Dirt Cheap OFF GRID Property! Should We Get It?

Sorry for the phone quality video... We've been eyeing this property for a long time now. The price is too good to pass up. It seems like it has all the makings of a perfect off grid situation. If the past couple years taught me anything it's that being able to live a self-sustaining life is a worthwhile endeavor. So, the thought of having a getaway that's practical for family life, but also capable of being off grid just makes sense. What do you think?

You wouldn't need a composting toilet just a septic tank and a well. And the solar would work you'd just have to clear a few trees which you'd be doing any way to put in a house and driveway

If you are considering solar, you should first consider which direction is south! That's the direction you will need clear access to the sun. If the road/drive is south consider clearing a few trees by the road, perhaps a winding drive that would come in before the solar array.
Look at the trees, knowing you will have to clear some, often removing the largest tree which has shaded out others works best.

Did you ever buy it? I don't think my wife would go for the composting toilet either. In fact, Neither would I, Some amenities are necessities
