Juke boxes had become rare then. I have always been a Woody Herman fan - saw them many times in the UK, Canada and US - and Four Brothers by MT was on the juke box. Put the money in and low and behold sounds of this wonderful version filled the pub. I became a life long fan there and then but sadly never saw them live. I had returned to the UK and marriage before they hit the scene.
Unforgettable to see the Transfer live in Victoria (Spain) in 1987,doing all these songs.. When the spring comes, my heart sing "Joy spring", a celebration of the great Jon Hendricks. How can you write something like that, is out of my mind. Just a joy!!
The Perfect Jazz group ever.. this concert spells Excellence! The flawless vocal performance, the virtuoso Band, every one on stage is a musical gift.. total satisfaction to us. miss u Tim.. Biggest thanks guys. ❤❤❤

This was MT at the top of their game. Vocalese was a groundbreaking album, and still untouched in vocal jazz.
