    12.2KWt on 100Km very good consuption on old not so aerodinamic car, my frend on Kia Nero get 13KWt in 80- 90km/h speed.

    Wow, very nice consumption an ID.3 will eat his hart out 🤔😂 I manage a global consumption of 20 kWh/100km during the whole year in the Netherlands, and I often drive 100kph instead of an higher speedlimit in the evenings. So very well done and a good use of your skills and profession!

       @flyingtools Hi. Where did you buy leaf bms ?How much cost is it ? Is it dificult to connect with him ? Is it possible to make some changes in bms software? Do you have any links to tutorial "know how". I would like to connect batteries to leaf bms and charge it from sofar sollar hyd inverter. Dalla CAN-bridge would do a favour with communication with inverter. Have a great day!

    kept tha gearbox.. good of you . less consumtion when need to adjust.. i guess soon all ev cars to some hard road countries might have some cvt or even manual to adapt their cars for better usage

    Well done, what an awesome project. Keep up the good work. Seeing the things you have achieved, I have a project on my mind for a while now and would love to hear your thoughts. I was thinking of purchasing a damaged Dacia Spring for about 5000-6000 € and convert it to a home storage device. The idea was to keep the battery in the car and still charge it with the on board charger. Then remove the HV leads from the motor control unit and connect them with a solar inverter. What do you think, will it work or am I overlooking something. Best regards Stefan from Germany

      I had the same idea 10 years ago, but now the cell price of new EVE LF280K Grade A with 6000 cycles is actual approx 73 €/kWh. So new LFP cells for a 30 kWh battery are aprox 2200 €.

    • @stefanhorn7203
      @stefanhorn7203 4 місяці тому

      @@martinkobil That is true, however because I drive a Dacia Spring I would use it as spare parts depot.

    • @flyingtools
      @flyingtools  4 місяці тому

      Thanks. I do not recommend that. What will protect your battery during the discharge cycle?

    • @stefanhorn7203
      @stefanhorn7203 4 місяці тому

      @@flyingtools can you elaborate on this. Why is protection an issue in this instance?

    • @flyingtools
      @flyingtools  4 місяці тому

      If your battery goes low in one cell what will turn it off? The car will se that the current are leaving the battery for no reason and most likely open up the main relay.
      So to drain the battery you need to bypass those relays, and then, what will protect your battery? You can do this a few times like I did and check the cells yourself, but in the long term you need some bms that will do that for you.

    Solar electrical energy from grid : 20kwh * 0.28 Euro for 146km = 3.8 cents / km (based on 28 cents/kwh) 😘
    Solar own panels : 20kwh * 0.00 Euro / 146km = 0.00 Euro = 0 cents / km
    Solar own panels based on grid return price : 20kwh * 0.09 Euro / 146km = 1.2 cents / km (based on 9 cents return fee that you do not get because you charge car)
    Economical diesel powered car : 146km / 1:25 = 5.84liter * 1.60 Euro = 9.34 Euro / 146km = 6.4 cents /km (based diesel 160 euro / liter)

    Så om jag ska välja mellan att behålla min bils originalväxellåda och köra Nissan Leafs reduktionsväxel så kan det vara mer bränsleekonomiskt att välja det förstnämnda?

    Are you using just the motor and controller or the whole stack with charger and DC-DC converter? Last time I looked into the resolve controller, you had to use the original battery from a Leaf but now I see u use VW Batteries?

    Uten å være helt sikker så tror jeg dette er et høyere forbruk enn en Leaf, men ikke mye høyere, kanskje ~1kW/t per 10km. Ikke så dårlig for en konvertert bil med girkasse, og middelmådig aerodynamikk!
    Kilde: Har hatt Leaf.

      Hej. Jag tror du har helt rätt i det du säger jag tror också att det i högre farter kan vara ännu större skillnad med fördel Nissan Leaf, blir eventuellt fler tester i framtiden. Tack för att du kollade☺️

    If you measure the power you need to put in to fully charge it, you will know the actual power required to do x kilometers?

      There is losses during charging, it can be more then 10%

    • @MiniLuv-1984
      @MiniLuv-1984 4 місяці тому

      @@flyingtools It seems to me that the reason one measures capacity is to identify where improvments can be made. A 10% loss in charging is an area where improvements probably need to be made, especially if one is using solar panels for charging.

    • @flyingtools
      @flyingtools  4 місяці тому +1

      @@MiniLuv-1984 i think that the car manufacturers has been struggling with this a lot, but converting ac to dc will always be hard to achieve without power losses. The solar power is almost free in my case, so i can take that loss.
