  • Do you ever notice yourself losing a lot of gunfights in apex legends that you feel like you should have won? If so, then this is the video for you as I go over some of my best tips on how to win more gunfights and stop making mistakes in apex legends. I especially focused on overpeeking angles in this video as it seems to be what I still struggle with most as a player to this day.

I think people lose gunfights because they lack patience ...A lot of octanes or super aggressive players just plow into fights outnumbered die and then it turns into rescue mission in which you’re already outnumbered. And then sometimes you come back and then the team mate quits ....It’s really annoying being the only team mate acting like a team mate

Yeah I agree, watching pros or just popular streamers and UA-camrs to see what good play looks like helped me a lot.
As a player who always prioritized circle rotation, avoiding fights outside of ring and having high ground (I’ve been a pathfinder main mostly for years), I found myself top 5-ing like 60% of my games but rarely winning because when it actually came to combat I was under experienced and couldn’t close. But once I started watching players like Lulu, Jankz, Timmy and Itemp it helped with my decision making so much. Just seeing how they process information and act on it each fight really helped me do the same on a conscious and unconscious level.
Also Areans was so helpful because it allowed me to just practice fighting in a controlled setting where I could put all of those little tips and things to the test more consistently.
I’d say that these days I’m just barley like a platinum 4 level player but I’ve seen my KD from a .35 in season one all the way to 1.10 these days and it’s a good feeling. My Win percentage is almost 10% these days too. So yeah I’d definitely say watching better players really helps.

To bad I see some Octanes using jumppads like 2 times a match, just for their own sake.. I think a decent octane atleast throws 10-15 pads in a match. They are usefull for alot like speeding around your team(instead just yourself), pushing, flanking, evading, taking high ground, resurecting teamies, sneaking. Listen here non pad octanes be creative and throw them basically whenever you got them. Destroy them to please, spare them whenever that is tactic or spam them whenever a plan is needed in a few minutes, theiy are great places to fall back to. Have fun playing as octane! This reminds of how my playstyle changed slightly in Planetside 2 when I started to get better. In this game where there is no matchmaking and everyone on the server is put on one/two maps, you face newbies, experienced, and veteran players in the same fight. And since it is a high TTK game, the moment you are at a disadvantage in a gunfight - either the enemy gets the jump on you, you whiff your first shots, another enemy player comes and it becomes a 1v2, etc. - the chances of you winning that fight, especially with the amount of high-skill players, is very low. So the best thing to do is to reset the fight; reposition, heal up, then fight again on your terms.

#3 scream into your mic in your native language some rubbish and a lot of noob callings towards your team
#4 actually leave the room whenever your beloved teamies decided to join your fight and recovered your banner and finishing your dirty work you started.

I just play aggressive. Its pubs idc to much but in ranked I completely change my mindset on playing. Ik playing cover headglitching and all that is really important then stuff but I've been experimenting with arial movements shooting and stuff while bunny hopping or slide jumping into enemys. I should do it if they are low and I need to repostion so I clean up the kill faster but I just play in the open. When I no-fill though I play Smarter.

Also if you win a 1 v 3 or 1 v 2 situation and your team mates are down, armor swap and rez.
I don't know how many people I've killed who got greedy and started looting before rezing their team mates.

Randoms need to see this. Am not the best player but most fights i could win or survive but most my mates just rush and dont know how to pull out. So am forced to fight till i win or lose instead of having a fun fire fight

Man.. 1v1’s are all about timing, but most importantly about surprising your enemy. GUYS!! Don’t just back out of a fight because you were shot. Don’t have that mindset. It all depends on the situation.

great video! thought at the end u said u did a 360. it was actually a 180 lol. a 360 would mean u were facing the same way u started xD

  • @evolgenius1150

Not just that, but after you peak a piece of cover and have already fired and reloaded twice, you need to rotate! Think about it, what do u do when you see an enemy in a spot? (Ping ping 📌). If you hold that cover for more than two mag dumps, you're risking getting team sprayed bc his buddies are zeroing on you and finding an angle. They will all focus you if u stay longer, ur gonna get naded or bombed and once u break ur getting focused.
Rotate, and get a new angle, and new cover.

in that second situation knowing the enemy was close and chasing you could gain advantage by aiming at the doorway from inside the next room getting 3-4 easy shots before he picks his gun up thats also how you beat lmgs that close
