I'm really enjoying the trip, Tim. And, yes, the scenery is gorgeous. I hope we're finished with the rain.

Unfortunately not. Although I now take rest days according to the weather and talk about it less so you'll see less rain even if its still falling 👍

What a fantastic ride … it really looked like a great place to cycle. I even enjoyed the bit at the end [ Tim’s River Reverence ]😊 Thanks for sharing my friend.

Thanks Tim that was a very long 20 minutes then at the end you think wow, I want another 20. Beautiful- as a train fan I'd be fine with the noise and most probably sleep right through it. Dad: "that lad could sleep through a war". RIP 🙏 Dad.

Ah, I wish I could sleep like that. I'm such a light sleeper. Awake with the dawn chorus every day 😒

What a fantastic route today! The scenery was outstanding and the rolling hills along the Rhine River were gorgeous. Thanks for taking us along on your tour, Tim.
    Keep on Triking!

    Hello Tim
What a beautiful ride again. I understand very well what you say about your knee because I drive with a knee prosthesis and always try to pedal smoothly. Of course this is not always possible in the mountains and that is difficult with a packed recumbent trike. Beautiful campsite I think you can always sleep wonderfully with the rippling water next to it. Hopefully it will remain dry in the coming weeks.

Thanks Rudi. Yes I slept very well that night. 😌

Tim that is gorgeous riding. I live in southeastern Wisconsin next to Lake Michigan and riding along the lake is quite nice but that ride topped it all. The trail looked awesome. Hope you keep the weather and the trail. Hope the knees hold up!😂😂😂

The knees are doing fine (day 22 here) The trails are still awesome. The scenery... well you can't have it all every single day 😁👍

maybe one of the next days you will pass St. Goar and Rüdesheim am Rhein, (maybe you already have passed them) where I did a trike trip 2 years back, to the relics of Saint Hildegard, such nice bike paths along the Rhein, will go there again, there you will also pass the mountain where Loreley a mystical River nymph sings you a song to seduce you....☺ have fun, hope you ride your trike there also !!!!

Hi Ed, yes I passed by them. It really is such a lovely area. It's hard to take it all in.

Great ride Tim thanks for sharing. We Dutch always overlook Germany, usually going to Spain or something on holiday, but we sometimes forget the beauty that's just next door! Definitely will put this on my travel list now

I am really enjoying your ride seeing where you are going and what you are seeing. Are you really liking your Effneo front chain ring/gear box in combo with the Rolhoff speed hub? Also wondering if it would be too difficult to give us a view of what your entire trike route to date is in addition to the Relive. Or maybe at the end of the tour do a video showing the entire route. So cool that you are doing this ride.

I was thinking about doing just that earlier today. Why? Because tomorrow (for me) marks 1 month on the road.
It'll be a while before you catch up to that but I'll see what I can come up with.
The efneo gearbox coupled with the rohloff is everything I need so far. Im very pleased with it 👍

You sounded relaxed, refreshed, and are more spontaneous. Enjoyed the interlude, too. You're letting your hair down and letting life just flow. 😁 I took a nice drive yesterday up to the Kitt Peak National Observatory, 7,000 foot altitude, 85F as opposed to 112F at home. Nice to get out of the house. 😊

All in all a lovely episode, especially the stretch with no conversation-not that I mind your voice overs in the least. That's one beautiful campsite--I fully expected the Sheriff of Nottingham to come sallying out at any time. It's a bit of compensation for the rainy, difficult days you had earlier in the tour I think.
Just a bit of a word... I haven't completely given up video creation. I'm also a musician. Check your email for a link to my latest composition and accompanying video.
Sorry you too are having knee troubles. Mine has a lot to do with what I just mentioned in the previous paragraph; I've got to do something with my creative juices if the old body won't cooperate.
Until the next episode my friend!

Your puns get any worse ? 😉
The further I go the more I enjoy not having the assist. I was concerned in the first week or so but my legs are feeling much stronger now.

What a fabulous ride. Some questions: How do you find the camp sites? How do you manage with the different languages? Was the ferry free as in the Netherlands?

    • @TimsTrikeTrips
      @TimsTrikeTrips  4 місяці тому +1

In Germany the ferries appeared to have a fixed price of €2.50.
Languages... I just raise my voice and speak English more slowly 😁 More seriously... these are tourist hotshots. They're all multilingual.
Campsites are googled the night before on Google maps.
