yeah what the fuck happen to Wiz over the years. why the hell does he sound so bland and generic when he came out with music like this back in the day??? i don't understand it.
I usually DESPISE Wiz Khalifa, Black and Yellow made me feel sad that I live in Pittsburgh. When I clicked on this video, my mouse was literally hovering over the dislike button; I thought Wiz was going to shame me by saying that his music was native to the city I live in. This came as an enormous surprise. I don't think it's worth paying a small fee to download and bump on my MP3 player, but it gives me a whole different perspective of this guy.
What an absolute classic this is! Brings back so many memories, and sounds even better today than it did back then. Takes be back to a sunny blue skied afternoon in Pittsburgh, in cold october / november. Makes me smile every time I hear it!
@@412StepUp Lol Larimer and Homewood say hello. Every city has its bad areas, why don’t you go to Hampen, Federal Hill, Butchers Hill, Little Italy, Canton. All beautiful neighborhoods in Bmore. Pittsburgh is a great city lol, I was just playing to our AFC Morth rivalry
I remembering DJing at The Pittsburgh Hip Hop Awards when he performed this track as a unsigned 18 year old. I knew then he would blow up. The track is super hot and it represented our city to the fullest. Wiz won like 5 awards that night and was riding high! Big up to Wiz, We goin always hold Pittsburgh Down. Homewood stand up!
This jam is 🔥🔥🔥. Wiz Khalifa went all in on this one. It's a timeless classic in my opinion. He was 19 when he dropped this which makes it even more amazing. Even though his style gradually changed, he has made such a name for himself. The album itself is dope. The year 2006 brought forth some really great rap albums that ain't moving an inch from my music library.
This was a really dope track..damn, You know whether people keep saying Wiz changed & all that bull shit...everyone changes. the direction you choose grows you in some way to something totally different. I mean who still acts the same way they did when they were in high school? And one thing I really like about Wiz, is the fact that he followed his dreams & his heart. he always knew what he wanted & where he wanted to be...Nigga worked really hard & still doesn't give a shit..you got my respect bro...
@AnxiousChadTTV haha yea he is part of an evil soul its funny now i also make music too - but we have to pick a discipline and channel our energy otherwise the world with pick it for you...its funny 7 years later man...the earth is much smaller now...so dude started doing shows in germany back then?
Still love this song and video. I grew up in the 412 and Wiz reps us well. We're tough, resilient and always ready to yinz your head off or tell you where the good eats are. I still live in Pittsburgh and will never ever leave. I'm proud to be from here and have two ancestors who worked the mills in Pittsburgh and my dad and I maintain them as engineers. Steel and pride it's all in our blood. Don't mess with that! Eat it Cleveland!
First track i ever heard of Wiz, back inna de days, and its still one of my favs. THIS is the real Wiz, but we all gutta understand that money and fame changes most ppl and sadly it happened to him... But yeah, we can always come back and listen to his classics! - A-Kay
Youngin on his grind isn't a bad track I remember when this mixtape was released, I'm from the 'Burgh and man when this dropped, you couldn't go anywhere without hearing it
I wish Wiz Khalifa was still like this he was so ill round 2003-2006. He used to be original, he had a sick flow, crazy punchlines and wordplay, he was a lyricist and really represented Hip Hop. He use to be the voice of the streets. He used to be like a 90s artist, it's a shame he sold out in 2007 and got worse ever since. It's funny what people do for money he let the record labels pimp him out quik!
Happy birthday wiz this is always one of my favorite songs man if you haven’t listen to show & prove it’s definitely a time that cam was out to take over TGOD.
i knew wiz since this song but i have hear prince of the city, flight school, kush&oj mixtapes etc. Not the chance to discover him before but now with his songs before chill everyday! thanks wiz. TGOD from France
Talk about a timeless classic. I remember going on L rides for hourssssssss bumpin this out before Cam became super famous. Shit happens so fast these days guys. Don't ever give up on your dreams no matter who the fuck you are. If somebody tells you cant. You tell them Fuck You, Watch Me, #WorkHardPlayHard
if he just release one of his old school album like show and prouve in 2010-2013 that will be incredible! the old one is definitely missing us but its tgod
+Jeremy Martin When being G was his aim. Cuz rap was like that! You needed respect, there were no well known artists before wiz who were so heavily weed based. He changed the game.
AddyBangClip Dude, just because you love all songs doesn't make you a "real fan", some people don't like it when artists experiment, it just happens, they are still "real fans" but they have preferences. I like one or two songs off his new album but tbh it is pretty generic and pop(ish) compared to his older stuff. But again, that's my opinion.
+LinearStoner It was just another style of rapping back then, Deep voices get all the bitches, He could probably go back to rapping like this if he really wanted too.
+LinearStoner Idk man, one of the "effects" of smoking marijuana is getting a higher pitched voice. Believe that or not (i dont, ive just heard it a lot)
I watch this video and it inspires me. This man honestly had a dream from the start. So appreciate what this man did. Much respect from ATL#Wiz my favorite rapper
Its been about 10 months since ive found out about wiz .. the first song I heard from him was black and yellow and i was like ok this is alright then i heard this song and im like holy shit his lyrics come mad hard, and I can feel his passion through his rhymes.. afterwards I couldnt find this song til today and im soo happy i found it ! .
Of course he's changed since then. Everyone from Pittsburgh needs to swallow their pride and stop acting like if they'd earned millions of dollars they would still live in hazelwood and send their kids to dice. Don't be ridiculous. "All he raps about now is weed." Sounds a lot like what Snoop Dogg does and yet he's a legend, right?Get over yourselves.
one of his best songs before he went mainstream, been rocking wiz ever since this came out
12 years later, still as fire as the first time listening to it.
LOL ITS CRAZY HOW SOME PEOPLE DONT KNOW WIZ USED TO BE A SPITTER
young city hell yeaaaaaa and this song is now 10 years old and the old version of all rappers are the best version. when they was hungry 💯......out✌

young city right. show and prove, oweee
Key words "used to be"
I'm sick of trying to tell them on his new trash mumble rap songs.
Back when he was on the grind his shit sounded smooth af
I'll never understand how absolutely dope Wiz Khalifa was on "Show & Prove" & how he continuously deteriorates further on each successive LP
yeah what the fuck happen to Wiz over the years. why the hell does he sound so bland and generic when he came out with music like this back in the day??? i don't understand it.
