I really like how much love you have for CT. Always makes me smile when your vids pop up in my feed. I too have had an undying love for this game over the years. It fades in and out, but the music always brings me back.

I'm so worried about the remake. If they change the music like they did to Secret of Mana it would be heart breaking... Sure wish they'd leave well enough alone when they remake these games and stay true to the original work.@@KaraComparetto

I am going to miss having a new release to look forward to every Monday. It was the highlight of many a Monday... Congratulations on completing the individual releases Kara, I look forward to seeing the entire completed project in September!
I'm gonna miss it too! Thankfully starting in October I'll be releasing a bunch of Donkey Kong videos, one a week for about 7-8 weeks, so it won't end too abruptly! And I have a lot more in store for the future :)

Oof, this hurts my heart in the absolute best way. Chrono Trigger is such a huge part of my childhood. I have been waiting for any news of a remake, but I can't wait anymore! I am going to start playing through it again with my kids.

I recently got your Chrono Trigger played by Kara-Comparetto digital album and found It to be a great help in order to today(oktober 7th) complete some important excel exercises.
What made things wors was that my brain completely shut down in excel class last Thursday (oktober 5h) and got that horrible feeling that I would be badly after in my studies, thankfully sitting in bed with my laptop and your lovely musical talent helped me to realize that I was good and I just needed to relax and logically think about how I would solve these excercises.
Also thanks for the option to have access to apple lossless files, its really nice!

I finally had the chance to listen this song properly and it makes me think of the nostalgic of a graduation ceremony…which could easily replace the March of Aida (pretty common here in México) and “Adios Muchachos” (goodbye fellas) by Carlos Gardel which is a farewell from his cabaret party comrades 😂.

I prefer the calm organ over the game's strings sounds.
A local organist showed me that on some consoles, by partially pulling stops (to detune some of them) you can hear "beats" (pulses) to produce a strings sound.
oh that's interesting! There's a stop called "voix" (voice) on many organs, and I wonder if this stop is similar to that, because it can sound almost out of tune when paired with other stops, so you have to be careful how you use it. I only used it on a select few tracks, maybe like undersea palace and corridors of time
@@KaraComparetto Ah! So there is, although I'm in the minority who have scarcely heard this stop. Certainly when adding 8/4/2/1 harmonics unsynchronized beats (like drum beats; for example A438+A442 would be 4 beats/second) would sound dissonant.

Beware of the forest mushrooms from super mario rpg.
It has a secondary melody going on by the strings and a horn which is hard to fit into a normal piano arrangement. Im curious to hear if you think this secondary melody is playable and fitting for feet while you play the main melody and bassline by hand like every other performance of this piece here on youtube.

Kara this pieces have some baroque texture in it. Why don't used the harpsichord to instead of the piano. The Organ and Harpsichord will go well on this without the Piano.
It wouldn't sound bad, but these arrangements aim to keep the spirit and feel of the original compositions. There wasn't a harpsicord in the original and would change the mood of the song too much I feel.
No organ in the original either, but it is a good substitute for strings and feels natural for the arrangement.

Marle's theme ?
Looks very dorky in the costum but it tempts memories from childhood. Nicely trained. I wish I'd continued learning when I was a child. Memories of peace filled happiness and forgotten farwells. I'd love to hear you do Prelude from FFVI. Those are my favorite memories. ❤
This was perfect until I realized I didn't have a Nu plushie to hold while listening to this song and now I feel incomplete. It's sitting there saying 'She has one and you don't'.
One of my favorite CT songs is Ayla's Theme. Tried googling 'kara comparetto ayla' and I got an impossibly attractive cutie in Ayla suit but couldn't find the song :( I guess it's just a simple loop but it's fun.
Ayla and Sabin are crucial Square characters because one suplexes a boulder and the other suplexes a train. Or something. (Also your song on phantom train is 10/10)
the only reason Ayla couldn't supplex a train is that there are no trains in Chrono Trigger.
(or perhaps it's a time paradox and Ayla is the reason why there are no trains anymore)
