Still remember first time i heard voice of america that i rented from a friend of mine, i had to buy the record and since then.... well have every Little Steven album on vinyl..
I learned of him through his recent book Unrequited Infatuations. He is an amazing, driven man of compassion, energy, a force! This guy has accomplished so much in his life that it shames me for all the wasted opportunity of mine own.
I feel you. That book is one hell of a ride, and I’m just at the middle. I wish I would have been born 20 years earlier maybe I would be much more into music than I'm already now.
Totally agree, just finished his book - he never had that hit that broke him big, but what a life, social justice causes, side man for Bruce, an actor?! - I mean c'mon
Listened to the radio broadcast and I was really stunned...never heard of Little Steven before and few days later I bought "The voice of America" and still like it very much
Right up there with the greatest protest songs of all time. Just like Bitter Fruit and Checkpoint Charlie. And banging tunes, all of them ! Saw Stevie in London in 2017 and 2019 - both great, great nights.
Saw him back in the 80's with this band every time he came out West. Powerful and with conviction, and with Dino Danelli (R.I.P.) anchoring it all down back there on drums (kit designed by Dino himself).
Like our Friend Chris Cuomo would say :"True Ameri - can" /And i saw you last year at Kaufleuten Zürich just before my 50.Birthday.....🕉️🎸❤️... Steven you are a True American Icon and my Hero since the 80's....I'am born in Manhattan NYC 🗽 and Live in Germany at the Moment... 🙏🌈🕉️... Please Stay Safe and Healthy with Maureen and your Dog in these troubled Times in the Big Apple... LOVE MARC ❤️
Wow this is fabulous I shocked I don’t see before until recent watch Sopranos and Lilyhammer but aware of Bruce Springsteen not realising Steven Van Zandt play with him too as well his own band well what a fabulous treat and lesson for me so well done Steven and all band players absolutely fabulous performance ❤️ \10/
Ive just stumble upon this and i like it. Of course i know that hes the original member of the E street band with The boss Bruce but i didnt know his solo stuff that much. This particular song reminds me of KISS like they sound in 84-85. He has always reminds me of Paul Stanley in a way.
What an awesome and tight rocking band this was with a really interesting line-up, almost like a new supergroup kind of thing, I wish they'd continued like this maybe do an album and tour the next year but they all ended up scattered to the four winds not too long after this...
I saw this band at the Kabuki Lounge in San Francisco. My ears hurt. Van Zandt is valuable member of the E Street Band, but here he certainly stands on his own. And picking Dino Danielle was a smart move.
We have no business in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Central/South America. We have our own problems to deal with instead of sticking our nose where it doesn’t belong. But thanks to T.A., they tell our government what to do.
He always had the makings of a varsity musician
Put that comment at the top.
LMAO. don't know what he's referring to here though. some crap in the ME I suppose, shoulda kept his fucking mouth shut.
Watched this concert on German tv in 1984. Did not know who he was, became a fan for life!
That's my consiglierie ❤️

Saw him in concert in Liverpool in 2019, he and his band were amazing! Also loved him in The Sopranos!
This rings so true now. 🙏 just as current and valid. To echo one of his lyrics ‘is what’s best in us worth trying to save?’
Simplemente saying GRACIAS Steven 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
I recently launched a fundraiser for missing people in South Africa and remembered this song. I share Steven's sentiments.

Power!
Grandissimo artista! Steveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! 👩❤️💋👨🤩🤩😍😍😘😘🎶🎸🎶💘♥️💔💯💋🌹
THIS IS BAD ASS! LITTLE STEVEN IS DRESSED LIKE CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW, WAY AHEAD OF HIS TIME! AND SHREDDING ON GUITAR!
"SHREDDING"? Lol
@Bobby Dazzler Steven Seagal like shredding, just bit more melodic.

Little Steven thinks this is his best song.....so I listened a little closer.....it's really good....
Best solo album L Steven put out

40 years later, our country is at it's worst than ever.

SVZ never had the makings of a varsity Mensa member
David Rosenthall? (X Rainbow) On keyboards?
Dino Danelli from The Rascals on drums. Jean Beauvoir from The Plasmatics on bass. Sorry, looks like he's playing guitar here.
And Gary Tibbs on bass guitar and vocals. He also played bass for Roxy Music and Adam and The Ants. He's a great bassist.
Giebts noch Konzerte von der Gruppe?

в сериале "Сопрано" очень хорошо сыграл он придурка-бандита, горячего поклонника Колумба😊
The mob really has done nothing good for him...
Tough guy…

No matter what year, whatever is going on… musicians just can’t stop talking politics… even if they have to make things up
Джек горобець 😅

Never apologize for America...it's the best thing mankind ever invented on this veil of tears planet.
Should have stuck with just music and acting.
