The one thing he felt he didn't have was respect from other nations. When he went on his hajj, he spent a ruinous amount of money to try to make Mali's prosperity clear to everyone along the way (and possibly also to cause the gold market in Cairo to crash, if rumors are to be believed.)

I got Hungary to play its agenda when I was on the losing side of the conflict (and not levying city state units). I got the Inca toplay theirs by expanding on the lowlands. The maori agenda has to do with global warming. The more Co2 you emit; the more they hate you. I hope this helps :)

And that’s only the tip of the iceberg!

For making Kupe to dislike, you have to intentionally harvest bonus resources. (building districts on top of them is not included however.);update; excavated archeological site works too. And for hungary, you conquered a city state.

I had the bad agenda reaction from Maoris in my first game in GS. It says something like "You soil the sea with your garbages". The only reason I found that could make this happen is that I was producing strategic resources (Horses, Iron and Niter, others resources werent available yet) and not using it at all, so I had 50 units of each resource. Which is roughly translates to: "The quickest way to succes is to *strengthen (or *reinforce* ) your little allies, isn't that right?" (wouldn't you agree is also correct) You don't reinforce your city state. You borrow their forces for your own goals. (you can upgrade them though) The correct one should be something like: "Hamar siker titka kicsiny szövetségesid *erejének* *besorozása* , nemde?"

It just that it's probably next to impossible, for the voice actor, to do the very formal English with the old French Canadian accent he uses when speaking French, which is still spoken in a formal register, but not as much as when he's speaking English, where it feel like he's reading an official statement or doing a prepared speech.
It is indeed the same person. I am a French Canadian that lives in the capital. This is what happens when you're bilingual and try to balance out your accents.

Eleanor is sassy af lol , I always add her as one of the civs when I play. Her mechanic in the game is also really unique, trying to flip the whole map to yours without any war is so fun but takes like forever

Many times, the languages are spoken by American voice actors who somewhat know the language. Sometimes, they don’t use traditional modern languages and try to reconstruct what languages would’ve sounded like at the times of the civ leader’s reign.

I got the Maori one just by building coal power plant in like fifteen cities very early in the game (Achieving something like 15k point towards climate changes) and somewhere around the atomic era he told me to respect the planet and shit, but i think it's a quite difficult agenda reaction to get due to a really high trigger prerequisite
Maori actually almost constantly gets pissy with me in the games I've played. Might've been a bug since this video was released early after the expansion.
Playing as Kupe I have had d Pachacuti said it was good that I respect that they dominate the mountains. My cities were all on the coast and had few if any Mountain tiles in the city radius. It was a single player game on prince difficulty, standard size and Continents. All the AI nations were random. Maybe the multiple Inca civs in your game kept 1 of them from having enough domination of mountain areas to say that you leave them to me. Or maybe your cities had too many mountain tiles in the city radius so they thought you were a rival.
I’m think you get the other Hungarian agenda scene by becoming suzerain of all the city states that Mathias wants, sort of like Pericles. I got a cutscene from him when I did that.
Can almost confirm. I became suzerain of city state and he only showed his agenda after him influancing on those same cities, like we compete on them. I think he sees it as both of us recognize the power these cities state posses, but he gets upset that while I am the suzerain and I don't take the advantage of levying them. I use them for the bonuses and not for the units, and he use them for the units and not for the bonuses.
I noticed that when I would focus industrial districts or would directly replace forests and other nature with a district, the maori would give me their dislike speech. Just a guess, but maybe also having coal and oil developments might get that, but not too sure
I did harvest them and built factories... also built nuclear plants that got affected by disasters and affected the nearby land, and even dropped nukes on myself :)

Probably a bit late but regardless I shall respond. I got the Maori to finally play their agenda reaction negatively. The only thing I can assume I did is two things really; either I'm harvesting every single luxury/bonus resource near me, or it's because I chopped the resource to put down a district, therefore getting rid of it. More likely the latter since he's unable to harvest resources for production and food himself. (This was also in the Medieval Era before global warming was an issue.)
Laurier's french line says "Pourquoi n'aider vous pas a resoudre les crise qui secoue notre monde, n'êtes vous pas sensible au malheur des autre" That's me a thing like "why you don't help to solve international problem are you heartless"
I have had Kupe tell me that I’ve polluted the planet by me harvesting resources. Strategic, bonus, and luxury, so maybe that has something to do with it?
The Maori agenda is confusing, I struggled because when I didn't improve they didn't like me (and the agenda played) but when I improved everything and cut down forests and rainforests they would react positively then negatively.
You can get the māori cutscene by just playing a normal inca game. Y'know the drill, build 100 terrece farms, get machu pichu going, use magnus to some extra chopping value, that's where he snaps

For Maori, you have to pollute the air with too many factories which causes the sea level to rise
Pretty sure I had a factory in every city, and probably 3-4 cities

Did the other civs in the game have lots of cities with factories? The Gathering Storm dlc added global warming effects
Probably a bit late but regardless I shall respond. I got the Maori to finally play their agenda reaction negatively. The only thing I can assume I did is two things really; either I'm harvesting every single luxury/bonus resource near me, or it's because I chopped the resource to put down a district, therefore getting rid of it. More likely the latter since he's unable to harvest resources for production and food himself. (This was also in the Medieval Era before global warming was an issue.)

I have had Kupe tell me that I’ve polluted the planet by me harvesting resources. Strategic, bonus, and luxury, so maybe that has something to do with it?
I always get the treating the planet bad one from the Maori. Even though I had negative CO2 emissions
The Maori agenda is confusing, I struggled because when I didn't improve they didn't like me (and the agenda played) but when I improved everything and cut down forests and rainforests they would react positively then negatively.
You can get the māori cutscene by just playing a normal inca game. Y'know the drill, build 100 terrece farms, get machu pichu going, use magnus to some extra chopping value, that's where he snaps
Funny, when I play against Maori, i seem to *only* get the negative reaction, and thats in the early game when I was just building quarries and such
yeah... reminds me of playing vs France, and the queen making fun of me for not doing any espionage in the bronze age :)
Maori dislikes it if when you chop woods and resources
for maori i think you need many cities using COAL power (adds the most CO2 pollution)
for the maori, i think theyll hate you if you harvest resources like stone and copper, or get rid of them when building a wonder or district
I got Hungary's negative reaction a lot. I think the key is having city state allies and a large standing army.
