65 mmhg strength of compression stockings is what makes that test question in the first one wrong. Minimal is less than 15 for asymptomatic individuals 15-20 for mild, 20-30 for moderate 30-40 for firm, and anything over 40 is extra firm. 30-40 is best for severe chronic venous disease while anything over 50-60 is reserved for chronic lymphedema. I have been listening to your videos for 3 days now in preparation for the ANCC soon and I love how you keep it real, especially with your anecdotes. Thank you for posting these videos. I am finding them very helpful! I have been a nurse for 25 years, 5 years as a hospitalist FNP.
It is a little slow going but I think you are spot on about knowing just a little bit more about whatever terminology is used, whether in the question or the answers. Until I slowed down and started looking up the terms I didn't know, I was not improving on my practice questions. Great job!
Could you make a new video with the 2020 ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner Exam Sample Questions that are currently up? Understanding the rationales would be a lot of help.
The question says "documents which ABNORMAL finding", so yes, they are asking for which exam finding is abnormal. I believe I saw another test question from a different stack asking what was abnormal on a teenage male GU exam as well. Read the question carefully, don't whiz through it and miss an important clue to the answer.
Since you already have your FNP, what did you have to do to get your Acute NP privileges? Thank you for your honesty in regards to practicing as an FNP in acute care. I’ve been a nurse for 21 years and just decided to get my FNP (post masters) after receiving my DNP. Living in area where I can practice in 2 different states (MD & DC) with different practice authority I can see myself doing the same. Thank you for this video and I will definitely continue to review your videos!
Every state has different statutes when it comes to acute care NPs. Consult the board of nursing about this issue to make sure you are covered and not practicing beyond your scope.

Correct. Trying to do a review when you don't understand the rationales yourself is concerning.

Hello - whenever we see "the NP documents which finding", is this always referring to abnormal findings?

@@JohnPamperin the question in this video did not ask for abnormal. You should have read the question. 🙄

I had to get my post graduate classes done as well as 600 hours of clinicals. Took about 20 months all together.
