I'm listing all of this because, yes, you're 100% right: despite being a murderer, Travis has drawn lines for himself multiple times throughout the series, and all of that is the evidence of it. He does it all of the time, and it's even been discussed in-game. And thus it's completely in-character for him to own this hoodie BECAUSE he draws lines for himself all of the time. I picked up the game a week ago, and to be fair when I saw the hoodie my first reaction was concern also. HANG ON. That doesn't by default make me a racist like you imply. You have to admit, you have to, that woke pandering is exhausting. I really thought that was the case until I did some light research and realized that this was not the case. Fair enough. Of course it's a universal statement and of course Fuck Racism. But dude... Everyone is sick of woke nonsense. Yes we get it, racism bad. Does it really have to be shoved in our faces constantly? But again, I was wrong. It a reference. But how was I, or most other people for that matter, supposed to know that? These last two games had a ton of cryptic references to Japanese culture that I don't get and probably most people wouldn't either here in the west. If they are made aware and still choose to be upset, then yeah, they suck. But you can't just say that, by default, not liking the hoodie = racism. Your smug, arrogant attitude here is also kind of exhausting too friend. Twitter brain damage is all too easy of a target. The Quartering may be annoying political hack, but right now, are you being much better?

The hoodie competely destroyed /v/ when Suda uploaded that photo. I am not woke in anyway or anything adjacent but for that alone, the hoodie is certificated B A S E D. To this very day all discussion of NMH3 is completely cursed on the site. People like this came after the game with a lot of weird narratives, it's not flawless sure but it's clear that many didn't play the game and just wanted it to see it fail. On people not liking change I see it as Travis having matured over the years much more then a lot of these guys have, they're still stuck in 2007.
Lol, that is the thing though. Conservative minded people have a long history of being triggered, because people are easily triggered when exposed to things they dislike regardless of political leanings. This has been the case for literally thousands of years. That is why it is worth judging people based on their beliefs and values, rather than whether they react to something at all.
@@lostsanityreturned so not liking the hoodie means you're conservative and closed minded? Christ man it's just a cosmetic that someone spent 2 entire minutes on, stop trying to make mountains out of an ant hill.
Not that I give a shit about the Hoodie because it honestly struck me as memey, and not that I care or associate myself with the alt-right or anyone from this thread, but there's only one person that thinks it's cool to actively seek out internet racists and argue with them and/or refer to people mocking SJW's as cringey and not the SJW's, and that's self important blowhards that value being agreeable more than having some integrity. Like you're over here dragging people through the mud for talking about SJW's... Why? They're addressing people in society that think pedophiles should be allowed to have intercourse with children, that minority groups should wear their skin colors on their foreheads, want to bring back segregation, and literally argue shit such as (Yes this is verbatim) "My penis is just as feminine as your vagina". And these people have political sway because politicians realized all they have to do is be the equivalent to a fast food chain's social media page and play Yes Man to these people and it will earn them votes. I've seen some of your past content. I know you're not stupid. So my perspective is basically that you either have no spine or are ignorantly talking out your ass. Either way, people didn't need a 30 minute video that basically boils down to "Some people on the internet acted stupid over a cosmetic and I want to acquire clout on UA-cam by making fun of them". He does it all of the time, and it's even been discussed in-game. And thus it's completely in-character for him to own this hoodie BECAUSE he draws lines for himself all of the time. He's just like that, and he's been like that. This isn't weird at all, and it's only weird and out-of-character to people because people really want it to be. They either never actually played the games (basically fake "fans" that just wanna kick and scream about something) or they just totally never paid attention because they don't like thinking.
Which is the morality of a complete moron.

Yeah Travis never gave me a single instance of racism. He always was so kind Shinobu, the most prominent POC in the series. Just on that surface level of understanding of the series, it makes no sense that Travis would be racist.

Don't be the UA-camr on a high horse thinking trite content is less trite if they're the one making it. Do better.
Yeah, the more I watch this the more embarrassing this all is. Like, no one was really talking about this shit for months. It was a dead meme. I've been a subscriber for a while and I really loved his in depth analysis on games like Silent Hill and Dead Rising. This just crept up outta nowhere and it felt like he needed to blow off some steam. It's honestly a goofy ass video throughout and some of it felt cherry picked (using some 4chan greentext shitpost as examples was awful).
I hope this is his one and done bullshit vid and he gets back on track with actually making decent content. I guess the one thing I can take away from this that was positive to at least myself was that it introduced me to TheAlmightyLoli. I've already loved some of his stuff. The Resident Evil video was pretty damn good.
Well said. I don't care what side of the aisle you're on, this video was just 28+ minutes of some nobody YTer spewing political hot takes.
So it's okay when people spew their politics if they complain about SJWs, but not okay when people make fun of them for complaining about SJWs?

@@Peasham It's because there's channels where thats to be expected. This was never really Ghenry's shtick for lack of better words so of course people are gonna have more knee jerk reactions to this kind of content. This video just comes off as pretentious over a "controversy" that no one gave a fuck about for months.
Then it's being played up with "lol its jussa joke vid don't take it too seriously" when people call out the intent. Ghenry can have these takes and I'm not gonna attempt to have him silenced or anything. Don't be surprised when there's this level of discourse is all I'm saying.
Yeah I'm going to have to agree with this. This video's concept would have honestly worked better as a 2 minute segment in the hour or so NMH3 video. Which I'm still hyped for.
Would this video be different if the Hoodie had a racial slur on it, or an alt right dog whistle?
Yes, no shit it would.
"What if you replaced good thing with bad thing? Hah, I exposed your double standards 😎"
It's because it's virtue signaling. The sentiment was the same twenty years ago, but now it's just a can of worms backed by multinational corporations and celebrities so it's trendy to bring it up when nobody asked. Total opposite of punk rock which is how Suda and his game used to be defined.
"I was all for drinking water and breathing oxygen until I found out multinational CEOs and celebrities did it"
Anti-racism is one of the original parts of the punk movement. Without black people their wouldn't be punk rock.
What makes you think corporations actually care about minorities?

That 4chan buzzword salad post is a wild ride. Like they're literally not saying anything, just trying to jam as many dog whistle buzzwords from their echo chamber into a post. Do they really think that sounds good? Like it's supposed to be racist, transphobic and anti semetic for sure, but it legit just looks like baby talk my nephew would say. How do you get to the point you're talking shit about NMH3 sounding like a racist Elmo and thinking it sounds like anything but you're drunk on mouthwash at 1 in afternoon jfc.
can't believe people are mad about this and I'm racist AF. that being said you made a 30 minute video dissecting youtube and discord comments about why a video game character isn't racist or something so that's an L

Well, being against racism now makes you a racist. That's how the internet fucked up the discourse.

When there is a warning at the start you know its gonna be good.
I got some surprisingly deep thoughts about nearly every scene in this game.
Man, so many people whining about something that's so insignificant. Like, bro... if you're gonna get mad at a "Fuck Racism" hoodie in a game, chances are your priorities are very out of whack. And a phrase like that isn't "political" in the slightest?? If anyone has a problem with it, they're likely a racist themselves lol.

Why would you like someone called loli
So I think I understand why so many people are upset about the hoodie even though the statement itself is something that most people agree with a lot of people have already seen their favorite franchises that become come completely destroyed by politics and more or less become a piece of propaganda completely removing all of the things that the fans actually liked so when they see this in their video game they think it's going to happen to thare favorite game next.
