@ApsmneShsbshu It's content that oftentimes should have been included in the base game, but has instead been foisted off into 'optional' content you need to pay for. Some companies know how to make great DLCs that are def worth your money, but not all do. Contrary to what seems to be a lot of opinions these days, I love Ubisoft for what they've created and provided over the years, but not even I, a supposed fan, can deny that they nickel and dime wherever, whenever and however possible.

They really put all the famous characters in the DLCs
Jabba and Qi’ra are in the main game and actually have a place in a story like this as they are established crime bosses, At This point Lando is working with rebellion and no longer in control of Cloud City so he wouldn’t make much sense and I don’t think Hondo has established Ohnaka transports yet meaning he isn’t really anything more than a stray pirate at this point in time. They are neat to see but really wouldn’t make much sense as key players in the timeframe the game is set in (either way I’m just glad to see Hondo, He’s been trapped at the Disney parks for the last half a decade)

I was an avid gamer but with life already coming in the way along with the price point of all these games, games coming out unfinished and fixed with updates, and then just knowing I can wait a year or two and get the same game with the proper updates and the season pass for $15 makes it pointless to buy any game day 1 release.

It's become part of the pipeline at this point. The DLCs are not ready yet, as you can see they just used concept art, and are usually worked on once the game has gone gold. Sometimes patches hold things up, too. I'll be using Ubi+, but I figured I'd chime in on "holding back" content.

My thought was, these DLC's seem to be mostly episodic sidequests (a contact approaches you with a job, yadda yadda), and I'd prefer if Xizor came back he get a larger plot, like more of an expansion.

Ahh I love it when companies release a game, but hold back content for extra money. It really makes me feel valued as a customer!
I'll just wait for everything to be bundled together and buy it on sale in a few years. I've been doing that for a while now, working through backlogs of games instead of buying new. Avoids all the anxiety and can get great games at good prices in their complete form.

DLCs are releasing way too soon. It feels like the rushed the game and will stop support quickly...
mostly it depends on the sales. Assassins creed valhalla was well recieved, so they made an additional year supporting the game with a third huge dlc.

Very disapointed that there's no additional planets as part of the dlcs. It will be a pass for me. Even smaller areas similar to what has been done for AC Odyssey or AC Valhalla would have been amazing with the opportunities that the Star Wars IP offers.

Since it's a single player game, why would they include a season pass? It would make more sense to have one for multiplayer. Anyone have any ideas?
Season pass is a bundle which includes multiple (at least 2) story expansions, so sets of missions which are in no way conected to the main plot of the story but are also too big for side quests

@@lI_Speedor_Ilseason pass implies that future dlc will be created and added to the season pass bundle. What do you think is more likely to happen in the future. 1. More dlc is created and added to the season pass so people that got the season pass can immediately start playing and the season pass becomes more enticing to actually get. Or 2. Any future planned dlc, if there is any, is planned to fall into the next season pass requiring people to now purchase a second season pass.
One thing I am noticing is the versions that let you buy the season pass do not say future content. Which is almost necessary to make a season pass make sense. We can't already be at the end of the season before the game releases.
One more thing to mention is I don't think you can purchase the season pass separately so if you wanted to just get the basic game and then later they add stuff to the season pass but only people that got the gold or ultimate edition can play it there is a level of FOMO. Usually when games release the season pass is a completely separate purchase not tied to any editions of the game and usually they don't have basically finished content in the season pass. It's more so the content that is in the work.

The season pass will 99,9% be sold separately after the game comes out, or at least that was the case for the latest Ubisoft game (Avatar)
As for the content being finished, it is not... for the 2nd dlc they dont even show in game footage and instead just concept art screenshots which means its still so early in development that they dont have anything to show, but a the same time want people to know whats included so they can decide if they want to buy the more expensive version or not
