Awesome ride! However, what I think Disney should do for these more recent IP drops in EPCOT is instead of dedicating individual pavilions or areas to IP, they should integrate them into each existing pavilion. Each IP drop would act as an example of Disney products or pop culture and its interpretation of that area of science and technology for that pavilion and the role it has played in advancing culture’s awareness of that field. For example. EPCOT currently has a space pavilion (mission space) which acts as a truly EPCOT example of displaying and allowing others to experience the technologies and emerging ideas of space travel. In the case of Guardians of the Galaxy, this could act as an IP example for the space pavilion, displaying pop culture’s interpretation of space technology in the movie and educating the viewer about how the ideas brought about in IP could help to inspire future technologies and generations. A short preshow film could describe this and tie the IP in and then the ride could just be a Guardians of the Galaxy ride with no need for further tie-ins to EPCOT. This model would allow Disney to happily integrate IP for every Future World Pavilion while also retaining EPCOT’s ideas of technology, edutainment, the future, and inspiration for all. World of Motion could become home to test track and IP such as Star Wars and all the examples of possible new transportation technologies that could emerge in future decades from those movies. As mentioned previously, the Space Pavilion could be home to mission space and the guardians of the galaxy. They could reconstruct the queue building behind the current space pavilion and redivert the launch tunnel to the roller coaster. The Universe of Energy could be reinstated and then become home to an IP example such as Fantasia where you discuss examples of energy seen in scenes such as bald mountain. The Living Seas could reinstate the educational dark ride and then tie in IP such as 20,000 leagues or Nemo or the little mermaid and discuss the diversity and fragility of the world’s oceans. The land could be home to living with the land, soarin’, and IP like Pocahontas or Moana. The Imagination pavilion could be home to journey into imagination and IP like alice and wonderland where you could discuss the impact of Disney animation and the whimsical creativity and imagination found in the movie on the liberal arts. Even the health pavilion could be re-instated and integrate IP like inside out where you discuss the impact of mental health and balancing emotions. Pleace feel free to let me know what you think about this idea. I really think it would benefit the Disney visitor and Disney in regards to EPCOT and IP.
I'm 12 years old and I just got off of this ride. Now, I'm a kid who rides mild coasters like thunder mountain, slinky dog dash, seven dwarfs mine ride, and this ride was AMAZING! That was an extremely smooth ride. (In my opinion), and yeah. The only thing I was nervous about was the backwards speed and the big drop in the beginning when the big bang happened, other than that, the ride itself was just, fun. I highly recommend this if you are a mild rollercoaster guy who just likes tech, the guardians of the galaxy itself, or just a smooth experience on a decent roller coaster. If you do have motion sickness, please don't go. It's more likely you'll throw up than having a fun time in there. Rating: 8/10
Great review - I would definitely visit to go on this ride. Agree, animatronics in that area would have been so cool! Also yay for Allison to bravely go on this ride! And LOVED HER VINTAGE VIDEO FOOTAGE. Omg the best
Happy belated birthday Kevin! Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing your ride experience. Could be quite awhile before we head back to Disney, so it's nice to be able to see all the new stuff happening down there
They have been working on this ride before my daughter finished High School, and she’s finished college and has been working for over six months. I’m not a person to run to get on all the rides. I like to be present on my vacation. Not looking at my phone, and stressing out because I didn’t get a boarding number. I have not been on frozen or ratatouille. If it happens it happens. Right now I’m not happy with Disney due to the rip they are trying in everyone’s pocketbooks. You tell me what hotel cost $1300 a night, and its NOT a five star hotel! It’s got vinyl sticker on the walls and IKEA like furniture. Even the value resorts have went up over 70% increased price, because Disney is no longer calling them value resorts. Disney is charging $500 to 650 a night. I’ll wait till people get tired of Disney’s increases. Thank you Kevin for your review on this ride.
I love this guy's honesty and sarcasm/dry humor at times. He reminds me of Norm MacDonald. Keep up the good content sir. I love watching each new video.
If you have a company that no longer cares I don’t blame the cast members how they look (frustrated and disappointed) I Appreciate all they do for us I really wish they brought some magic back … Nothing personal but the ride reminds me a lot like Mickeys runaway railroad .. specially the room with the tornado the whole room is empty and the funnel in the middle no props or Debris .. Disney is going for the whole screen thing no imagination like other rides this ride it seems so generic but of course it goes fast thats it and it spins .. Great Video thank you..
This is my favorite ride in all of Disney world! So much fun! Amazing queue, I loved the music we had (flock of seagulls I ran), saving the galaxy (spoiler alert?), 10/10 will ride again!
Just got home from a week's stay at Coronado Springs. We used the genie plus to make our reservation at 7am and had no problem. We had 4 people tied to the genie plus. Then my son who is 15 decided to try to log into the virtual queue. We were able to ride Guardian's twice the first day we were in the park. Then on our last day Friday we did the same entry with the lightning lane/pay, then my son went in and was able to get the virtual queue once again. Asked one of the cast members if this would work....they might want to check into this. Just wanted everyone to know if they want to give it a try.
16 Animatronics - that is how many animatronics were supposed to be at the new Guardians ride in Epcot. Then that number was lowered and then lowered again until the top executives said, no no not a chance. (I don’t know if that’s exactly what was said but that’s the gist, LOL.) It was decided that there would be zero animatronics. That was done to save money. Ultimately instead of doing the ride complete and correct and its best to begin with they decide they will make it good but they just won’t give it that extra. That’s why for me personally the ride looks really great and fun to ride but it does seem lacking as far as the visual theming throughout the actual ride. Even the inside queue, the first room with the galaxy on the ceiling the room itself just feels sterile and lacking. The next area that has displays is a lot lot better. It does keep your attention more. You have things to see and things to listen to. Once again though in a way it just kind of seems sterile. [Side Fact - a similar thing was also done to the boat ride in Pandora. That boat ride was supposed to be a lot more and a lot better but it was scaled back to what is there now. The reason given was to save money. ] The other thing that gets me about Disney and their new rides is the fact they are/were so far behind schedule which was blamed on pandemic and money. Universal during the pandemic actually continued with construction, their newest roller coaster opened fairly close to when it was supposed to. Disney stopped everything. I know the reasons they gave but I don’t personally believe them fully. I think it gave them a chance to scale things back or completely stop things to keep the money for themselves. Disney is going to be in a very bad position, in just my opinion, if leadership doesn’t change the way they are handling things especially the theme parks. We keep hearing and seeing that their theme parks and hotels are bringing in record profits and more and more and more money. Things don’t get done or they get completely canceled with lack of money given as the reason. Universal Studios, especially in Orlando, is on Disney’s backside and I think is about to go past them. When Universal‘s third theme park opens if Disney doesn’t start now by updating and starting to build newer and better attractions especially at Disney World I think Disney may become the secondary place to visit instead of the primary. I mean Universal and this new theme park is going to have another Wizarding World land with rides and a Super Mario Brother land with rides and I’m also hearing a How to Train your Dragon area with rides and I think even a Universal Monsters area with rides. There will also be at least one possibly two more hotels they’re building attached to that area. I think there are also plans to even expand that third theme park as time progresses. Disney is going to have to do better. They are going to have to spend the money to make things better and to continuously bring great rides to the different parks. They need to overhaul their food at Disney World. The food at Disneyland is a lot better than at Disney World. Why they can’t be the same is beyond me. I’ve heard rumors that Universal possibly might even Pokemon might be coming to that third theme park down the road. Those are things that really speak to people in their 30s and 40s. Those are the people that Disney needs to be grabbing and keeping their attention. Let’s be really honest. When it even comes to water parks Universal‘s Volcano Bay is far superior to anything Disney has. I don’t like saying any of what I said. I was brought up as a Disney fanatic. My whole family are Disney fanatics. We’ve seen every show and every movie and know every song just like so many others who love Disney. We would go once and a lot of times go twice a year down to Disney World even though we live in Louisiana. We always stayed on property and we even became DVC members. Disney is a big part of our lives. That’s why I to me it’s so upsetting to see what’s happening or I could say, not happening.
Gosh, I LOVE the Guardians but I did not fair well with Rock N Roller Coaster so I've got no idea how I'd handle this. Glad to hear that it's smooth though!
Looks amazing!!! I did worry a little though when Terry Crews said not to video and you didn't!!! I was worried you were going to get into trouble!!!! Glad you had a good birthday.
It was so awesome getting to meet you and Allison in person on your birthday! Y’all are as genuine in person as you are on the videos. Keep doing what you do, you are great at it! Yeehaw from Texas!!!!!
I'm definitely excited for the ride, I love coasters so I'm definitely going to check it out next time I go down. But your last thoughts are kind of the same I have for EPCOT in general, it seems to be having an identity crisis, I'm not trying to be a "purist", but the rides theme seems out of place for EPCOT.
So far the complaints I have with this ride is yes, great value rocket 😂, but I love they brought back the rest of the crew (also it's awesome to see Pratt in both Disney and Universal parks), the story is eh, it's kinda all over the place. I think what really saves this ride is the dark environment like with space mountain, and the music. It sucks they didn't put any animatronics in this ride too. I dont know when I'll be able go ride it, and betting from others reactions I will probably enjoy it, but I don't see myself saying this ride is the best, or its going to blow me away with story, etc. Also they can definitely add more stuff in the end that was empty af lol
I haven’t ridden Guardians yet but I’m planning a birthday trip in July specifically for this! So indirectly following your birthday plans as well! 😂 I agree that I don’t like all the screens, they could’ve added at-least 3 animatronics in the queue but overall looks like a fun experience that I can’t wait to try!
I love the look of the queue and the ride graphics, but I CAN’T ride backwards, spinning in the dark. It’s like Everest and Space Mountain combined, both of which make me really nauseous. Breaks my heart because I love the movies. Did you ever see the Guardians stage show they did a few years back? It was so fun! I’d love to see them bring that back in an area near this new ride…and I met Star Lord and Baby Groot I think at Hollywood Studios at one point… would love to see that return. It was one of the best meet and greets I ever had, talking to Baby a groot about the fact that there were more flavors of ice cream than vanilla 😂🤣 they could literally take over part of that empty pavilion with Gaurdians stuff they already have made
Much agreed with your take on the ride and the current state of Epcot. I was lucky to ride the attraction on the 10th and was blown away. It was TREMENDOUS! We got row 10 and September. Neither myself or my brother felt sick afterwards and were immediately eager to ride it again. Unfortunately they were not allowing re-rides that day so we booked a park pass after Memorial Day wknd and keeping fingers crossed that we get to ride it again. 🌌⏪ #GroovyTunesAndRocketRacoons
went yesturday with 3 others friends, no one felt sick either. I loved it, I still thick velocicoaster does it for me, but I also get its a different ride. so at disney it might be my favorite so far.
So I rode Cosmic Rewind & it was disappointing, but hear me out because there are positives & negatives. I would say no spoilers here but theres just simply nothing to spoil. Nothing about this ride wowed me or left me wondering "how did they do that" like Rise of the Resistance, the Haunted Mansion, & Pirates of the Caribbean always have. I also had the chance to re-ride it following my 1st ride through but just didn't feel compelled to do so at all as I left thinking "well once was good enough" (probably not a good sign for a brand new attraction that includes one of my favorite IPs). As just a roller coaster, Cosmic Rewind is wihout a doubt a game changer. Its very much a modern take on space mountain. Its such an incredibly smooth ride. The ride system is unquestionably great & definitely innovative BUT I would love to see it utilized better by showcasing animatronics & sets (like the classic omnimovers that inspired this new omnicoaster) instead of screens & projections. Hopefully we'll see the imagineers put this ride system to good use in the near future. I just dont feel any connections with the characters when they're not physically represented in some way. It never feels like they're really going on this adventure with me whenever they're just projections. The queue/preshow have some cringy references to the MUCH BETTER EPCOT of the past. The references just made me sad because it made me acknowledge the death of EPCOT & how superior all of the 80s attractions truly were. The music was without a doubt my favorite part of the ride. I loved Rule the World & the Universe of Energy guitar riff right before the big bang. This reference to the superior attraction was easily my favorite part of the ride. If you're looking for an interesting & immersive story, you wont find it here. I just cant wrap my head around the fact that theres more animatronics at WDW from IPs such as a Bug's Life & Dinosaur (2 IPs that i do love) than freaking Marvel (a multi billion dollar generating powerhouse of a franchise). Speaking of dinosaurs, we lost a recreation the absolutely HISTORIC Primeval World diorama that featured a handful of animatronics for this. This baffles me even more when I consider the fact that theres an existing Rocket Racoon animatronic at DCA that could & should have been simply copied & pasted into this ride somewhere/anywhere.
I have a feeling that how you feel about is how I would also feel about it. It looks pretty good and I’m sure it’d be fun but doesn’t intrigue me all that much. The lack of animatronics and show scenes is a huge miss.
I love how people love to overthink things and act like that things should be 100% perfect to enjoy it and if that thing isn’t 100% perfect with no flaws then people will complain and be disappointed🤣 what’s even more silly these things like rides moves shows games the place itself they are just things , but people seem to can’t enjoy things in today’s world I don’t really understand why lol
Going next Friday for the opening of the ride. I’m very excited for this ride but I’m not a fan of the virtual queue, it was already stressful with Rise. But anywho, great review of the ride and I cannot wait to get on it :)
“great value bradley cooper” LMAO but I have to agree as someone who loves rocket in the guardians films, the VA didn’t have the same charm as cooper does. if they had the rocket animatronic from DCA transported to here (or just have cooper voice him on CR), it would be even more perfect than how it is already. overall, cosmic rewind is amazing from first hand experience & even with those small imperfections, it’s my favorite ride at wdw :)
We rode Thursday the 12th ( can’t believe I rode this before you Mr. Heimbach🤣).... I agree with everything you said 🙌🏻love, love, love this ride !Yes the acting was off , I commented on the cast costumes🤢as well... all of your observations were spot on but still will be worth visiting just for this ride 💯agree!
This is the ride Epcot needed? I don’t think so. This is something that belongs in Hollywood Studios, not in the Experimental Prototype City Of Tomorrow. Maybe the little display about Xandar might be something that highlights the possibilities of our future here on Earth, but the Guardians adventure after the Colossus was unnecessary. Now as for the ride itself , separate from Epcot as an entity; it looks somewhat fun and I’ll love to ride it some day.
You seem like you mean well but saying it’s worth a trip for this ride is laughable. No single ride is worth thousands of dollars for those of us who aren’t locals. A whole new land with multiple attractions or a whole new park might be worth it.
Thanks for the honest review , the ride looks nice , but is like Galaxy edge 2.0 , NO Characters from the movie on the actual attraction, empty once again, you can have a full cast of aliens , Star Lord, Gamorra ect. but you have NONE , and the cast uniforms are the ugliest I ever seen , its like a 90s Baskin Robbins + Taco Bell from 1994
I don't get why so many UA-camrs have to put "Brutally honest" or "really honest" reviews. Isn't a review already includes being honest? I only notice this with Disney reviews 😅
Almost every Disney media team reviewer will never say anything negative. If you speak out about how you don't like something, Disney kicks you off the media team. They don't like bad press. It's hard to find actual honest reviews
@@KevinHeimbach so your really lying then and that when you review rides and say you like them and they are good , you actually don’t like the ride ? Lol
@@KevinHeimbach Ik and you can’t trust any form of media if the media says one bad thing about something then people will just automatically agree lol if the media says something good about something then the people will automatically agree lol
I thought she was gonna say hop on board the Halcyon from Star Wars instead lol...Really not sure about rides mostly comprised of projections and no or very little in animatronics...
😐☹️ I have to give it to Disney when it came to Bradley Cooper he refused to do the voice for this ride that was the biggest disappointment I guess he's too big of a star for Disney ride
I'm only seeing it through your video, but from someone who hasn't and will probably never ride this ride, it looks exactly like they combined space mountain and rock n roller coaster. I'm glad it's smooth and I know the cars rotate, so I'm sure riding it feels different. But from what I see, it looks like someone designed a really cool coaster and Disney just used old rides (with new tech) for the screens around it. It doesn't look original. And the acting was terrible. It does not make me wanna go back.
That is exactly my thoughts as well. It looks like it would be fun but nothing awe inspiring. It could have been so much better. The Space Mountain and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster comparison is spot on.
The preshows are cringy. It’s like they don’t have a script and they just told them to say anything. Referring to the passengers as Terrains make no sense. It’s just bad. It’s just as bad a calling the guests Recruits on Rise of Resistance. Stop patronizing and stop being goofy on the preshows.
You do know people from all walks of life go here right? When you watch other vids, a lot people are laughing to these cringy jokes so it might be cringy to you but it's funny to others.
It’s such a shame that Disney is doing this. That used to be such a wonderful park even when they did away with the ticket system in the late 70s, it made things so much more easy and fun. The park was a staple of my summers, we would go most every summer and make such great memories
@Adiel Alfonso We always rope drop so first thing in the morning go straight to those big rides with little wait. If you're staying on property then better cause even earlier.
Great review- really enjoyed it👍
"Groot is the tree of life." haha, cool vlog!
happy belated bday kev! Bradley Cooper's replacement voice was weird indeed, noticed it right away too

Those 3d models with the projections on remind me of the audio of the future world model in the indoor part of the People Mover. Love it.

happy birthday! I went twice for the CM previews and once for my AP preview thur!
Now NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE SCREENS but when universal did it, Disney fans used to make fun off.
We were there on the same day! Just found your videos! I’m an AP and we did the preview too. I thought your description of the ride was spot on.
Looks amazing!!! I did worry a little though when Terry Crews said not to video and you didn't!!! I was worried you were going to get into trouble!!!! Glad you had a good birthday.
Living on the edge filming LOL
I freaked out on our May 8th screening and put it away, lol.

I love how Disney Took an Idea from Portal and Made it there own.
They’ve been taking ideas and making it their own since the early days of making movies based on classic fairy tales.
Portals are not an original idea, you must be crazy to suggest that
I love the look of the queue and the ride graphics, but I CAN’T ride backwards, spinning in the dark.
#GroovyTunesAndRocketRacoons
went yesturday with 3 others friends, no one felt sick either. I loved it, I still thick velocicoaster does it for me, but I also get its a different ride. so at disney it might be my favorite so far.
Happy late birthday Kevin!!🎉🥳
Are you just gonna copy paste your review on every video?
I have a feeling that how you feel about is how I would also feel about it. It looks pretty good and I’m sure it’d be fun but doesn’t intrigue me all that much. The lack of animatronics and show scenes is a huge miss.
I love how people love to overthink things and act like that things should be 100% perfect to enjoy it and if that thing isn’t 100% perfect with no flaws then people will complain and be disappointed🤣 what’s even more silly these things like rides moves shows games the place itself they are just things , but people seem to can’t enjoy things in today’s world I don’t really understand why lol
Def great value B. Coop
They’ve also slowed it down a little (Guardians) from the first time I rode it in April, felt less sick the second time around
Happy belated birthday Kevin!!!
Thanks buddy
Looks like an awesome ride!
i just moved in for the program and loved it
A lot has changed since peter quill was last in Epcot center
I was really excited for Cosmic Rewind, but I get such bad motion sickness I don’t think I could do it. Even the new Ratatouille ride was bad for me.
Love the Zegler family cameo haha
Oh and happy birthday!!!
Rockits my favorite
Thank you Sir.
Chris Pratt may be tired of animating Orlando theme park rides. 🤣.
I see you ended up with Tears for Fears. When we go I hope to get Blondie as our music.
Happy belated birthday! 🎂
should i watch this if i want to be surprise?
Happy Belated birthday 🎂
Love the vids, love the different things to see and kept updated with what’s new
Thanks for the honest review , the ride looks nice , but is like Galaxy edge 2.0 , NO Characters from the movie on the actual attraction, empty once again, you can have a full cast of aliens , Star Lord, Gamorra ect. but you have NONE , and the cast uniforms are the ugliest I ever seen , its like a 90s Baskin Robbins + Taco Bell from 1994
*me just going to cosmic rewind for the AC*
Wait till you experience the Tron ride
That’s not a man, That’s a celestial!!‼️‼️‼️
Meh. That was about the ride....nice video/review.
Lol
@@edwardjones1482 I’m comparing it to how dishonest other reviewers are with rides. Can’t ever fully trust Disney media.
@@KevinHeimbach Ik and you can’t trust any form of media if the media says one bad thing about something then people will just automatically agree lol if the media says something good about something then the people will automatically agree lol
Happy birthday. As for this new attraction, I think it should have been at Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom.
It would have been great at Hollywood Studios and could have made a mini guardians land around it
22:35 please Vlog a DnD sesh… PLEASE!!!
happy late birthday!
Happey birthday
Ayee we got the same birthday.
May 13th Woot Woot
I dont think thats pomegranate juice kevin...
I thought she was gonna say hop on board the Halcyon from Star Wars instead lol...Really not sure about rides mostly comprised of projections and no or very little in animatronics...
Happy Late Birthday!
Thank you:)
You’re welcome, and it was an amazing video, as always!
Why did you cut the video out at the most intense part of the ride? Lol.
Because of the music in the background. Didn’t want a copyright strike:/
@@KevinHeimbach Ah. True... I thought maybe you were swearing up a storm or something. 😂
A castmember? PERRY THE CASTMEMBER!?!
hey Kevin, just to let you know I send you something on your PO Box
I’ll have to go check the box:)
Riding it in T-minus 1hour
Let me know what you think:)
@@KevinHeimbach
I loved it 10/10 but only part I didn’t like was the flashing before the actual ride
While the coaster looks great and I’d love to ride it, won’t be going to WDW for at least a couple years. Just can’t justify the cost.
It's just going to be more expensive. Prices don't go down. They only go up. So, if it's too expensive now....
Not sure how this was misconstrued. I personally don’t feel the value for the cost is currently there. That can obviously change in the future.
Dude, you gotta do Ratatouille! You won’t be disappointed.
I know LOL It's on my list with the MK fireworks
I did it in Paris and I was disappointed by the amount of screens and lack of animatronics.
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch Damn, you are traveling the world. Been in Paris and Singapore. Hope it's all true though and not bull.
@@gissneric Why would I lie? Anyone can travel if they know how to plan and budget.
Great ride, but, preshow banter YAWNNNNN. Talking, very, slowly.
When you watch other vids, a lot people are laughing to these cringy jokes so it might be cringy to you but it's funny to others.
you are gona have to pay to ride it ? Really ?
Pay To Play is Disney’s New Motto
It’s such a shame that Disney is doing this. That used to be such a wonderful park even when they did away with the ticket system in the late 70s, it made things so much more easy and fun. The park was a staple of my summers, we would go most every summer and make such great memories
@@sharkyfish3492 you can still book a virtual queue for free but you just have that option to pay to ride if you wanna skip all that.
@Adiel Alfonso We always rope drop so first thing in the morning go straight to those big rides with little wait. If you're staying on property then better cause even earlier.
@@gissneric and how much is that ?
Ride sucks tbh 4/10 it felt super cheap and no immersion plus the story telling hardly exist
*me just going to cosmic rewind for the AC*
