The clip with the female soccer players REALLY got me. My closest friends wear the hijab and I've gotten to see the fear/apprehension they experience doing various activities like sports. Even though to us it would be just an accident, in regards to the hijab falling off or getting snagged on something, to someone who follows that belief, it can be spiritually and emotionally devastating to be exposed like that. I myself have helped to hide/ cover my friends when they had slip ups. Sometimes throwing blankets or jackets over our heads in public so I can help to readjust the scarf for them. It seems like such a tiny gesture but it really shows how much you understand and respect what's important to them.
I saw a kind act a few days ago. There was an older lady in front of me carrying a quite heavy bag down the stairs. A boy (around 12-14 years old) was walking in front of her, looked back, turned around and walked back to ask if she wanted help and then carried the bag. I cried 🥺 I remember before, I helped a blind man cross a bridge. I also fed homeless people who ask for money on the streets. I bought them food and water to drink and gave them a few peso. I remember the smiles given to me by the people who saw what I did and the smiles of the people I helped. It truly warms my heart.

I make them and take them to the hospital for kids with cancer so the medical staff know just at a glance how the child feels. I do it because when I had cancer at times I did not want to talk and a beautiful soul made me one, so I wanted to make them so the child could feel the same as I did……..loved and not pressured into talking when they feel sick.
