Puerto Escondido looks inviting. Good thing it's a bit of a trek from Oaxaca or Mexico city. In videos I usually look for very little talking and no music at all so you can hear the nature,...but...I love techno and ... I really liked your music,. Can you send me some info on the mexi-techno especially in the first parts of the video. I am very aware that Mexican people have to work and serve wealthy white people during a Pandemic, so that they can feed their families.
We will look for the songs we used in this video we don't remember the name of the songs right off the bat. Touristy areas definitely have had to cater to tourism during the pandemic which has been tough and that is one of the cons on purely depending on tourism as a source of income.
Thanks for the info on the beaches guys. I was at Centro Histórico two weeks ago and was told that P.E. was a seven-hour drive. I'm glad you shared that there are different spots there. Loved this video, it's so helpful! Thank you so much! I am planning a trip to PE next week, coming from Playa del Carmen & going through Oaxaca City. I really like the looks of staying at Losodeli, but curious about transportation to Playa Z & La Punta as I can see myself wanting to check out those beaches. Is it walking distance & how far each? If staying closer to those beaches, any recommendations?
we would go to Zicatela and La Punta often by taxi or by colectivo. A taxi to Z from Losodeli was around $50mxn and around $70-80 to La Punta. The cheaper option is the colectivo, which cost around $10mxn. if I recall correctly. The colectivos (aka pasajeras) are pick up trucks with blue tarps, they drive up and down the main road and pass often. We've also walked when we have the time and energy, it's about a 35-40 min walk from Losodeli to Zicatela.
Good to know! March sounds like a perfect time. We couldn’t see whales in Oahu, bc season is November - April for them. Puerto Escondido in March & Cancún in May sounds perfect… maybe stay down there for those 3 months 🤔
hahaha thanks! It all depends what you like to do and what kind of atmosphere you'd like. I (kevin) recommend Merida, Merida is a metropolitan city with culture, great food and it's very safe.
My wife and myself are going to make a trip down there late October early November of this year and we are looking for a really good place to stay for 18 days what would you recommend for a hotel
if you're looking for a private room, suite, or even small apartment with a community and social aspect, delicious café on site and centrally located... Casa Losodeli is our jam 😊 great place and people
Beaches that don’t require stairs are la punta, Bacocho and puerto angelito. You just have to take a taxi to get to them so you don’t walk a lot. Let us know if you have any other questions. We might be in puerto around that time as well.
@@EatBailaTravel that's awesome. This will my 1st time at Puerto Escondido. I've travel alot in Baja California Sur and Pie De La Cuesta near Acapulco. I made a reservation at the Hotel Casa Pridda.
I like the video and it was helpful, just one thing that I believe you should know for further reference you’re not supposed to touch the turtles Oils from your skin can interfere with their imprinting process I was surprised that the people who gave them to u didn’t explain that very Important information.
Thank you so much believe it or not, we have learned through the posting of this video. We weren’t told at the release but we really appreciate the heads up. We’re happy you enjoyed our video and also thankful for your advice
Yes unfortunately the COVID situation is pretty bad and restrictions are up, including dry law (no alcohol sales) and beaches closed. Hopefully things improve soon!
@@WeiFinder not sure. I left after 2 weeks. Went south 2 hours drive to Huatulco... beaches were so much nicer.. There weren't any restrictions.. I left Mexico in September.
@@nashkita77 interesting as Puerto Escondido has amazing beaching already, will check it out. Just want a social athmosphere and good weather Although prices for airbnbs for a month are super expensive. Didn't think I'd be looking at 2 grand a month for something passable in Mexico, Bali and Thailand have much better deals
Mexico operates on the “semáforo” system. Red, orange, yellow, and green light. The colors indicate what kinds of social activities are allowed, but mask rules are often made by the local municipalities, which is why it varies so widely.
I think that when you let those baby sea turtles loose one and two at a time, you may be doing them harm. From what I have seen of the hatching, they make their runs to the beach en masse, thus insuring that some will survive, just by sheer numbers. This video just was too jerky and fast for this old broad. I wabted to know about the food and meet some of the people. Why are you wearing a mask while riding a bike. That virus can’t catch you.
At the time this was filmed, masks were mandatory out in public. Any one without a mask would get arrested for 2-4 hours in puerto Escondido Jail. It’s ok we understand there’s plenty of other UA-camrs you can check out. :)
@@EatBailaTravel Oh, those pesky mask rules. I wear mine when I must, but will be so happy to see them as museum pieces. You two are a very good team. It seems like you travel well together. The food just looks amazing. The towns too. The last time I was in Mexico was in the 90s. Looked quit different then. The change seems to be for the good. Before there was so much poverty. Not any real middle class to speak of. That seems to have changed and that makes me happy. I would meet parents trying to give their kids a leg up in life working from dawn to night, not dusk, to try to make enough so their kids could go to school. And then there were the ex-pats, complaining about paying $6 for a lobster meal. They owned all the beachfront. The regular citizens couldn’t take the family to a decent beach. The native population were not treated well by the many tourists who thought of Mexico as adult disney land and not as a beautiful land with her own customs, resources, and rules. Eh…I do go on. Gracias Amigo. Buenos Tardes.

we would go to Zicatela and La Punta often by taxi or by colectivo.
@@EatBailaTravel this is sooo helpful! Thank you so much!!! 🤍
Think we might go visit you guys sooner than later…. 🤔 👌🏻
We highly recommend the month of March! 😉 😉 birthday trip! It’s the best time to come check out the whales, and gorgeous sunsets daily!
Good to know! March sounds like a perfect time. We couldn’t see whales in Oahu, bc season is November - April for them. Puerto Escondido in March & Cancún in May sounds perfect… maybe stay down there for those 3 months 🤔
When did you stay in PE? was it Aug 2021? I heard that the beaches are closed now due high cases of COVID
We are still here now. That is true the big beaches like zicatela and la punta are closing.
Great video. You look like a couple of gap models. :) What area would you recommend for people a little older, in their 40's?
hahaha thanks! It all depends what you like to do and what kind of atmosphere you'd like. I (kevin) recommend Merida, Merida is a metropolitan city with culture, great food and it's very safe.
Nice tunes and where do I go to dj?
Thanks there’s plenty of places to go DJ!

Hola!
Where do you recommend staying if traveling in family? Thanks
A nice Airbnb in the Rinconada area would be perfect, quite, walkable and extra safe.
I'm planning to go on President's Day weekend 2022.
What beaches don't require stairs. ?
Not sure my knee can handle them stairs.🤔
Beaches that don’t require stairs are la punta, Bacocho and puerto angelito. You just have to take a taxi to get to them so you don’t walk a lot. Let us know if you have any other questions. We might be in puerto around that time as well.
@@EatBailaTravel that's awesome. This will my 1st time at Puerto Escondido.
I've travel alot in Baja California Sur and Pie De La Cuesta near Acapulco.
I made a reservation at the Hotel Casa Pridda.
Great video, if I can complain about something it’s the background music man, was a bit much thru out the video.
totally fair, we've since learned from this mistake 😆 in any case, hope the video is helpful!
Not sure Old Boy be hitting dat right.
BRUH 😂
I hear the wifi sucks, I’m looking to go in November for like 4 months but I need to work with good wifi
Yes if you need to work this isn’t the place to depend on WiFi.
Over at Bahia Principal. How much are the boat ride ???$$$. Thank you
Depends but they range from 400-800 pesos
I like the video and it was helpful,
just one thing that I believe you should know for further reference you’re not supposed to touch the turtles Oils from your skin can interfere with their imprinting process I was surprised that the people who gave them to u didn’t explain that very Important information.
Thank you so much believe it or not, we have learned through the posting of this video. We weren’t told at the release but we really appreciate the heads up. We’re happy you enjoyed our video and also thankful for your advice
Do they have gyms?
A lot of them! We signed up for one in rinconada for 12.50 a month

You and your video are so beautiful.
I have also small youtybe.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy
I was informed condition red bars are closed no alcohol being sold until 31 August
Yes unfortunately the COVID situation is pretty bad and restrictions are up, including dry law (no alcohol sales) and beaches closed. Hopefully things improve soon!
Is this still the case?
@@WeiFinder not sure. I left after 2 weeks. Went south 2 hours drive to Huatulco... beaches were so much nicer.. There weren't any restrictions.. I left Mexico in September.
@@nashkita77 interesting as Puerto Escondido has amazing beaching already, will check it out. Just want a social athmosphere and good weather
Although prices for airbnbs for a month are super expensive. Didn't think I'd be looking at 2 grand a month for something passable in Mexico, Bali and Thailand have much better deals
@@WeiFinder but Bali and Thailand have limited visa time restrictions.
You don't have to touch the turtles! 😠
You’re right! I got caught up in the excitement but I definitely shouldn’t have touched the turtle.
Why is it bad to touch the turtles?
You’re not supposed to touch the turtles!
I didn’t know at the time ☹️ definitely won’t make that mistake again!
what's the idea that in some areas of Mexico mask are mandate outside?
Mexico operates on the “semáforo” system. Red, orange, yellow, and green light. The colors indicate what kinds of social activities are allowed, but mask rules are often made by the local municipalities, which is why it varies so widely.
That is way too much walking in the heat with a cooler.
it does get pretty hot, though it's the humidity that's the tough part!
You are not supposed to touch the turtles!!! Please travel responsible, listen to the instructions and take care of the environment.
Yea we learned that the hard way, through UA-cam. Our instructor didn’t tell us about it. Sorry, we will be better about this

Huh?
I think that when you let those baby sea turtles loose one and two at a time, you may be doing them harm. From what I have seen of the hatching, they make their runs to the beach en masse, thus insuring that some will survive, just by sheer numbers.
This video just was too jerky and fast for this old broad. I wabted to know about the food and meet some of the people. Why are you wearing a mask while riding a bike. That virus can’t catch you.
I still enjoyed it. Just not as much as others I have seen.
Hi guys!!! What month of the year you went?
We have been from January to April and July-August
