      Most iconic anyways. Still needs to be a black stripe open station. those IH plows weren't nothing but the truth though.

      I am not sure about the greatest but they are very good. We have the exact same tractor and plow combination. Sometimes we use the 1206 on the plow and it also pulls it very good.

      I have used our 1256 on that plow, but the 1066 seems to handle it better. A 1206 is a tractor I would like to have! Thanks for watching!

    Enjoy watching that 1066 turn over the soil. I enjoy plowing growing up we would plow up 500 acres for corn and soybeans and 7 acres for tobacco and the largest plow we had was a 4.16's Massey Ferguson plow behind a 285 Massey Ferguson next we had a 3.16's MF plow behind a 275 MF. We would take turns plowing sometimes all day and all night only stop to fuel up and eat a sandwich. I miss those big fields plowing. I did get to plow up a 9 acre field for my brother a couple of years ago that he wanted to resow. All I plow now are garden spots. I have a 3.16's Massey Ferguson plow I pull behind a 5320 John Deere cab tractor 64hp. and I have a 2.14's Ford plow I pull behind a 539 IMT 39hp. Your 1066 pulling your plow good must be set up right.

      Plowing on a nice big field is one of my favorite jobs, and plowing, was one of my first tractor driving jobs, I used our 830 case with a IH 4-16s semi mount plow and my grandpa would use the IH 1256, and 5-16s semi mount plow, that's one memory I'll always have is plowing with my grandpa. Thanks for watching, and God bless!

    That was plowing up nice,they shined up fast.i have a set of ih 700 4x16,had them for almost 30 years. Mine has the side hill hitch and are semi mount.usually takes 2 full grease guns to do them all. With coulter there is 7 per bottom?

    • @trinitydairy

    • @trinitydairy
      @trinitydairy  4 роки тому +1

      I like the pull type better, I agree that it follows the ground better, it's also nice if you get stuck, you can lock it in the transport position, pull the pin and hoses, get the tractor out then pull the plow out from high ground, get stuck with a semi mount, you might be there half the day. Thanks for watching!

    Why duals only on the left side of the tractor?

      OK, I see the answer further down. I should have realised someone would have already asked.

      We should have the other dual back on soon. Just found a replacement tire to replace the bad one. Thank you for watching!

    Why does the tractor have two tires on one side

    • @trinitydairy
      @trinitydairy  4 роки тому

      The dual on the other side needs to be replaced.

      @Leonard Carr we did that with our semi mount plow when we had to run in the furrow, I can run both duals on the green with this plow, but I had to take one off because the tube was sticking out, found a good tire now, so should have it back on soon.thanks for watching!

    Good video and the haircut doesn't look to bad. However, I don't remember seeing the left side of his head.

    The tow bar looks different compared to my 1066. Is it preferred if running on dual wheels. Mine is a just the tow bar sticking out with a 3 point hitch. I don't have dual wheels, just wondering...

    • @trinitydairy
      @trinitydairy  4 роки тому +1

      This tractor came from North Dakota and this style tow bar is more common out there, most of the ones I've seen have 3 point hitch like yours.I like the duals for more traction and flotation on wet ground, and less compaction.Thanks for watching!

      That 1066 is a Wheatland model and is meant for up north in the Dakotas and Canada where they don’t use 3pt tools as much so the need for the 3pt isn’t necessary

    If you want to hitch up to a moldboard plow in my area you better bring a chainsaw.... chances are that about a 6 in sweet Gum is growing up thru it......
