Rome is Hubi's worst m1000. His only achievement there was beating Rublev 3 years ago, so Rafa does have a chance.

would be nice to see another novak rafa final but that's a very slim chance
I don't think Djokovic has an easy draw, especially with Ruud on his path to the semis. Before that, perhaps Khachanov is the only major name but that's quite a challenge too. Ruud hasn't got it too easy either with Shelton in his 1/8. Anyway, the top quarter of the draw has by far the biggest match with Djokovic - Ruud. No other potential QF compares.
Easy? Djokovic has to meet Ruud who beat him for the first time. Zverev's draw is the easiest one

The "easy" part isn't the draw. It's the lack of Sinner and Alcaraz, because if he's truly healthy he's going to be the prohibitive favorite over every other player here.

Nadass is # 305 in the world and still gets a qualifier on his first round, and for the rest of the rounds he probably won't even face the toughest players. So there you go. Easy draw? Man, the kind of form & level he has shown this year, he is about to post a blank year of the highest order 'coz the draw never matters when his 'Tennis Machine' mode is ON.
