I can't stop watching this. To me watching about this era is kinda satisfying.
Chelsea Reifsnider yeah ikr

Same with me.
Same here
Ikr
Next time someone asks you if the youngest one is Judy, you say,"YES SIR".
I love this! The Gumm Sisters performing together! The adorable, very pretty and extremely talented Judy Garland at 7 should have made more movies with her with her two older talented sisters. Such Poise and Professionalism! Judy Garland was brilliant talent who could hold her own performing by herself or with anyone at a very young age! These were very happy times for Judy Garland and her two older sisters! This is pure classic movie magic!
Her beloved father was still around, that is why.
Yes Tony you are correct her father had a positive impact on her life😊
Back when the ww2 veterans were just kids
Even at the tender age of 7, her star sparkled.
Wow. Even then, clearly different than everyone around her. Absolutely my vote by a long shot for "Greatest Of All Time" Entertainer, hands down.
And She still IS! That is undeniable unless one is biased toward another artist. She not only eclipsed her contemporaries, she is STILL eclipsing everybody.
Judy said on Carson that her childhood vaudeville acts were terrible so it’s nice to see she wasn’t being modest. She was so cute tho. Her oldest sister was a stunner.
I like this act. A lot better than what's out there today.
The dancing is quite good.
wasn’t being modest???.......she WAS being modest....those vaudeville acts by the Gumm sisters were great.....
I just wish I could understand what they’re saying
Sad that the oldest sister died in a similar way to Judy... at age 48 from an overdose.
Judy Garland at age 7 is adorable performing with her pretty two older sisters!
Judy's dancing is great even then...
Judy will always be my favorite actress. I loved Lady Gaga's (one of my favorite artists) version of A Star is Born but Judy's will have a special place in my heart. She was unlike no other! Listen to "I Don't Care" and "Get Happy" JUDY'S 2 BEST SONGS!!
she was amzing
YES SIR! Even then, Judy was great.
Outstanding Musical Movie Short with Judy Garland!
Nasceu para ser a maior cantora do mundo!!! “JUDY GARLAND “
Really cute
funny, amazing and a piece of history thanx
She had the volume!
WoW! Joyful this is available. Amazing,!
Ten years before The Wizard Of Oz
Judy was 16 in the wizard of oz so she must have been 6 in this clip. She was so cute and talented.
@@pamelasue8396 I think she was seven, what an adorable little girl
Don't fly away, come along quick,
South where the breezes blow.
Leave this storm land,
Come away to a warm land.
Pack up, fly away, learn an old trick
All of the wise guys know.
Headin' to the south you can't miss it,
Let me be explicit.
When you see blue skies and fields of white
And the sun is shinin' bright,
Yes, sir! That's the good old sunny south.
When you hear that same old robin sing
That you heard up north in spring,
Yes, sir! That's the good old sunny south.

Thank you
Thank you for posting the lyrics that was very sweet of you!☺️
WHAT
What do they say at 1:15
Where your heart wants to play and your feet want to dance
Where the close of each day
Brings a Níger of romance.
Where you meet those gals that sweetly drawl, might glad to meet you all
Yes sir thats the good Old sunny south
(Instrumental)
Where you meet those gals that sweetly drawl, might glad to meet you all yes sir thats the good Old sunny south
:)
FANTÁSTICAS LAS 3 HERMANAS. ❤JUDY UN SOL.
The cameraman got the dancing feet in if I watch it full screw. You’ll see all
the movement and dance better. Great and fun!
There’s another clip of this where the feet ARE visible. However, the audio isn’t synced.
Their feet are visible. Perhaps it's clipped in your browser or whatever device you're watching it on. But here the feet are clearly visible at the bottom of the screen. The red UA-cam timeline covers the lower part, but if you move your mouse away from it and let it disappear you'll see the entire image.
Not much going on there to indicate the astounding talent shortly to burst forth. First time I saw this clip was in the 60 Minutes expose on Garland in, oh, about 1974, I think. "Yessah!"
Judy was only 7 here.
I wouldn’t say that. She already has more stage presence than her sisters here, and more vocal projection with her “Yes, Sir!”
Suska. For great funding of great art. Always. Thank you, Judy Garland, you are an inspiration! :) Love, - The Hib.
Meglin Kiddies produced superstars at such a young age and they all had so much personality! The most famous being Shirley Temple and Judy Garland. Love this era and time period, life looked so sweet back then
This was a few months before the great depression. Life was not so sweet
I wish someone would do a book on the meglin kiddies.
Yassir!! Such a neat clip.
OMG she is Soo adorable!❤😊
Rip 😭😭😭😭
*YESAHH*
Such an interesting period.
Wow!
to think i only came here cuz i was looking up old movies on IMDB 😂😂😂😂
Judy’s oldest sister Suzy is a very good dancer. Only 14 years old here.
Nobody:
Not even a ant :
Not even the universe:
Judy garland: WAYHOOOW
If she was still alive she will be happy for having her performances surviving
Oh my gosh I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out what she was yelling in the song, I thought she was saying “and how”☺️
@@Bunny00694 she said yes sir I think
I think she was saying "YES SIR!" not "WAY HOW!", at least, from what I'm hearing. XD
she said yes sir LOL
Omg the wayoooh for me
I wish the sound was better.
This is an early sound picture. Though experimental sound films were being made throughout the 1920's, by 1929 some filmmakers still hadn't figured out how to use the microphone. Notice when they turn at 1:25 that for a moment you can't hear their voices?
"The Gumm Sisters, not The Wrigley Sisters!" LOL!
Little Judy had no idea what was coming for her 6 years later!
YAAAAA HOOOO!
I wish someone would do a joint book examining all their lives and their relationship as sisters
Judy es la más pequeña.
Lovely girls
The girl who was introducing Judy and her sisters reminds me of Mary Ann from the Little Rascals!
Yeah Hoo
Was judy the small one?😞
Yeah
Yeah that was judy she was 7
cute
Song is "That's The Good Old Sunny South "
Ethel 😭💔💔💔💔
Idk but I thought Judy said WAH WAH
So amazing for the historic value. But really, I guess anything passed for entertainment back then. This would be panned today on Tiktok for them being totally out of step. Still love Judy though.
Charming ... if a trifle spooky.
Cant understand a word shes sayin
But she sure is talented:)
Totally agree!
The lyrics are so hard to understand that I thought they were singing “good old Funky Town!”
Babe Ruth ruled the world back then
1920s recordings are kinda creppy
Her sisters were pretty good
As a performance group, what’s displayed here is The Gumm Sisters as no more than mediocre talents. If they had stayed together, it would have been a waste of Judy’s phenomenal performance gifts. She was clearly the talented one.
Which one is Judy?
The littlest one on the left.
The yougest
Is Frances the one who appears alone at the very beginning?
She's the littlest one! :)
no....she's the smallest one who enters stage left....
The one who appears first was Judy's sister Jimmie. Jimmie's full name was Dorothy Virginia Gumm.
Their voice quality..
What long skinny legs they had!!
Pardons?
@@oscarcasarrubias9416 What?
And Judy kept her skinny legs all of her life!
Nothing special. Good training for the future
