We visited Angkor Wat February 2024 for the first time. It was amazing n also all those temples
Around the vast area is Siem Reap.
Been to bagan many times . Never get tired of it ! It is just mesmerizing. The sunset, bicycle rides, the irawaddy river n
All those different pagodas n the
    Villages around there.

Thanks for documenting beauty of Bagan. It is certified as UNESCO World heritage site recently. Thanks for visiting Myanmar, my home country!

Beyond spectacular. Thanks. We are just now talking about a 3 month journey through Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines in March - May 2020. We have included a side trip to Angkor Wat but now will have to try and fit in Bagan. How difficult would it be to get to from Chiang Mai ? I will definitely have questions if this trip happens. Thanks again for the breathtaking video and safe travels.

Thanks! It sounds like you are putting together quite the trip. You'll have a blast. You'll find it easier than you think to get around the region. I used Bangkok Airways to get from Siem Reap to Mandalay. From there I had a driver take me into Bagan. I think there is even an airport in Bagan but flights may be less frequent. I just searched on the Bangkok Airways website flights from Chiang Mai to Mandalay and it looks like there are plenty of flights that run for about a hundred dollars round trip so I think you're in luck! Bagan was breathtakingly beautiful and I certainly wouldn't' t miss the chance to see it. I'd be happy to help if you had any more questions about itinerary.

400 years? Buddy do your research. Time it took to build angkor wat was 30 years.

Yikes. No clue how I made that mistake 🤦. At least I was only 370 years off.
