I just got a first hybrid ball i love it. First time throwing i shot 224.
What did you shoot before?
Love my widow 2.0 hybrid. Completely smoothed out my game after I hit it up with 4000.
Thanks JR for a valuable information re: different coverstocks and their role down the lane.
This is the video I needed today. Awesome as always.
Excellent explanation of coverstocks, however, he failed to explain urethane coverstocks and how it rolls and affects lane conditions.
Great education video.. would you be able to recommend a good ball duo for league? Thanks for your advice in advance
id like to see you do a video of your 3 halo's with the same layout all with the same surface. maybe 3000 pad, then what the difference is with them all polished. see how much of a difference. some people think there's no difference in cover type
Wanna do a "urethane showcase" u throw the urethanes on different patterns and urethanes from different brands (motiv, storm, hammer)?
Haha he said "jerk off," at 4:35. Sorry I had to bring out my inner 12 year old. But great video like always. I'm an avid bowler and still get great benefits out of your videos.
Not a fan of the IQ pearl have one since the day it came out with less than 3 games. I would go to a pink hammer widow or the idol pearl that’s my go to balls after my solid don’t work.
Why not throw the IQ tour solid then?
Great video...Explained very well
My Helios just doesn’t move as much as I need. Can you recommend a ball a bit stronger with continuation through the pins?
I am just getting into bowling my best game is a 189 I typically bowl 17 to 18 mph do you have any recommendations for a first ball
So is it ok to put surface on a pearl cover? If u do this and want to go back, can I just put polish on it?
can you use a pearl, like the altered reality at the beginning of tournament or league play?
What do you do if your pearl and hybrids are hooking to much? Is that a urethane situation
What do you think about the storm night
Best kind of bowling balls for a full roller
JR, question, sometimes I get a little confused when the term "CLEAN" is used when talking about bowling balls, can you help me out a little on this? Thanks and always a great job!
Clean meaning the ball makes it through the first 25ft or the lane without trying to hook or curve. If it hooks or sees friction early it's not very clean
Thanks
I have a Rotogrip hyper cell skid, I'm looking for a hybrid ball, You recommend me the halo vision? this halo vision what can do? control ball ? agressive
I really like the entire halo series. I however prefer the widow series from hammer. The problem with saying "what a ball can do," is it varies greatly from bowler to bowler. From how you drill it to ball speed and rev rate, there are so many factors. The biggest factor is PREFERENCE of a certain core/cover stock.. I like the singularity and drive through the pins that I get from hammer black and gold, when it comes to hybrid balls. However, i prefer the reaction of the halo pearl over every other pearl on the market
Hammer raw hybrid I just bought and it's a really good ball at least for me it sits in the middle part and finishes in the pocket and if you want to get it out it flies back to the pocket I highly recommend it
@@louwebb8253 I got a raw hammer hybrid but I don't see too much hook in my throw. Is it possible I'm just throwing the ball too fast? I usually throw at about 18mph
@@Skarlatoz did you get it drilled pin up or pin down? And I'd keep your speed at 18 if anything try rolling the ball earlier on the lane
@@louwebb8253 the pin is up. But im not sure if that makes a big difference or not. i think im just doing something wrong when i throw. And wdym by throw it earlier?
Does anyone know which coverstocks hooks the most?
Solid Coverstocks, but there is a lot more than just the coverstock that goes into it.
It depends, pearls hook more off friction and are more angular, solid hook more overall because they dig into the oil and hook early
looking for a medium hook ball that has a cover that is very like, grippable because I am two handed and I have trouble gripping balls that pick up oil quickly
Hustle ink sounds like what you need
If you want it to jump hard get the pearl version
@@Vitam1nsoulbeats lol I was actually going to get that for Christmas before that exact same ball the hustle au. Thanks for the info
Hammer raw hybrid
Every kind
What would be the difference between dull and shiny hybrids and when to use them?

Hi! I love your bowling videos, and I would love to do some one day. I'm on the highschool bowling team, but I don't have any money to get new equipment. It would change my bowling career forever if you bought me a bowling ball. I know they are not cheap, so I will be incredibly grateful. Thank you! -Connor
CJ PeeJay hey man, hope high school is treating you well. Stop asking for charity and get a job, don’t see why his hard work should be rubbed off for free
I'm with that other guy. I grew up in low income housing without ANY money. I had to get a job at 15 in order to have food on the table. Point being... don't ask for charity. If I had to work in order to eat, you can work for a bowling ball. Also, you can bowl low to mid 200's with a solid ball and a house plastic ball. I know because I did it for years. Work work work. Whether it's getting a job and WORKING in order to buy a ball or it's WORKING on your approach, swing, tempo, timing releases in order to get better scores with what you have.
One word for you JR: Micropores.
