This is what Persona 5 was missing. Just the sheer amounts of fun and joy between the team. Genuine chemistry instead of a mutually sustained hate boner for "selfish adults". Even 5's beach and trip scenes didn't begin to have me rolling nearly as much as this did.
This is why Persona 4 remains my favorite. The Investigation Team genuinely felt like friends who just enjoys spending time together. In Persona 5, I feel like everyone treated Joker as the hero who can solve it all. In Persona 4, Yu felt more like one of the gang, which made me feel part of the group so much more.

Yeah, one of the biggest letdowns in p5 for me is the lack of amazing moments like this. All the special days out with the group felt lackluster to me, this one scene alone is better than all the p5 ones combined for me
Yeah, I ended up being much more emotionally attached to the P4 cast than the P5 cast. It felt like we didn't see enough of the characters in P5 just being normal kids like this. I really enjoyed the mundane life aspects of P4, where the characters felt like normal kids who didn't need an identity like "phantom thieves" to be relevant. They were simply well defined by their colorful personalities and "team development" moments like these. It felt like every bit of characterization outside of the SLs in P5 was plot related and scenes they had to flesh out the characters just being themselves with their friends in daily life felt too few and far between. Everything just felt homogenized into being "phantom thief" business and I think it really took away from how much I could relate to them or see them as a genuine group of friends. The P4 characters felt like they played off each other so much better because of an abundance of moments like this that just made the group click and have more chemistry than P5's phantom thieves could ever hope of replicating.

My opinion is P3 experimental mess that you'll love where all the characters would draw their personas because they could, it had a dark story but it was amazing as well P4 is a redundant kind of story, throw in tv, rescue, party member, a lackluster plot but daaamn did they focus on the character dev and the team interaction P5 though, the plot was fucking amazing but it lacked what P4 had, the character moments.

In the cutscenes at 5:40 the protagonist is holding hands with Yukiko. Does that happen regardless or only when you date her?
