Must’ve been after he spoke to cube, no Vaseline was already out by this time and to hear eazy bring cubes name up first means they most likely had recently seen each other
Ice Cube said in an interview that soon as he found out through the news that Eazy checked into the hospital he rushed down & checked into a hotel near the hospital to go visit him. For whatever reason he didn't get to see Eazy I believe bc he wasn't allowed visitors at the time. Months before Eazy got sick he spoke to Cube on the phone & they discussed possibly doing some new music together. Keep in mind this was after Cube went solo from NWA & he already released the diss track No Vaseline. Per Cube, Eazy said he wasn't worried about the record & wanted to put any animosity between the them to rest. Eazy apparently told Cube that beefing with him was the last thing on his mind. He was worried at the time with his ongoing issues with Dre & now Suge and Death Row. Lol
No Vaseline was 5 years before Eazy died. A lot of people make the mistake of compressing history. This interview was in 93. They didn't actually see each other until early 95. But Eazy was claiming he was cool with Cube from 93 onwards in multiple interviews in that year. The no Vaseline track was in 1990/1. So by 93, Eazy was over it and beefing with Dre by that point.
@@carlthompson7179 Be realistic bruh. What he obviously means is given what the majority of people would probably expect him to speak, he is the exact opposite. Growing up in Long Beach in the 80's, NWA was a local group. I casually bumped into Eazy E on three different occasions and he was always nice to me knowing that I was a fan. I didnt know that NWA were famous outside of LA until I went to boot camp and everyone knew who they were.
What's the backstory to snoop? Was he not 'active' on the streets like he claims?
@@reddragon1572 I went To Jordan High School with Snoop. I didn't know him, but he was tall and thin and hard to miss. If he was a gangster then, I couldn't tell.
@reddragon1572 I'm from LB as well. Been knowing Snoop since around 85 or so. His wife went to Poly with me. To answer your question, he's from 20's. That doesn't mean he was extremely active, but he did a few petty things. Not every gangster is killing people.
@cappyjones I thought snoop went to long Beach poly
Sure man. Sure.

I love how those old rapper, they really talk well, very articulate unlike nowadays, as the old time was a lyrical rap. Song that has meaning, whether its about their life or anything general that happening. Nowadays the new generation of rapper in interview will be like "yknow what i mean" "ya feel me", and talk some sentences, then back to ya know what i mean, yall feel me. 😂😂

SMART DAD.
You owned a restaurant at 15??
@@comeonforfs yeah at 15 all by myself… drove too. You didn’t bother to assume my parents did, at all? For maybe just a second never crossed your mind?
@jefura19 some 15 year olds own homes or super cars and cant drive it. But yea i get why he would ask that question 😂. Ps my parents own a business, but dont say that i own it lol
In the eighties if your parents owned a restaurant you owned it too. But not many children at 15 had their own houses, I knew kids at 17-18 with their own apartments their parents got them but still it was “theirs” so when you asked about the houses their parents got them they still said “my apartment” but explaining the story you’d think people would focus on the point. But in your generation I guess being correct or saying Smart Dad is all they get out of telling a fun story. The internet for you. Still a great memory, I still drive by it time to time. And when they showed it in the movie NWA it was still nostalgic

Easy was a real G and you see how well spoken he is?
Using standard English is being well spoken? Low bar.
@@carlthompson7179
Be realistic bruh. What he obviously means is given what the majority of people would probably expect him to speak, he is the exact opposite.
In other words, he speaks quite proper. And no lie, he does. Even I noticed it. Many rappers today can't put a proper sentence together. Not that they can't, but because they think that shit is cool. Even if they could legit speak, you couldn't understand many of these mumbling mf's.
But it's not a low bar. It's raw dawg Eazy who was screamin Fucc the Police.
Dude was smarter than he led on and much more intelligent than his fans and the media in general would like to believe. I do believe he was one of the smarter ones in the crew.
Not all those boys were so articulate. Persuasive? Yeah, probanly. Shit, most of us are.
But were they all so proper fluent? Nah, probably not at that time. Not like Eazy anyway. He was the most business savvy too.
