C9 vs SSG Grandfinals, im calling it. I have a couple of reasons why i say this. For one SSG on paper looks too good not to win over OG in g7 or in 6 games. Then C9, originally known as omellete, actually took G2 to g7 in reg3 and was very close. They have a play style that is very disruptive to G2. C9 now looks like that team to take G2 to game 7 and win in OT. Lastly, i have SSG winning this regional.

As one who has complained about the choice in direction of the Stream Devs to go for a more diversity driven route, and doing so for the sake of doing so I think is wrong, but I digress; the dig vs ssg game was probably the first time I thought the female casting was somewhat acceptable. I say "female" because they (the women) are new to the scene of RL and are the main sources of strife within the vieweing community NOT because they are women AT ALL, but simply because of their general lack of understanding of the game of RL. Now, that being said, I wish to reiterate it has NOTHING to do with them being women or not white men, I dislike the push for the sake of diversity SIMPLY for the sake of diversity where the main goal, to entertain and educate, should be the most dominant factors when deciding your casting group. The women are not bad people, I do not hate them, I do not dislike them as humans, I simply dislike them as casters of RL on the basis that they are brought in soley because they are not the typical "white man" caster for the appearance of not catering to a patriarchial white dominant/favored organization.
Herc has been in the scene probably longer than you man and is high ranked in the actual game as well, do some research! Don't just think they're new because they're women. I know you say its not because of that but it obviously is playing a part in your ignorance.

I've got two things to say First this format is awful. Swiss on its own isn't a bad format but with how it's seeded and how single elim is seeded it is atrociously bad. For one thing it incentivises losing. For instance rebellion in both quals would have benefitted from losing a game or two to get a better round 1 matchup. Any system that rewards losing doesn't promote competitive play. For one thing seeding into swiss should be based on where you end up in double elim. Not based based on season points. Points is how you determine seeding for the double elim. It's not really right to not reward those that qualified with two lives in the upper bracket. It's bizarre not to. At any rate single elim should be seeded based on a hybrid system of first how you finish in swiss then how many points you have in the season. So 3-0 still get top seeds but It's based on past performance as well. Which leads to the problem with the single elim bracket. Now yes you have to beat everyone to win but one hard matchup shouldn't decide your tournament. That's why it needs to be double elim. An unlucky matchup shouldn't end your tournament for instance if gen g and g2 met in round 1 all the time (feasible given gen gs record in swiss) the second or first best team would constantly be getting out because of close round 1 losses. That doesn't promote a competitive tournament. There needs to be a second life so that if you get a tough matchup out of swiss you get a second chance. Which at the same time means that you can't blame your unlucky first round ad the reason you lost. On top of that this helps differentiate points. As it stands now ties are far too likely while they've they've been avoided so far there is just not enough differentiation between placements. By having more placements you can eliminate that problem as well. Now onto the second thing. Rebellion... they have some problems and it annoys me that during the transfer window jstn was seen as the problem. Today showed me that jstn still has it and he is the best player on his team. He was cooking g2. But was constantly let down by his team. That isn't to say jstn was perfect. But he was on par with g2. To me 2piece and jstn have played fine most of the time but paarth really needs to clean up his game. Everyone has had blunders but paarth seems to be lost in rotation and can miss some crucial hits on offense and defense. Thst isn't to say i hate paarth. I like him and see the potential for greatness. But a just feel like he may need to shift up his focus a little.. I think paarth needs needs take a defensive third and let 2piece and jstn carry the offensive load. I have seen paarth pop off before but i do think that he is struggling rn and a more focused role may benefit the team. Honestly the greatest tragedy is that jstns game and talent is being wasted rn. He's been grinding and you can see the results. He was very good especially in games 3 and 4 today. But both times rotation slip ups and tbh overly panicked defensive plays forced them to constantly give up goals. Defense needs to be the focus. And paarth might need to shift to a defensive third. Similar to how mist plays. Too often there is no one back for rebellion and they are still going for 3 man passing plays when only 2 men are needed. I hope JSTN finds success soon because hes still got it.
