Nothing personal in terms of the person who uploaded the series but honestly I really didn't like the female lead. She's frustratingly indecisive and I found it difficult to relate or even understand some of her decisions. There are also many inconsistencies between her behaviour and character. Yes, I understand that she meant to be a sloth and laisse faire about many things including love but she's clearly an intelligent lady. However, there are moments I'm scratching my head somewhat perplexed by her behaviour and decisions. Perhaps she is a product of her time but some things did not follow logic or add-up and really did not make sense to me (even from a scheming perspective). Ironically, I found her sister's behaviour to be in line with her personality and it made sense to me so while she was clearly the 'villain' or 'lotus two-faced b'*ch - I didn't mind her. Even the annoying concubine was still acceptable. Some parts were unnecessarily slow and just filler. It's okay in a novel or manga because you're providing context to the storyboard or character building but in a drama, audiences can make sense of the plot pretty quickly because you can see it in front of your eyes. You don't have to explain some things but then there are some things that did need an explanation. For instance, I still couldn't make sense of Bulter Fu's crime. Not sure why they kept that scene, it would have been better to focus on the CP. Also, the show couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a serious rom-drama or rom-comedy. Honestly, with the budget and based on some of the acting skills, I would have gone for a lighter tone with the plot and setting. Many of the actions were more to push along the 'plot line' and create drama for the sake of it, don't know it was the author or director but it was poorly executed which was just maddening to watch. Overall, a good premise but I will pass on season 3. Might come back just to watch the ending.
