Gen 5 was honestly the best of em all. Pixelated, but had the most emotion due to the 70 frame animations for every mons sprites. Not to mention the nice background and unique particle animations.

@@yeetskeet3 Gen 7 felt like living a story instead of wathinc/playing it. Everything about gen 7 : The charcters, pokemon designs,ultra beasts,z-moves,trials,kahunas,island,rotom dex and much more were all great. Its my personal favourite.

Ah the evolution of actually being able to speak and make a definitive sound to just being able to make a growl/obscure sound
FR, only giving Pikachu the voice of the series is such a weird move. In Pokémon yellow it kind of made sense, since you play as Ash with his special Pikachu whom he has a special bond with that allows him to understand it, while wild Pikachu you meet are just making noises.
But all Pikachu being able to say their name, while all other Pokémon including it's evolution can't, makes it stick out like a sore thumb.
Gamefreak should either make the (admittedly bold) evolutionary step to have all Pokémon vocalize their names like in the anime series or stick with the 'random noise' Pokémon cries for nostalgia's sake and give Pikachu its old cry back for consistency.
Given how much they changed the sound of the Pokémon cries in Gen VI, I'm honestly puzzled why while they were add it they didn't mix a subtle vocoder saying the Pokémon's name into the noisy cries.
Shurely it would be doable (I know It'd be quite some effort to fit each name in each language into the melody of the corresponding Pokémon cry, but it would be really cool!)
@@LRM12o8 seems they've done the same thing with Eevee too. I'm assuming this was because of let's go Eevee? I didn't play it but I imagine Eevee could probably say its name there

The fact that they kept so many songs so close to the originals for so many years is what makes the pokemon community one of the best gaming communities out there.
Sonic games does the same thing, they take the old nostalgic 8-bit and fit it into the new world with better quality and sound that it makes the game more recognizable and loveable.

Raichu has the same base Attack and Special Attack, but Thunderbolt has more base power (75 for punch, 90 for bolt)

In USUM you can evolve Pikachu into normal Raichu if you're in Ultra Space. This is also the case for the other Pokémon who have Alolan forms. This is because Ultra Space isn't considered part of Alola.

I don't want this to become an argument, but i hate how people keep attacking pokemon Sword/Shield for such little details like that. They didn't throw it- they just made it a shorter animation. Sword and Shield has a lot more content than Let's Go (with the Wild Area, gym challenges and animation,) so i think we can survive without a dramatic evolution.
Ayla Cem Honestly, I could see that being a valid argument, if the animations were better. Especially the battle animations, those are straight shit this gen. Wild area, while a neat idea, was definitely not used to its fullest, and really, except for dynamaxing (which is just big Pokémon with the same three animations), gym challenges aren’t all that.
