Judy is such a pretty girl as well as having an incredible voice. Can't understand why MGM had a problem with her looks.

He was 19 in this and would go on to have 8 wives starting with a one year marriage to Ava Gardner that only lasted a year. Look her up and then you have a head scratcher lol. He had to be really funny off camera too.

+supernuke Funny story, I started playing this song in the mornings for my 3 y.o. with autism when he started going to preschool and he totally loves the song, it's so catchy! Two months into school, his teacher was absent on a Monday and all the screamers went off and messed up his whole week and in the mornings after he would say "mom, no school." This week, I started playing this song again and somewhere over the rainbow to wake him up in good spirits and his teacher just text me saying he's back to his old self :-) Thank God for Judy Garland! I just found out Mickey Rooney died, he lived a long time!! I was totally going to make a video letting him know my kid loves him but I didn't make it in time :-(

    Good mornin', good mornin'
We've danced the whole night through
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
    Good mornin', good mornin'
It's great to stay up late
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
When the band began to play
    The stars was shinin' bright
Now, the milkman's on his way
It's too late to say goodnight
    So, good mornin', good mornin'
    Sunbeams will soon smile through
Good mornin', my darlin', to you
    Here we are together
    A couple of stand-uppers
Our day is done, breakfast time
    Starts with our supper
    Here we are together
Ah, but the best of friends must party
So, let me sing this party song
From the bottom of my hearty
Good mornin', it's a lovely mornin'
Good mornin', what a wonderful day
We danced the whole night through
Good mornin', good mornin' to you, how do you do?
I said, "Good mornin', see the sun is shinin'"
Good mornin', hear the birdies sing
It's great to stay up late
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
When the band began to play
    The stars were shinin' bright
Now, the milkman's on his way
It's too late to say goodnight
    Good mornin', good mornin'
    Sunbeams will soon smile through
    Good mornin', good mornin'
Good mornin', my darlin', to you

Mickey Rooney had a great younger life more than anyone could hope for; he starred in or had worked in supporting roles for more than 200 hundred films. As he got older in life he was less happy apparently, as he had eight wives during long life(he passed away today at the age of 93 years)However he had nine children and many grandchildren, added to his very prolific career. No one will ever forget his co-starring roles with the great singer of her day and beyond Ms. Judy Garland, or when he starred in the Hardy Boy movies. Mickey was an American icon much like Shirley Temple was in her movie career. When we thought of Mickey's movies we inevitably thought of Judy Garland too as they were together a very long time.Mickey sold war bonds during the Second World War with Germany and Japan. May you Rest In Peace for Eternity, Mickey. Mickey you were and are loved by millions in America and by millions around the world as well. See you in Heaven, my friend. Hope you and Judy will sing the song "Good Mornin" to those who remember you when your careers were just beginning to blossom in the late 1930's and early 1940's.

Mickey Rooney was ancient at 92 years old RIP. Judy was only 46 so her death was more tragic, so much younger!

Yes, and Mickey was devastated over Judy’s death. She was the sister he never had. Loved them together.

Every song in the movie came from musicals from 1929 to 1939, except for two original songs and one 1930's song that didn't come from a musical.

Every generation of teens think they are the wildest ever. Teens are teens. By the time this was made Judy already was an addict, alcoholic smoker who was on a fast track to self destruction.

Teens are always teens. Don’t believe that morality stuff. Many knew nothing about pregnancy and they had no access to birth control, so the poor girls got pregnant. They got sent away by embarrassed families and forced to give up the baby for adoption. They lived the rest of their lives as if their baby had been kidnapped and they weren’t allowed to tell anyone. The traumas were hell on earth. You wouldn’t want to trade.

    Good mornin'
Good mornin', we've talked the whole night through
    Good mornin'
    Good mornin' to you
    Good mornin', good mornin'
It's great to stay up late
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
When the band began to play, the stars were shinin' bright
Now the milkman's on his way, it's too late to say goodnight
So, good mornin', good mornin', sunbeams will soon smile through
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
And you, and you, and you
    Good mornin', good mornin'
We've gabbed the whole night through
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
Nothin' could be grander than to be in Louisiana
In the morning, in the morning
It's great to stay up late
Good mornin', good mornin' to you
It might be just a zippy if we was in Mississippi
When we left the movie show the future wasn't bright
But pain is gone, the show goes on
And I don't wanna say goodnight
    So say, "good mornin'!"
    Good mornin'
    Rainbow is shining through
    Good mornin' (Good mornin')
    Bon jour (Bon jour)
    Buenos dias (Buenos dias)
    Buon giorno (Buon giorno)
    Guten morgen (Guten morgen)
    Good morning to you
