The first time I ever saw or encountered what a furry was I was 17-18 years old in college & in my English class there was a like stereotypical heavy metal guy, long wire like dirty blond hair, death metal band T-shirt & I was sitting behind him with his back facing me & I noticed a wolf tail dangling down through his chair & I spent the next hour just staring at it and trying to figure out what was going on, I had never encountered anything to do with furries in my life or even heard of it & I ended up following him through the hall for like 2 minutes just staring at it 😂

as a self-described studier of furries (I personally am not a furry, but I know lots about them), I will try my best to fix these harmful stereotypes.
Here goes.
1:47, 12:53. You know it's nowhere near 15 percent. The number isn't "15% of furries fuck dogs" it's more like "~10% of furries are attracted to certain animals, only a small percentage of that population would ever even attempt bestiality". and if 10% seems high to you, the average for normal people is ~5%, and ~7% for farmers, For a group heavily into anthropomorphic animals, they sure don't seem that much more likely to wanna actually fuck a real animal.
3:33. Kero wasn't fucking roadkill, that rumor was confirmed false, the person in the infamous dead deer video had a chest tattoo, which Kero showed he did not have, watch Kothorix's video on it.
5:15. Almost none of the furries with suits are even able to have sex in them if they wanted to, sex suits are called murrsuits, and they're far less common than normal suits. (P.S. having a furry fetish doesn't usually have anything to do with the suits, it's almost always about the cartoon characters which are the main focus of the fandom.)
7:40, 8:20. Fursuits are kept extremely clean by like ~95% of the people that own them, they're too expensive to let them get stinky, you can't just go buy another, they're custom made for each person/sona. People with stinky suits are shunned by most of the community, most cons have some rules about that, and you can be kicked out if you don't clean and take care of your suit.
10:50. furries feel like their true selves when in suit because it's an idealized version of themselves, you're confusing this with therians who actually believe themselves to be animals in human bodies, and while they overlap somewhat, they're very much a separate thing from furries.
18:05. YMS's fursona is a horse, not a dog.
This video made me lose a lot of respect for Turkey Tom. I thought he had done his research, given that he's made multiple hours worth of content about furries, but apparently not. He still seems to harbor some disgust at the general furry population, despite the fact that most of them just wanna dance around in animal costumes.
