change.
Hah, funnily enough, as a DnD player I recognized the music you were playing there at the end.
Beautiful scenery!

Yeah we experienced that the next day with Goose on a hike. He sneezed for days after but is ok now.
28:10 ominous clouds
Watched this in December (back episodes), but I checked and had to subscribe for the 4th time. Lately, YT has been dropping alot of my subscriptions.

My gopro?
What sits on top of it…looks kinda like a dreamcatcher lol
@@jimdoeren2266 that’s the mic holder and microphone. Lol
Ahhh ok cool! Be safe, have fun, God bless
Hey guys, loved the video as always. Any plans on being at Overland Expo East this year?
I doubt we will make it to east this year. October is an insanely busy month for us.

I'll tell her husband you said so. LOL
Well thanks! 😅
Hey Matt, great video as always.. question.. what tablet are you using in your rig for navigation?
ipad mini with celular
2:27 there's a tire just laying out in the middle of no where. Humans suck so bad sometimes.
agreed

You mean Mountain West? Sadly I don't have any discounts for it. I think Lifestyle Overland might.
Hey Matt. First time commenting. I have a quick question, how is the trailer with keeping dust out just curious . love the video you guys do great work thank you
Zero dust gets inside. It's well sealed.

We do not. Thanks!
Great video. When did you do this trip? looks nice and green. We are planning our own trip to that area and then Hells Canyon this coming summer
This was mid June
Great place. Went there 45 years ago when I was in high school. Wish this video showed more scenery and less of the people driving
What time of the year was this? A friend and I are going the second week of Sept.
Y'all really need to get past all those grasshoppers, though. BTW, welcome to the land of the free.
Good call on not flying in the state parks, Every Oregon state park has different rules and its a pain to keep track of them all 😂😂😂
I wish when people say something like “most amazing campsite ever!” that they would be more specific. Like GPS specific. 😁
Because sharing coordinates with the masses is a good idea. LOL. Nope. I said the name of it. Just do your research.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures When it’s the nether regions of Oregon is ok. As you saw we don’t get a lot of visitors. 😜

Yes. That is a legit concern.

Your footage is constantly underexposed ! It’s killing me cause the sceneries are amazing!! Good stuff nonetheless! 🙌🏾👊🏾
Check your brightness settings. It looks great on my screens. Lol. I do HATE over exposed shots.
Seeing UA-camrs camping in Three Fingers Gulch is seeing pictures of your wife, naked online. Hope you guys had a great time.
Not sure I understand that comparison.... but ok. LOL. We had a blast!!
Im going to have to like this later. As of when im watching this you are at 665 likes. I cant be the 666th like. Sorry.
