I've been going thru and clicking Thumbs Up on pretty much all your videos (across my three YT accounts. BTW: You have A TON of videos, ones I didn't even know you had!). HOWEVER, I haven't been watching all of the videos. I'm now wondering if it will screw up your analytics as far as viewing time. Let me know before I start in on my fourth and fifth accounts. I hope I haven't messed you all up.

@@beachlife8367 aww thats very sweet of you!! ❤️ in truth, yes when the videos aren’t watched all the way to the end it affects something called retention rate in the analytics. I’ll tell you what I tell me family, it’s ok if you don’t watch it all (life is busy!) but it still helps if you leave the video playing while you’re doing something else 😅 and then come back and watch when you have time if you want 🤗

@Eat Baila Travel OK, I'll do that! Sorry I didn't think of that earlier. I clicked well over 200 videos (combined). I'll go back and play about 50 or so between my phone, TV and laptop. Hopefully that will bring the number back up. Give me a few days. Thanks

If you're willing to put in the legwork to get here, you'll be rewarded greatly with stunning beaches, friendly locals, and mouth-watering cuisine. Puerto Escondido is definitely one of the best places to visit in Mexico.

I loved the Zicatela area, my favorite market in all of Mexico thus far. Not great for swimming being over 50 though lol. I loved biking in that area though. Definitely an incredible 5 Weeks we had there. Sadly it did rain everyday for 2 weeks. 😊

Wow, it really does look like paradise! The view as you're going down the stairs to the beach is just gorgeous. LOVE the turtle-release program - that's amazing (and they're so cute!)! AND you saw dolphins??? 😍 The shot of them in the background while Jenny is swimming is great! Those waves are amazing, but yeah - a bit rough for our beach bummin' butts. Puerto Escondido looks inviting. Good thing it's a bit of a trek from Oaxaca or Mexico city. In videos I usually look for very little talking and no music at all so you can hear the nature,...but...I love techno and ... I really liked your music,. Can you send me some info on the mexi-techno especially in the first parts of the video. I am very aware that Mexican people have to work and serve wealthy white people during a Pandemic, so that they can feed their families.

We will look for the songs we used in this video we don't remember the name of the songs right off the bat. Touristy areas definitely have had to cater to tourism during the pandemic which has been tough and that is one of the cons on purely depending on tourism as a source of income.

We’re huge on dancing but due to the pandemic there isn’t much for us to record during our time because they’re being closed due to the rise in covid cases. Here’s a list of the places to go in case you happen to come when they reopen
      Monday’s:
      Tuesday: el fauno (bahía principal)
      Wednesday: el arbor (la punta)
      Thursday: conga (Bahia principal)
      Friday: can’t remember
      Saturday: fauno (Saturday)

@@EatBailaTravel Wow, great info, man. I've written to you guys before about salsa. I didn't even try when I was in the city. No time! But we plan to go back, so if you guys end up Centro Histórico, please include salsa clubs! So many great dining options as well. I made a list of 28 restaurants! Some include the usual suspects: Casa Oaxaca, Las 15 Letras, Los Danzantes, Andunga, Ancestral, La Olla, Casa Taviche, Criollo, Pitiona, Itaoni, El Catedral, and the rest if you're interested? If you can, try to talk to the chefs/cooks. They're always interesting and love to share. Please let us hear you talk to the street puestos de comida as well. They deserve their props too, right? Loved this video, it's so helpful! Thank you so much! I am planning a trip to PE next week, coming from Playa del Carmen & going through Oaxaca City. I really like the looks of staying at Losodeli, but curious about transportation to Playa Z & La Punta as I can see myself wanting to check out those beaches. Is it walking distance & how far each? If staying closer to those beaches, any recommendations?

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  2 роки тому

we would go to Zicatela and La Punta often by taxi or by colectivo. A taxi to Z from Losodeli was around $50mxn and around $70-80 to La Punta. The cheaper option is the colectivo, which cost around $10mxn. if I recall correctly. The colectivos (aka pasajeras) are pick up trucks with blue tarps, they drive up and down the main road and pass often. We've also walked when we have the time and energy, it's about a 35-40 min walk from Losodeli to Zicatela.

what's the idea that in some areas of Mexico mask are mandate outside?

Mexico operates on the “semáforo” system. Red, orange, yellow, and green light. The colors indicate what kinds of social activities are allowed, but mask rules are often made by the local municipalities, which is why it varies so widely.

I think that when you let those baby sea turtles loose one and two at a time, you may be doing them harm. From what I have seen of the hatching, they make their runs to the beach en masse, thus insuring that some will survive, just by sheer numbers.
This video just was too jerky and fast for this old broad. I wabted to know about the food and meet some of the people. Why are you wearing a mask while riding a bike. That virus can’t catch you.

@@EatBailaTravel Oh, those pesky mask rules. I wear mine when I must, but will be so happy to see them as museum pieces. You two are a very good team. It seems like you travel well together. The food just looks amazing. The towns too. The last time I was in Mexico was in the 90s. Looked quit different then. The change seems to be for the good. Before there was so much poverty. Not any real middle class to speak of. That seems to have changed and that makes me happy. I would meet parents trying to give their kids a leg up in life working from dawn to night, not dusk, to try to make enough so their kids could go to school. And then there were the ex-pats, complaining about paying $6 for a lobster meal. They owned all the beachfront. The regular citizens couldn’t take the family to a decent beach. The native population were not treated well by the many tourists who thought of Mexico as adult disney land and not as a beautiful land with her own customs, resources, and rules. Eh…I do go on. Gracias Amigo. Buenos Tardes.
