I used the same steering in that red conv. That I sold. I loved the way it worked. I had to add some hose to one hose to get it off the exhaust manifold, but I would do it again. I had to cut my column 2 times. Thanks Rich
Same here I have a '65 hardtop coupe style and I like these videos as well except the only thing is they don't wxactly show you how to do the different things to the vehicles 😤🤬..!!
68 fastback in my garage and it needs a steering box replacement. Talking with opentrackerracing guys for this kit and also the z-bar made specifically for the borgesen box. The z-bar not only snakes through long headers but is built to work with the borgesen box. Pretty cool.
That was an awesome video! I am soon to do the same project on my 67. I noticed on the instructions it says you only need to cut off 1-2 inches off the column. How come you needed to cut out a lot more? And since we have pretty much the identical setup.. do you remember the exact final length of the column? I know you mentioned it already in the video but just incase you made minor adjustments at the end
does the new shaft just slide into the new borgeson gear box through the inside of the car?. I have a 1 piece gear box (early 67), and my motor is in car. im thinking about cutting the sector shaft to make install alot easier so I dont have to pull motor or suspension. just wanted to make sure the shaft slides through car into new borgeson gear box first?. thanks!
Forgive me for asking stupid question but I'm a young foreigner who lives oversea, looking to purchase 1967 mustang as a project car..... something I could not find online/reddit/forums but is it common for folks to install modern day power steering wheel in 67 mustang? I love the old classic car but couldn't stand driving ones without power steering especially in low gear... Thanks in advance.

Terry, I remembered that when I reached out to Borgeson, they couldn't have been nicer. Hope you are well.
That looks like a great kit and except for the adjustments to the column looks easy to install. Thanks Rich and take care
Lloyd, I am looking forward to seeing how it performs
That is a nice bit of kit for the car, looks great!
I have a 1965 mustang that I just acquired so I'm really digging the videos 👍
A fastback/sportsroof as they call them might I ask 🤔..??

It's coming along Joe!

I wasn't aware there was a new steering shaft used until well into the video. What steering shaft did you use?
Will that setup work on a 67 with a 4 speed with headers ? and if so what is the part number thanks.

Hiya Rich this is Steve Rains. How much for the kit? Thanks brother.
I've got a 70 mustang and I'm seeing that I don't need the slave cylinder or control valve if I use this upgraded borgeson gear box?
Yes it replaces those
How long did the conversion take in hours?
Is this possible with the engine in place?
It is but you will likely need to remove the exhaust manifold
Hi, I have a mustang 67 and I want to know how much you spend on parts?
Ismael, I am not sure what you are asking, how much on what parts ?
