So you've heard a few of ours - let us know when games made you lose your cool!
Poor Rob in that nodding game. I remember that one.
hmmm 14:45 pretty sure the word Ash is looking for is "crab" those are just really long-legged crabs.
Kingdom Hearts 1 for the ps2. When fighting Riku (possesed by Ansem) for the first time in my life. Something like 48 tries later I finally won. The rage was real.
The trophy for biomutant was glitched, had to chase around fire fly's for hours , it made me re evaluate my life 🤣 rage beyond rage
Bioshock Infinite. Long time since I played it, but when you watch a tv monitor / press a button or something, and u turn around and suddenly the siren boy is there! Biggest jumpscare ever! 😆
I wonder how long it took Rob to come up with an answer for this. He's got such a large pool of material to choose from on the subject. hahaha!
I love how Rob is just a normal dude but his passion for games and the way he talks about them really makes him such an admirable person
I love how Rosie describes romance options in games, knuckle down into a relationship lol
Lol...I love how innocent Rosie is. "Had a romantic session."
And a back massage! 😂
@@martynpotter21 I've heard some people consider that a good option for getting started. It's relaxing and comfy.... and very.... hands on.
There was a chance to slow things down with Kaiden. It's called Virmire... Rosie is too pure.
Wonder if she makes her boyfriend call it that...
Rob's storytelling ability is excellent 🤣🤣 I am there with him ducking down when he hears the baby cry
Ff7 remake... Cried… hard… the opening credits did exactly what they set out to do for all 30 somethings who experienced it as a kid…
I can distinctly remember some SNES and Genesis games that made me lose my "cool" back in the day. I had a gourmet popcorn container that I used as a "kicking can" in my room that I would beat unmercifully when my "cool" was lost.
That's good therapy.
LOL Rob waking up his daughter with amazing cheers from a Souls boss. Understandable. That's great.
And that was when Robs playstation was put on the top of the wardrobe by wife
The "romantic session with the back massager" had me in tears.
late to this but please Rob, never change. Those outburst are always one of the best moments on this channel and that one from bishi bashi especially is just one of my favourite access moments of all time. Even if you might sometimes feel ashamed for it you really don't have to, it's really great content for all of us and we all love you for it.
Raging Rosie! Love it! 😁🤣❤️
The first time I walked out of the barn with John Marston, I was screaming at him to run. Then I put a controller into the TV. That moment still gets to me.
"Knuckle Down on A Romance"😆
i mean surely ash's is when she went up against the boss called dave's bean juice hand, there was real fear and real begging there
Trying to complete Hell House on Hard mode from FF7 remake was a struggle and I definitely lost it while trying to defeat it. It took me 5 full hours to finally do it and I got such a sense of satisfaction & euphoria when I finally took it down.
I have to give credit where credit is due it is a brilliantly designed Boss.
I beat it by glitch , the house smashed Aristh through the door, so I took 30 mins shooting at it, was so frustrating
I could barely beat it on Normal. Took me 3 tries I think, but then on Hard I beat it in about 4 minutes.
Same. By the time I finished it I was so tired of the game that I got to the train yard, saved and quit, and have yet to pick it up again.
I found that taking control of Aerith and focusing on using Hell House's elemental weaknesses against it were the best strategy. Just remember to heal Cloud occasionally to keep pulling agro and stock up on ethers for MP restoration.
The Hell House was an odd case for me: instead of getting angry, determined or focused, I just got bored and frustrated. It was about as bad as the fight against Rufus for sheer tedium and repetition. There's something about FFVII Remake's longer boss fights that just doesn't work for me the way it does for other folks.
I gotta say this, I feel Rosie is just the purest and most adorable person in the world 🎊
Definitly, especially if you saw the last video with the 'back massager'
She is.
@@ABadassDragon that was hilarious 😂
I pretty much lost it when I finally beat Ebrietas in Bloodborne. I recall jumping off the couch shouting something at the screen I won’t repeat here. As for the preceding weeks of rage and misery, I think I may have repressed those memories.
Pretty much my reaction for every boss in the game. Especially chalice dungeon Rom
I don't have thalassophobia, but I definitely get Ash's fear of man made objects under water. Big love to my fellow submechanophobes here!
“I’m very brave” sounds like ash’s “I’m the boss” lmao
"Why would you use the thing you know does less damage?".
I mean he's not wrong.
I wonder where Dave is, I miss seeing him in the videos and streams
I thought I was the only person who has ever played Mundaun. That exact yeti moment nearly gave me a heart attack! Highly recommend that game.
For me, I think it has to be ashtray maze from control. I’ve literally never had such a cool, unexpected sequence in a game either. That game makes you feel so powerful, with the ashtray maze being such a peak of this. I had to stop playing and go have a rest. “That was awesome”
Isshin, the Sword Saint. I started the fight in the evening. I finally beat him around 4am.
Sword Saint was a challenge, but for me old Isshin from Shura ending is far worse. The only Sekiro boss i am yet to beat
First time, true monk took almost 8 h, I just couldn't beat it. Isshin 3-4 times. On ng + Isshin took all night, he was so much harder, I could get to the 3rd phase but it takes so damn long
Can relate. The rage fuels the eventual love that blossoms for this game tho
I fought Isshin for 4 hours straight. Anger, defeat, loss of hope, and acceptance. That's what led me to victory lol
@@Manudyne I was a bit tired of the game by that point so I cheated with Demon of hatred... :/
Soma is some of the best Sci Fi horror out there in any form.
It's been sitting in my PS Plus collection for aaaages ... I occasionally wondered what it was all about ... turns out it actually looks quite good judging from Ash's clips!
It is amazing
@@juledevil5434 it is quite horrifying. :/
Rosie's attitude to love is amazing :p
Rob your rage makes me feel much better about my own. Hilarious. Gold. Thanks buddy! Hope all is safe and warm!
The dogs in RE:1... when they leapt through the windows in the narrow hallway. Scared me for years. Finally got past it but... I still have some tension during that part.
Whoever edited ash's yeti jumpscare... Man, that was evil. perfectly timed, too. You got me, hook line and sinker hahaha 😖
Well, I was surprised seeing Rob like this. I have never ever seen him rage on the channel... 😅😅
Recently I've been playing through Valkyria Chronicles for the first time, and I swear every time I have a good shot lined up with my sniper or my lancer, they always find a way to miss, and it drives me insane.
I don't scream or shout, I just squeeze the controller harder and whisper curses to the developers under my breath.
Really enjoying the game otherwise!
You're imbuing your controller with malice?
Rob and Dave playing Bishi Bashi is my all time favourite PlayStation Access moment.
Rosie, to be fair... You have to know exactly what to do in order to NOT end up in a romance with Kaiden or Liara. They're super easy in ME1.
Good news! You CAN romance other characters in 2 regardless. Garrus is the correct choice. 😏
Garrus is always the correct choice. Yes.
I don't have many stories but an old one that taught me important lessons:
I was playing Age of Empires 1 in the old family computer (this must have been 1999 or so).
I amassed a nice number of troops and I was going to attack, when a smaller but not insignificant number of enemy troops came to my base from the back and cleaned all my villager population in the time it took me to get all my army back to my base.
I was young and my strategy so far was always "build a varied army, select anyone that can wield a weapong and take it to the enemy base", as it always worked in command and conquer before.
Well I was so mad a smacked the pc.
The game froze and I got scared but I thought, well, just a reset, I'm sure nothing happened.
But something happened. The hard drive was reading something I guess, it got severely damaged.
I had to pay a new hard drive from my money, plus I lost everyone's files, this was back when cloud was non existant and emails contained 500kbs of attachments max, so there were no backups of anything.
I never hurt any electronics when I got mad ever since.
I still rage, but I can't smack anything, my body stops even if I try.
Well, lesson learned (the hard way).
My fav rob moment is when i asked him to clean his desk :) Loved it
I love these Tuesday Checklists. I laugh like I'm actually there in the room talking with you all ❤️
One time I lost my cool was when I was trying to get the master of horror trophy for The Evil Within & the game crashed. I thought no big deal until I got back in & found out that not only was all but one of my saves was corrupted (I had 1 out of 20 saves that was fine) but also all my DLC had been uninstalled so all my DLC weapons were no longer maxed out & it was right before a boss fight. So I had to reinstall all my DLC & then fight an end game boss with lvl 1 weapons. The only weapon that was spared was my pistol. So it was a maxed out pistol verses a end game boss on the second hardest difficulty. I was furious
So you got conscripted into a Challenge Gamer setup?
XD
@@Ramsey276one Yep. Completely unintentionally. That is one challenge I will never take on willing. Speed running I can do. Pea shooter vs bosses that can slice ur health in half with one slice no thank u xd
Crash Bash made me rage immensely as a kid. The only game, I've played that caused me to actually hit my console. Yomawari Midnight Shadow freaked me out with the first jump scare and only after taking a long break was I actually able to play the game again. And for a comedy one, meeting Huninn Muginn. I was in tears laughing at it. It was just so stereotypical and ridiculously funny.
Crash Bash is so good, played it last time in like 2015 or so. Game of my childhood. It definitly has its annoyances though
@@ABadassDragon No question, it is a great game and I would love a remaster.
Please please please can we have another Bishi Bashi special this festive period? Christmas wouldn't be the same without it
I was trying to complete one of the hunting grounds trials in Horizon: Zero Dawn and normally I'm fine, but this one was stealth-based and my mother-in-law was watching me, but I kept getting spotted over and over and I absolutely lost it and scared her a bit, I think. Whoops!
Let me guess, the shell walker one?
I'm replaying that game at the moment, and I got frustrated on the stealth trials too... until I realised that for the Shell-walker crates and Stalker kill trials, you don't have to be stealthy at all.
I have PTSD from that shell-walker trial, idk how people do it without the shadow weave armour
@@cinematicwallflower2237 I just ran to each crate, stopped only long enough to blow the crates from active walkers and stop any machines that are in my face. It's not elegant or satisfying, but it worked.
Those trials are extremely tough, especially the one that involves looting Shellwalkers. My usual strategy involves a lot of high-powered tearblast arrows to cripple the Stalkers, distract nearby machines, and detach the Shellwalker cargo.
I've had Soma in my "backlog of shame" (a subsection of my much larger backlog...) for far too long. This has encouraged me to move it closer to the top!
Pretty sure I broke a duelshock 4 while playing Horizon zero dawn at one point. That game can get hard no lie.
Yea, without farming for broken mods i wouldnt be able to beat fireclaws in the dlc. Those things are nasty, compared to them, thunderjaws are nothing more than little kittens. Played this on very hard
@@ABadassDragon I actually think that the DLC machines are actually kinda just bad enemies. Loads of HP and hyper-aggressive; not a legitimate challenge, they just have everything cranked to 11.
@@artfulscruff yea, i can see that
The Frozen Wilds DLC came out while I was on my Ultra-Hard run. That first Fireclaw fight nearly ruined me, and all the subsequent Fireclaw battles involved a lot of careful planning and hours of gathering resources.
The sea sections of SOMA produced the exact same emotions from me. That game is incredibly efficient and so well executed
Rob always makes me chuckle.
Ah the classic accidental Bioware romance.
So Rob conquered Dark Souls 3 but lost to Parenting Souls.
You guys need a checklist of all the scary games Ash mentions between now and next Halloween. Revenge is best served cold... gives her time to forget her comeuppance is due 😈
Still missing Dave in these vids and streams. Hope he's alright?
I miss (fan favorite) Dave too!
Yeah where is Dave ? I know Nathan went behind the scenes but no idea where Dave went.
Dave will be back right soon, don't worry! He's just a busy man!
Cyberpunk 2077. Beat on the Brat Fight: Razor Hugh. This is the only part of the game I don't enjoy (love the rest since it's my favorite game) and the only boss that has made me throw a controller.
When I was a kid jinpachi from tekken 5 was my nightmare
I support Ash's recommendation of "Underwater." Saw it last weekend. Great film.
That compilation at the beginning though! 😂😂❤️
Outer Wilds dlc Echoes of the Eye has made me lose my cool on many occasions. Those pursuers always get the better of me
Ohhh. The raised eyebrow, glasses adjustment. I've been on the wrong end of that a few times, and it's never ended well.
When he walks, you can hear.... The Eastenders theme tune??? 27:05
Romantic session will now be in my vocabulary
Hiring ash is the best thing playstation has done since the ps2
"not that we've got much cool to go around"
*Rob and Dave in Christmas jumpers*
I see what you did.
P.s. Ash's fear of man made things under water is a defined phobia called Submechanophobia.
Great tease ash "Christmas Maze" i am ready 😍😍
I LOVE THESE LONGER TUESDAY CHECKLISTS!!!!!
Fatal Frame 2 -- Any moment in the game had me pitching my controller at the (thankfully sturdy glass) TV. ... And I had watched several let's plays before that!!
okay, so my "lost my cool" moment was playing Forza Horizon 4. there was a Trial, which is a team multiplayer event against really good ai, and for some reason I was having a really hard time getting a good team for this event.
But I well and truly lost it when I was probably on my 5th attempt (these are each 3 races that are 7 minutes in length, plus loading time) and you need two wins against the AI. We actually had two wins against the AI, but you need to complete the last event for it to register. I was on the last leg of the last race, and......
and I got disconnected.
and I just froze in disbelief for probably a good couple of minutes.
That Thane impression was really good.
Lost it myself when Ash read my own ME2 romantic lead thoughts on Thane Krios, "my frog 🐸 prince!", and then I recall my 1st CT love: Glenn a.k.a. Frog 🐸; the universe then collapsed & my eternal amphibious crushing became all too apparent. Thank you, Ash!
P.S. Your SOMA experience was also verbatim my experience, as we apparently have identical phobias, LoL!
Me and sister used to rage over Bishi Bashi on the PS1, it was the bean eating and wedding pie throwing we often lost our cool in!
@ 28:58 -> ...waaaait, what?! First official confirmation of “The Christmas Maze 2021”?! 😮🎄
Ash, if you've not seen James Cameron's The Abyss (1989), I highly recommend you watch it. Superb movie and stunning effects for its time.
Edit: Rob, you really were doing it lol.
Did someone say... "Christmas Maze" ???
!!!!
🤘🏻😃🤩😍🥲🤘🏻
Final boss in Sekiro. Took me 5 full days to beat him. But damn it was satisfying when i finally beat him. And i had problems with other bosses in Sekiro to like Guardian Ape.
I recently finished SOMA myself and really felt that unease with large expanses of water. Gets the paranoia running high.
How has no one made Ash play the shark attack on VR worlds??
Oh god that damn Shark!
Kingdom Hearts 1, Under the Sea. This area controlled so badly and infuriated me so much that I broke my controller. All cool lost.
today is my birthday and this is the best present thank you playstation access!
Horizon Zero Dawn on Ultra Hard had alot of Rage worthy moments for me lol
Rob getting angry IS fun and laughter!
Oh, it was all fun and laughter indeed....for us lol
I 100% can relate to Rob and the sleeping child!
I still remember that train section in Residente Evil: Survivor for PS1. That jumpscare was more than what my young mind could tolerate at the time
Rob's is actually a good kind of losing one's cool, I love it.
Obscure entry from me, I was live streaming Revelations Persona and one segment involved reaching an antagonist called "The Harem Queen". A ten floor confusing dungeon with endless random encounters. Only for her to say in a magic mirror we should be sent far away... Cue us being kicked out of the entire dungeon!! The salt anger was real, oh yes!
That thing with the yeti reminds me much more of Star Wars than anything else 🧐😂
One time I lost my cool was on GTA 4’s bank robbery mission. It was a really hard mission and, as was the GTA norm at that time, there were no checkpoints. It wasn’t so much failing the mission a lot that got me raging but it was the fact that you had to drive from the house where you started the mission to the bank and it was a lengthy drive.
It was more relief than joy when I finally completed it.
I notice Dave isn't appearing as often in these, is he ok?
Soma again I hear so much about this game. Now from the scream queen herself Ash. I gotta try it plus I loved that movie if it's anything like that I'm sold. Thanks guys actually think it's on sale
27:02
That's a Silent Hill 2 reference if I've ever heard one. xD
"IM DOING IT!" 😄👏 ~ Rob
m8 it feels like yesterday I was watching Metal Gear Christmas with Nath & Dave. Ahhhh i miss those days I literally played the first MGS with you guys for the very first time using your excellent walkthrough as a help line
Think Ash should do a horror themed episode ranking 10 best horror themed games. Queen of horror 🧛♀️
I lose my cool when a game I want to platinum has multiplayer trophies
Currently Rain World is occasionally trying my patience, but the most recent scare I've had in a videogame is from The Medium, looking through the bathroom door. I actually screamed a bit. I usually think jumpscares are a bit cheap, but that one was well-executed.
The entirety of Ninja Gaiden on Master Ninja. There are no words.
Last years Chrissy Massy special was fantastic. I was so excited to watch the next video every day. Mostly because of watching Rob get upset 😡 hahahaha
29:02 !!!! ASH SPOILED IT! THATS RIGHT GUYS! we're getting another Christmas MAZE this year!!! RETURN OF THE CHRISTMAS MAZE!!! *fingers crossed!*
Cheesing the armoured spider is the way to go!!
@Ash remember the Armour Spider for Halloween next year
Underwater is a fun horror movie, especially with the "special guest appearance" at the end 🐙😁
Observer is one that really get me reacting like whaaaaatttt? That game is awesome..
The one time I can remember losing my cool was while playing rdr2. I was short on money and I'd just got a legendary animal pelt. I had it on my horse and I was riding to the trapper in Saint Denis. I accidentally knocked down a couple people and suddenly the police were chasing me for "disturbing the peace". I quickly ran to pay off my bounty so I wouldn't get arrested and lose the pelt. Then it happened again. And this time I got shot. I kicked the sofa once.
The Top Secrets VR fight in FF7R. I went into it blind, I was happy I was able to defeat Leviathan... and then there's Bahamut... Damn summon, summoning another summon, got me looking at the game over screen for what felt like an hour (after multiple failed attempts and trying different materia combinations)... I did it on my birthday and luckliy, the sense of satisfaction when completing the mission was amazing!
