Just a word from what I've learned from 46 years of riding. The simpler the bike, the less to break on the road. No air ride, no fuel injection, no tubes in your tires, no more electronics than is necessary. I'm a retired electrician that made a career out of fixing broken electrical components. But get out there and ride!!!

My First Harley was a 350 Sprint. 1972. I put an easy rider seat and tall sissy bar on it and rode all over the Great Lakes States and Canada!! 2-up with knobby tires!! Just another ride through paradise!!

I think the Sprint was an AMF product that was a 250cc. A kid down the street from me had one, and I believe it also appeared in the old movie "Bad News Bears", featuring a very young Tatum O'Neil.

Grunts unite and share of your days on end in the rain only to curl up at night under a poncho and spend days wet, soggy and building a rash and water logged feet.
During our trip back from KRiver we rode in rain through Kansas, I told Toni of trips my head was so far in the clouds I ran out of gas. The only thing the convoy seems to be missing is a good wrench! No matter my bike, every trip with Rolling Thunder out to Washington DC, I brought up the rear in case of break downs.
Too few people know their bikes these days, mostly due to computers and sensors. Just as few Americans know where their freedoms are borne from, it's the blood sweat and tears of Veterans and their families that Wounded Warrior Project and Adam Sandoval are raising money for. When viewers watch these videos and see/hear Adam complain about the rains, they are thinking AWWWWW! But what you should be thinking is; "If all those riders can brave the elements to raise funds, I can send money to show Love for the ones that risked their very lives.
Give to the Wounded Warrior Project. Disregard all the heat HD is taking for politics right now and give to our Veterans. Give credit to HD for Adam's bike and definitely give all the dealers credit for hosting fund raising events and taking care of convoy riders as you give credit to our Veterans and their families who've sacrificed so much.
AMERICA, you are in my prayers

Adam, the Harley Sprint was a single cylinder 4-stroke bike which only came in a 250cc or 350cc motor but was assembled in Milan Italy then imported into the US for sales!!! when I was just 8 yrs old I used to bug my Dad's best friend to buy his 1967 250 SS Sprint for years then one day he rode the bike over to our place & asked me how much $ I had in my wallet and I told him $250.00 in cash and he said that the Sprint was mine for that amount!!! I restored the bike and it's now a 56 year old Antique and 1 year older than I am and I still own it today plus a 2015 CVO Ultra Limited!!! Buying a Harley Davidson is equivalent to buying any Chrysler product (i.e., Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and the former Plymouth)!
They are literally THE MOST EXPENSIVE vehicles to own, maintain, and repair! Their "Cost of Ownership" is extremely HIGH!
Why? Because they are NOT DESIGNED to be "Solid, Well-Built, Dependable, Long-Lasting" vehicles!
They are "DESIGNED" to Break Down for a purpose!
They are "DESIGNED" to create "Repeat Customers" who have to keep coming back to "Buy More" and "Fill Their Pockets" with "Your Money!"
They are "DESIGNED" to keep making you spend your money on them, whether it be for parts, repairs, maintenance, or accessories!
Ask any Harley owner, what the "H.D." stands for, and they'll tell you "Hundred Dollars!" Oh yes, they're nice... but they're NOT cheap to own!
Because there is very little, IF ANYTHING, that you can buy for your Harley that costs less than "A Hundred Dollars!" And even in the rare instances that a part costs less than a Hundred Dollars, the "labor" to put that part in is going to bring that cost well over a Hundred Dollars, if not several Hundred Dollars!
The whole point in buying any vehicle (motorcycle, car, truck, van, buss, boat, plane, etc.) is to have a vehicle that "meets your needs!" That vehicle must "do what you need it to do!" And you don't want it to cost you an arm and a leg to do it! Either "you need" it to take you to and from work, school, shopping, etc., OR "you need" it to give you pleasure and enjoyment out of life by "riding it."
It's not about "the Destination" for most bikers, it's about "the Journey!"
The "whole reason" that I ride a motorcycle, is because I love how it makes me feel when I'm cruising down the road with the wind in my face! It gives me a feeling of "Freedom" and it "Relaxes me" and drastically reduces the "stress" that life has a way of bringing into our worlds!
And when you're enjoying that beautiful ride, there is nothing worse to "screw up your day" than to have the unnecessarily added "stress" of "breaking down" in the middle of that ride, and all of the stress and expense that comes with breaking down! Or worse yet, having an accident caused by the breakdown! That can really screw up your day!
I want vehicles that are "Solid, Well-Built, Dependable, and Long Lasting," not only so that I can get "the most bang for my buck" but also so, that I can get "the most Pleasure out of life" by doing what I really love doing! And I Love riding my motorcycle.
I don't really like having to work on it, or cleaning it, although sometimes we must do those things! But what I really like is getting on it and riding it and knowing that my bike is going to take me there and bring me back home without any problems! That's why I buy motorcycles and cars that are better built, and built to last, so that I won't "break down" along the way, and I won't have to deal with the stress and expense of towing, parts & labor, time without my vehicle, and sometimes even having to spend more money on hotels and meals, or time in a hospital or morgue!
Have you ever heard of "the Harley death wobble?"
How come it is primarily only "Harley's" that have a problem with a "death wobble?"
    Something to think about!

I mean I'm not going to lie, I want to go over that in a barrel. Air ride is for trucks, not bikes! You had me worried, I thought my bike broke down lol Take care of my new baby!

Another one of those computer modes that doesn’t leave a code so the “technicians” can’t figure out what they need to fix!!!
It’s too bad that nearly every new vehicle requires a computer to tell mechanics what needs to be fixed; except when the little computer in the vehicle goes stupid!!!
I had an issue with an ‘03 F-150 where it’d stall out at traffic lights after I had driven it for roughly an hour.
Took it to two or three different Ford stealerships and none of them could replicate the issue and the computer didn’t store any codes!!!
Turned out that the transmission failed a few months later because the “fault” the stealerships couldn’t find was a failure in the front pump in the transmission!!!
Apparently, Ford didn’t have sensors in the transmission that would indicate such failures!

      Tell that to Professional Monkey!!!
He had an Indian motorcycle that was an constant pain in the ass with mechanical issues which the mechanics couldn’t fix!!’
Brand new motorcycle when he owned it and they couldn’t figure out what the issue was that was continually failing!
