my answer is to check the list of playable games for the ARC GPU. if your main games run great, I'd fully recommend supporting Intel getting into the game. it's great for us as consumers. more options mean lower prices.

@@fubkegt4964 It's a good option if you're tech savvy, but the problem with intel right now is that, just like AMD a few years ago, the drivers aren't great. That being said, if you do video editing, Intel actually has the best encoder and decoder, beating both AMD and Nvidia, but the drivers mean you might have issues with certain games. Overall though, the raw performance and Vram is there, and it beats out basically everything else for value, just be aware of driver issues. If you don't want to deal with all of that or you don't do much video editing, the 7600 XT might be a good option, or if you want to buy used, you can get a 6800/6800XT which is an incredible card.
Hey Zach. I'm planning on building my first PC soon and have found a really good deal locally for a Ryzen 5 5600X for $145. I wouldn't have normally gone for a more mid-range cpu like it but it seems like a good price. I have a budget of around $400 to $500. Also still unsure about what gpu to get. I would be nowhere without your videos!
Oh if you meant that your whole budget for the entire PC Is 400-500 then don't get the cpu it's too much for this small of a budget. Get something like the i3 12th gen or a used Ryzen 5 3600 and use the rest of the money for a good gpu.
I'm honestly impressed with their first series of cards considering they have had to figure out how to optimize the hardware with good software for thousands of games. Most companies haven't dared try because this kind of rough start is what is to be expected for first releases. Even with them not competing as well as they had hoped these cards have me optimistic for Battlemage and the GPU market in general.
a bit over a year ago i built a new pc and i got the rx 6600, it was the best option for the price at that point cuz that was when the gpu shortage was just starting to stop. it runs most games perfectly for me and i have been able to use rtx sometimes too.
I use it with my i5-12400F and works perfectly, just make sure getting an aftermarket cooler for that if you want to use it on heavy rendering or something

@@RetroAlex125 it's a good choice as the only difference between it and the A770 is half the VRAM and 12% less shader units Basically, you could run almost every game as normal, but some require a bit more VRAM, you could wait for the A580 to drop

You’re not getting any more vram and the performance bump from the 6600 isn’t that big so I’d go 6700xt, and if you can’t afford that just go 6600

I got a 5700xt for my budget pc. It's really solid for 1080p @100+ fps in most titles. However, the 2060 super would have been my next go-to.
