Hi Andy, thanks for the videos. I’m torn between the trek 11 and the Hobie lynx. I’ve been on a lynx and love it but just can’t get my head around transporting it on the roof, this is where the trek wins I think. Did you look at any others? All the best Pete
Hi Pete. No I didn't look at others. I needed something that would fit in my little car, as this one does. I've only taken it out the once so far but enjoyed using it (and got two or three squid for my troubles too, haha). I'm intending to get it out more once we get to better weather in my location - summer coming.
I got these from Whitworths Marine in Australia. I actually ended up buying two sets and mashing them together (clamp and rodholders) because the original rod holders that came with these clamps were of metal contruction and a little heavy for my liking. Also, had to hack the clamps a bit. These are made for 1inch boat tubing, whereas the seat tubing is less diameter. So chopped the clamps a bit so they fitted tight.

Your set up looks great! Very interested to see how it evolves. Did you use yours in the sea or inland and how did you find the stability? Cheers Pete
Hello, where can I find the rod holder clamps

where did you get that cooler ?!
Hi Dan, was from BCF (Australia).
Nice video, how is the kayak holding, I heard there are issues with the pedal, drive durability, can u comment?
Havn't used it enough to say. I ended up getting myself a fishing jetski so the Hobie doesn't get much use. Worked well when I was using it.
@@andyh5666 thanks for taking the time to respond to me, I appreciate it.
