This song really hits me. I relate so deeply to wanting an intense destructive love, turning to teen rebellion and misbehave in a very self destructive way to try in fill the empty and make sense of things. Now more than ever, I feel like i want to do so many things, and I can't help but feeling like I'm wasting my own youth sitting at home not experiencing all of the things I wish I was experiencing.

My friend used to run his own radio show and when he'd have guests on, he'd play songs he thought suited their personalities. When he had me on as a guest, this was one of the songs he played and that was the first time I heard it. I've been obsessed with it ever since.

This song and video brings out alot of strong weird feelings. To me it kinda represents the discomfort that comes along with letting others cross your boundaries because you know you wanna feel something but lacking the ability to know how much is too much. That paired with feeling unable to communicate what you want because you think it ultimately will not be respected or you will be rejected and so there's so much underlying shame because you feel bad for going out and not being what your daddy wants you to be because you want to rightfully explore your sexuality and also feeling bad because you are unable to say no to "the boys" for fear of rejection. So then your traped in a state of feeling like sexual favors is all you have to offer to a relationship.

so we all heard that when the song is playing, the volume gets lower, and i think i have a theory:
in an interview talking about mitski’s advices for teenagers, she talked about the fact that she would listen to music so loud in her headphones that she would start tasting blood in her mouth, and how she didn’t recommend to do it, and this kind of song is the one you blast in your headphones or speakers when you are alone, the type of songs that make you want to taste blood in your mouth, and idk how to conclude what i said but… ?? idk if you got what i said you got it:)
