VVVVVV - Nova (Insane custom) in

I've been meaning to try for a decent speedrun of my own VVVVVV adventure for some time. After seeing Balneor's run I was inspired to sit down, de-rust, and try to beat it. After some practice, I was able to beat his time, but only by under a minute.
Overall, the run is good with a few big speed bumps. By far the biggest was the second save of the last area. It's really not that bad, but most of these end bits are capable of being a rough spot for any given run. Other than that, the first save of area 5 was awful and some of the trials could have been a lot better. I manage to salvage a lot of lost time by beating the final challenge almost immediately.
Saving 20 minutes is doable, but a sub 1 hour run would be a sight to behold. I may try to beat this.

Nice play ! Wasn't expecting anything less coming from the maker himself. How long would you say this took to achieve, especially concerning VVVVVV de-rusting stuff ?

man I can't even imagine. Despite several deaths, NES is a master with VVVVVV's physics engine

I did a few practice runs through most of the game and practiced the hard parts quite a bit. Maybe 6 or so hours before this best attempt.
