    I knew a mechanic who was so kind and generous that he barely charged for work - he taught me how to fix the car up and was a generally an awesome person. He was like that to other people too, and I just heard that an older person who he also helped, left him ALL his property. Karma.

    • @manuelester7420
      @manuelester7420 2 роки тому +5

      Not karma because forgiveness overrides karma when a rotten person is forgiven, it's as if though no offense was ever made in the first place.
      God repays our good deeds and evil deeds. But when those we hurt, forgive us, God holds back the punishment that should have come to us. There still is a consequence though.
      But Love and forgiveness make karma powerless. Karma doesn't forgive and demands justice. Love and forgiveness can't exist if karma actually existed. Which it doesn't. That thing that you deceived people call karma, is simply God's vengeance and his justice and his mercy.
      When we are paid back for our sins, or for our good deeds, that's simply reaping what you sow.
      It's not karma.😃
      God holds back punishment when mercy is applied.

      I'm with you. I have a 45 year old car and a 57 your old car. I can plate and insure them both for a fraction of the price that I can plate and insure my 2004 GMC Yukon. If I run a historical plate they cost $30 and they're good for 10 years. If I put a plate on them that I have certified from the year of the car's manufacturer it costs $30 and is good for as long as I own the car. There isn't anything I can't fix on the cars. I have an extra engine so I can swap it into either car and rebuild the engines as I please for performance or as needed. I'll never drive anything new. It's just foolish. Spend that kind of money. My fast car has only ever been outrun once, that was by a ZO6 Corvette. I have the engine out of it right now, next time I see that guy on the road he will see my tail lights. All that money he spent will have been for nothing. And I have the satisfaction knowing that I built that car myself took something that originally had a 0 to 60 time of 12.5 seconds and made it have a 0 to 60 time of 3 seconds. All for a fraction of the price.

    I’m glad I bought my car when I did. It’s a Hyundai which I realize wasn’t the best choice. But, my thinking was I had a 1996 Subaru Outback that needed a new gas tank, fuel neck filler, etc. it had 330,000 miles and I bought it for $1800. I traded that in, and financed my 2020 Hyundai Accent. My thoughts are, it has a 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. I maintain it well, and plan to drive it into the ground. It’s a cheap car that gets me to and from work. I’m grateful I bought it before everything got so much more expensive. I get good gas mileage and I’m willing to pay the monthly payment so that I know it’ll start every morning. It’s not fancy, but it does the job.

      You're lucky. Some dealership was trying to sell me a wore out 2016 Hyundai Sonata that a had fleet past (but when I asked them, they denied it) that already had over 100,000+ on it. A base model, with a red exterior, and white interior (I'm not a big fine on white/ cream interior). It had no new gadgets on the inside, and they were trying to tell me it was "a steal price" 😂😂 and literally wouldn't budge. It had already been 2 hours negotiating with them and the best the manager could do was take $500 off 😂 . I was really considering buying it until all they could "find" was a 3 year warranty for $5,000, the mileage within the warranty was a complete joke as well. I tried telling them to look again, and they told me "this is the absolute best warranty for this car." Yeah right. I took my money else where that actually wanted to do business with me. Never let a car sales person or their manager rip you over.

      Every day we would get a car 🚗 in there with a LEAKING SUNROOF....Then they started calling them "moonroofs" prob to get away from horrible reputation.
      GIVEN ENOUGH TIME, THEY ALL USED TO LEAK....even a tiny speck/hole in the rubber gasket or stopping & starting a new line of silicone or even age drying out the rubber....NOT to mention ppl not closing them tight.
      They improved over the years...but just like windshields & backlites, there is ALWAYS possibility of a leak.

    I'm a seasoned USED car buyer...heres my formula:
    Shop from Craigslist pay cash from a PRIVATE seller, never EVER a dealer.
    Stick to well treated models at least 10 years old or have 100k miles.
    Price will be less if both are true.
    Watch YT videos on how to maintain & repair whichever car you buy.
    Avoid unserviceable models like BMWs of any recent vintage.
    Pre 2005 Mercedes are good as are virtually all Japan makes & many domestic as well.
    I drive 2 classic Benzes paid less than $5k each & drive them everywhere...using this method.
    You ONLY feel trapped into their overpriced options because the SALES INDUSTRY has conditioned you into a set of assumptions that cease being true the moment you question them.

    2:39 so thats why people keep crashing into cars behind them…
    Should be able to select wether it turns off or stays on when put in reverse
    Because people will stick there cars in park as opposed to neutral fairly often and so it kicks the parking break off

    • @CadillacDriver
      @CadillacDriver 2 роки тому +1

      You've lost me. Why would the parking brake be engaged before selecting park? Also, it only disengages the brake when you are already in park, and pull the selector backwards towards you then in to reverse.
      Do you think that the brake disengages if you are in neutral, and you push the gear selector up past reverse, to park? Noooooo. It *only* disengages from the park position.

Terrific performance, so I dubbed it "the silent rocket". The most completely satisfactory vehicle I've ever driven, even better than my Porsche 928S.
