Other neighbors had 806 and 856, some 4630 and 5020 Deeres, and we had a Ford 3000, a Deere 2840, and a MF 1155. My relatives had a Ford 5000 and an IH 1586. I even drove a 70 hp Allis. It was fun.
Hi Russ that's one very clean 1066 and it's always a pleasure to watch your videos because of the content that you put out and the footage that you have on the farm and my grandfather work horse was his 1967 international 806 it had 94 horse and I don't know what the PTO 70.5 at the drawbar and my grandfather and I like international tractor's and I think he had an F30 tractor narrow front end I never saw it but I've heard about it from my grandfather it's have a great day today my friend's 👍👍
I don’t know if you regularly watch my videos but we have a 5088 that was supposed to have transmission surgery in February. The mechanic keeps putting us off. The 88 series and Magnums are selling high right now.
Spent many hours on one of those doing just about everything. Had two of them, put 8 row 3 point planter on one and 8 row 3 point row cultivator on both. I agree that they were the best tractor ever made.
No I don't, unfortunately. One was a 1973 I think, it had a belly tank that held around 110 gallons. We had a heat houser and pulled a 4-18 IH 720 plow and a glenco 8 row cultivator. The other was a 1976 black stripe that we put a IH 500 air planter on and used an IH I think it was a 133 8 row culivator. Both cultivator were 3 point and folded from both sides.
@@Thomasfarmstn I graduated high school in 1975. Hard to believe it's been 45 years. Time flies. I prefer the white trimmed ones over the black stripe.
Nice 1066's both of them. My grandpa had International's . Dad had Massey Ferguson's. I got a 1990 Massey Ferguson 3070, 2004 John Deere 5320, 1989 IMT 539. I would like to have a International and a Oliver maybe someday.
Come to think about it , I would also like to have a Allis Chambers and a Ford. I really appreciate all the old classic tractors. But I have had Massey Ferguson's running though my veins since I was a kid I had drove and worked so many of them. There's not many Oliver's around here either. From Kentucky .
Very nice tractors, look great 👍
Thanks Todd

I’ve never ran anything but Farmall, International and Case IH.
It was a very practical tractor. It had the right size and power. My uncle had a 10 and 14 white stripe, and a neighbor had 2 14s.
We still use one on our farm all the time.

We had a couple 1066s. What a tractor!
One of the best all around tractors.
That is a super nice tractor my friend!! I love the looks of those over the 1086 any day!!
Thanks Nelson
Nice paint job. Got to attend a Red Power Roundup in I'LL. once boy nice tractors there too.
I have a 1066 with a cab and loader and a 5088 both 2wd though but they are awesome tractors

@@Thomasfarmstn Yea with my 5088 you practically have to stop just to change gears

bigk man I would like to see that. Do you have any pictures? That’s great memories!

bigk I was born in 76. I would love to find a Black Stripe!

bigk I think the white trim looks better myself. But Great things were made in 76, lol! What do you farm?
Absolutely Gorgeous ... 1066 is my favorite tractor
I think there are several iconic tractors, Super M, 806, 1206 1066, 1086, 4020 and 4440. I’m sure I missed some. Good tractors!
Love your tractors. Need to paint your grill silver and your muffler black. Kent from PEI
It’s got a chrome grill and Dad said those mufflers were silver from factory. But I can’t remember back that far, 😂!
Great looking tractors. Nice to see a tractor that’s not green.
They both are beautiful tractors. Great video Russ
Love those old International tractors.
Are you the Bruce Baker that lives in Leoma?
I'll say 1066 is the most classic/iconic IH tractor of all numbered models. Some folks might say 806, or 5488? I bet most say 1066 though.
Don’t forget the 1086.
Sharp 1066. I have one , used it for many years. Now sits in shed, would like to paint it . Good rigs....
Yep get that thing redone!
Thomas FarmsTN 👍👍
Love that 1066 Russ
Thanks
Wow super good looking tractors 🇺🇸👍👍
Lobo Robertson thank you. I hope to add more older ones in the future. I want a Black Stripe.
Those are some fine looking old workhorses
Thanks!
Very nice looking tractor friends of mine have a 1066 they use it alot on there farm
It’s an all around good tractor for many uses. I wished them still made them.
2 nice 1066 tractors got there. I think 06,66,86 series some of the nicest tractors IH made along with M,H and 140's
We had a nice unrestored 856. Sold it to buy the restored 1066. I would like to have another 86. We had a 1486 that burnt.
Man that’s one good looking tractor
Rolling Coal thank you sir!

I'll never part ways with my 1066, a Great Tractor 👍🏻
I’ll never part with these. I would like to find a black stripe. 1976 was the year I was born.

Love my 1066 it's not quite that pretty is that one
Thanks. We still use both. The unrestored one gets used almost on a daily basis. Recently we had a DT 466 in it.

Keep that old one working. You don't retire good horses.
