He had to modify it again (removed the front wheel) for it to work as a trashcan so doesn't really count imo

@@zureroomsoesheh8026 yes, this ruined the whole record too, you can just take a fast cart at that point and put a trash can on top of it too, from the outside it doesn't look like a trashcan anymore with that huge wheel sticking out, if you see the video of the previous record holder, it still looks like a trashcan, but I guess it would have too much effort making it well and still beat the record, so they cheapened out like this
I thought I'd share this. Here in Australia we have very similar bins. Two smallish wheels. Owing to a rather long driveway we generally hook the handle of the bin over the tow ball of the car and drive it down to the road and leave it parked ready for collection. One day, we forgot to take the bin off, and drove into town. Some 12 km later we parked and discovered the bin was still attached. Yep, we proved that a standard bin can do 100 km/h (60 mi/h). Apart from a couple of melted spots where the wheel had rubbed on the bin, it survived - and lasted for many years after.
And as you passed the garbage truck on its way to yours they looked out the window and thought you had decided to take matters into your own hands! 🤣
In the rural south USA we have to drive our trash off to the landfill ourselves. My trash can got up to 70mph in the bed of my truck (a ute is what I think y'all call them lol) but I'm sure I can get it up to 80mph before it blows off.

Guinness World Records is a scam; I think it's time that people as a whole stopped seeing them as the "official" arbiter of all world records. It's a good thing that he did this at an actual race track - that's absolutely good enough to make this official.
The reason I say this is that you have to pay them large sums of money for a world record - so when I see stuff like this, I hope that they DON'T have a Guinness record for the creator's sake.
Guinness is also known for supporting various dictators in their desire to stack up random-ass records for large sums of money, and... well, they're literally just some beer company.
