As a muslim, i workout each time after praying salah, so everyday 5 times
    1 set (no rest):
Before workout : 15 star jumps
    1) 15 regular pushup
    2) 10 wide pushup
    3) 5 diamond pushup
    4) 30 russian twist
    5) 15 x reverse crunch and 15 x leg raise
    6) 30 squats
End of workout : 15 star jumps
Include with quran recitation to help throughout your day! Allahu alam

not a good idea to do it everyday brother. u need to rest the muscle when its sore and dont overtrain and can also ruin abit of your posture because since youre doing lots of pushups, that pec minor is gon contract and pull your shoulders forward and can lead to more injuries,i reccomend a channel called athlean-x he has alot of knowledge on fitness

This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. I'm not even Muslim but I always liked the positive messages in this channel. I even listen to the nasheeds. It's relaxing. It's soothing your soul. I usually listen to this channel when I'm tired or stressed out. It's full of positivity.
Yes, I am lazy when it concerns exercise and I procrastinate and this video gave me a lot of hope to start again. Whoever the speaker was, God bless him. What he said is true that's why he encourages exercise. It improves your self - image, it makes you in control, and when you're in control, you're happy. When you're happy, you're optimistic. When you're optimistic, you can achieve great things. Not just great but awesome things. When you can achieve great things, you get closer to God.
I'm not Muslim but Assalaam Alaikum! God bless you all!

Muay Thai and going to the gym, has really helped my health overall. Working out isn't about showing your body to the world - like the mentality of the west, rather it's about feeling good and confident in yourself... It starts with you.

Now that I push myself to go train even if I'm sore or don't feel like it, I find that I recover much faster. Keep asking Allah for help and do not refrain from it. If you are afflicted in any way, do not say: 'If I had taken this or that step, it would have resulted into such and such,' but say only: 'Allah so determined and did as He willed.' The word 'if' opens the gates of satanic thoughts".

My father got a head full of hair, but mine is a bit weaker on my left side. Im only 18. Learn from my mistake brothers. Dont always rely on science. Historic "sports" practiced by Sahabah Kareem during warfare: walking, navigating, camping, hiking, marching, running, camel/horse-riding, archery, climbing, excavating, swimming, sailing, wrestling/martial arts and swordmanship. Also eating healthy food and not overeating etc... and Almighty Allah Swt and his Prophet Saw knows best.

    Physical fitness
The Messenger of Allah (saaws) says:
"The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer and there is good in both" (Related by Muslim)
Physical fitness is part of the preparation for Jihad. What Jihad needs is not body builders. What Jihad needs is mujahideen who have the ability to walk for long hours, to run for long distances (important for guerrilla warfare), to sprint (important for urban warfare), and to climb mountains. The mujahid needs to be able to perform all of the afore-mentioned while carrying a weight. In Jihad lands such as Bosnia and Chechnya unfit brothers represented a burden on the mujahideen because they would slow down the whole group. Also the unfit can more easily fall in the hands of the enemy. So endurance exercises should take precedence over exercise for strength and flexibility.
Even if a Muslim is not going to fight, physical fitness is still important. For example, a fit person can withstand prison and torture more than a person who is not.
The early Muslims were fit since they led a military lifestyle. The companion Amr bin al Aas who opened Egypt in the time of Umar and was appointed as its governor used to say in Jumu'ah khutbah:
"I don't want to see any one of you gaining weight while your horse is losing weight. If I see that I will reduce your salaries accordingly"
So dear brothers, exercising with the right intention is an act of worship. Our sisters are not exempt from this. They also need to be fit and the Muslim community needs to work out halal alternatives for the sisters to exercise.

+sayakata paus I might seem self centered, but just looking at myself in the mirror is a motivation for me to keep working out, when you actually see all the hard work you did take action, it's a great feeling and that's what motivates me to keep exercising, I doubt this helped but I just thought I'd share xD

    • @Moe27777
      @Moe27777 8 років тому +6

sayakata paus In order to stay motivated to work out you need to understand a few things. When you begin to work this is the hardest stage you would go through. Knowing this should give you the drive to stay consistent because once you get pass this stage you will find it much easier to stick with your workout. Did I also mentioned this is point where you would see massive results? This itself would motivate you to work out more. When I started working out I was barely motivated. I went to the gym when I felt like it and as you expect I didn't see much progress. It was since realizing that in order get the desired results I wanted, I needed to stay consistent and give it my all. Ever since, I went to the gym regardless of how I felt. Was it hard? Yes of course! but it was worth it. I managed to add 24 pounds of muscles to my physique in 2 years and I look amazing!. I have more energy and I get more work done. Losing fat (10 pounds) and adding muscles also improved my looks. It gave me a nice chiseled jaw line and a muscular body which people always compliment me on. So remember it will be hard working out in the beginning, but you it will become second nature as long as you stay consistent. And lastly, the results you will gain will serve as motivating factor for you. So strive hard and you will accomplish you goals! May Allah make it easy for us and give us Jannah. Ameen!

If you do alot of anything it get reversed to the opposite.
If you eat alot you get fat.
If you get yourself too religious you start inventing into the religion.
The best way to do anything is the moderate manner possible.

Actually it's great to see this kind of topic being raised in an Islamic channel and I hope more of this will come and spread Insha'Allah , I think it's a very essential matter to look at and it is very much connected with Ibadah, if you look at it from the sense that Allah gifted you your body which is by far the greatest instrument that you will ever possess and gave you health and it's important that you realise the responsibility of taking care of your body and maintaining your health especially in today's world where we damage ourselves constantly with so many different practices including eating habits and exposure to different kinds of radiation (that come along with by modern day technology), so there's a vital need to create some sort of balance for your body to perform better, of course all that was mentioned in the video should motivate you as well because it really does effect your mood and mentality, and if you really want to motivate yourself to start exercising then consider doing it for the sake of Allah in a sense of gratitude for the body he has given you......May Allah guide us all and aid us in improving all aspects of our lifestyle!

    The Bedouin’s Dua
In the Book of Tabarani, there’s a narration. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) passed by a Bedouin man and he was making Dua. He was praying in his Salah, making Dua in his prayer. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) liked it and he stopped to listen to him. And he heard the man saying:
    يا من لا تراه العيون
    Ya Man La Tarahul ‘Uyun
O the one who eyes cannot behold in this world
    ولا تخالطه الظنون
    Wa La Tukhalituhud-Dhunun
and minds cannot comprehend His greatness
    ولا يصفه الواصفون
    Wa La Yasifuhul Waasifun
and people cannot praise Him as he deserves to be praised
    ولا تغيره الحوادث
    Wa La Yughayyiruhul Hawadith
and situations do not change him
    ولا يخشى الدوائر
    Wa La Yakhshad-Dawa’ir
and he does not fear the passing of time
    يعلم مثاقيل الجبال
    Ya’lamu Mathaqeelal Jibaal
He knows the exact weight of the mountains
    ومكاييل البحار
    Wa Maka’eelal Bihaar
And the volume of the oceans
    وعدد قطر الأمطار
    Wa Adada Qatril Amtar
And the number of drops of rain
    وعدد ورق الأشجار
    Wa Adada Waraqil Ashjaar
And the number of leaves on trees
وعدد ما أظلم عليه الليل وأشرق عليه النهار
Wa Adada Ma Udhlima Alayhil Layl Wa Ashraqa Alayhin-Nahar
And those things that the day illuminates with its light and the night hides in its darkness
ولا تواري منه سماء سماء، ولا أرض أرضاً
Wa La Tuwari Minhu Sama’un Sama’a, Wa La Ardun Arda’
And one sky cannot shield another sky, and no ground can shield another layer of ground from Allah
    ولا بحر ما في قعره
Wa La Bahrun Ma Fi Qa’rihi
And the ocean (in its depths and darkness) cannot hide anything from Allah
    ولا جبل ما في وعره
Wa La Jabalun Ma Fi Wa’rihi
And a mountain cannot (in its deepest darkest cave) hide anything from Allah
    اجعل خير عمري آخره
    ij’al khair Umri Aakhirah
Make best part of my life the last part of my life
    وخير عملي خواتيمه
    Wa Khaira Amali Khawatimah
and make the best of my action the action that I do in this life
    وخير أيامي يوم ألقاك فيه
Wa Khaira Ayyami Yowma Alqaak feeh
and the best day the day I return back to meet You.

Alhamdulilah this is such a good video. We hear alot about inward spirtuality but in the Muslim Ummah our health awareness and fitness is really in decline. You see alot of brothers and sisters that are obese. We need to understand that over eating and being over weight can actually be a sin.
I've seen alot of brothers getting into it but our sisters are lacking in this area and often after marriage it gets worse. I pray that Allah gives this Ummah great health and make us strong both spiritually and physically.

Imagine getting this advice from an Islamic channel.... I’m nothing more than glad and impressed! Now we could understand how exercising does not at all contradicts Islam, even in modesty and spiritual factor, in fact it helps to boost more in strength and spiritual, in our body continuous cycle. Only the way or environment the exercise is being carried out could affect them. You can always exercise with modest dress on, do not be confused with body display trend - extra fitting or extra skin, guy or girl... in fact with more clothing you don't reveal sweats to others while able to produce more sweat, you can also exercise well without mingle the opposite sex. There are tons of home workout that if you're well-disciplined, works better than gym, just that some people prefers gym or classes to get guides and supports… so do I. Most importantly do not disregard spiritual health, your relationship with Allah only because physical health appears to be well cared through exercising. Exercises have been going well even without music, or very minimal music. Now we have answers to how to stop the pattern of Islamic sheikhs-looking men at the masjid gaining extra size extra belly passing their 40s. Exercising, especially in our modern jahiliah times often related only to people wanting to look good and youthful intend to commit sins; maksiat or going unlawful places.... How can we oversee the fact that running a modest, righteous way of life does require a well-presented positive body image (?). Exercise impacts not just physical fitness, but mind and emotional health too. I managed to handle depression much more unlike those days with no exercising, but of course with developing close relationship with Allah as priority. Do not disregard all the deeds that brings you closer to Allah, Solaah,Quran, Dzikr, being good and helpful to others and environment... without them, there's no content. The most natural physical exercises are still, daily chores, for male and female, indoor or outdoor chores (heavier chores for the male suits their body settings). Something everyone of all classes can afford all time that could gain you fitness while getting something cleaned up, get in order, make more greens, make yourself productive and make your living a better place.

Of all the motivations I've watched about workouts, this is the only video that motivated me to work out and will motivate me forever!

You reach a point where you get a bit tired of it but after many years of gym you get used to it and it just feels like a hobby.

therorectically, working out means lifting weights/boxing/mma/strength training/bodybuilding and or powerlifiting any form of cardio would not really be considered workout rather a form of conditioning both are great but doing any form of lifting is much more effective both physically and mentally

Bro salat is salat it is actually not workout even though i feel you. because ife we consider it workout i would also like to add that
      ...
I alao feel like salat is also same as yoga.Cause i noticed how i pray slowly and breath in deeply to be able to go for rukuh and up but still salat should be considered as a communication with Allah first...Workout could could be a secondary small reasin

Ur right according to u only work out is just temporary but salat keeps body fit every time....suppose we dont do work out daily our body fitness declines slowly but by salat its reverse condition... we offer salat 5 times so our responses good keeps us fit more than a work out....i hope u understand thank you.

I think that hadith refers to the strength of ones faith, Allah knows best. Sahih Muslim 2664, is it by the way. The Sahaba (RA) were soldiers, so they had to stay in shape. And *men* are supposed to be strong, and not pansies.

By watching this video, I hope I will become the better version of myself in the near future. I remember once I was a fit person, I pray regularly, I put words into actions. But in time being, I got distracted into social media's like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. That has strayed my ideals and my instincts, which hampered me in every worst ways. I don't know how I got myself into, but I really need to get over it. And no; money, friends, electronic devices will never help me and not at all. The most important thing is to "push myself beyond", remembering what I am, what my goal and relentlessly work for it strategically. It will be very hard for me now, but not impossible. And I have to do it. With the person I am, I am just worst of a person who doesn't deserve to be a better person, a better human and a better Muslim.
I typed a lot here. But, I just pray to Allah, from the bottom of my heart; I can push myself beyond and bring out the best in me which is sleeping for around a year or two.
Thank you very much for uploading this video. I hope this kinds of strong messages will change a lot of people's lives and make them a better person.
    Peace be upon you.

Alhamdulillah, im so delighted to have seen this video. For the past few days i've been jump roping and i discoverd that learning new tricks in it was one of the way if made me confident that I could unlock anything on my life . All the things we want ourselves to be , well, exercising regularly helped achieve those. No matter what kind of exersice , it has the same result. Jumping, running, cardio, all of it..
