real great video there ! on my mind there is one thing i am doing different, its my swd macro on priest, i got one to use for execute/damage (im sp) and one for break cc with cancelaura shield in it. With your macro u cant break cc whie u shielded cuz u obv dont take dmg

You are right it's subjective and I improved so much when I started using something similar. For example I have hex, Sheep, incap etc on mouse 7: Shift 7 arena 1 Ctrl 7 arena 2 Alt 7 arena 3 Dispell on mouse 9: Shift 9 for party 1 crtl 9 party 2 Alt 9 Party 3. I even use the heals like this and it helps with muscle memory knowing that shift = arena 1 or party 1, crtl Arena 2 or party 2 etc...
@@axlrozes1777 I actually rebinded target nearest enemy to CTRL+TAB for a couple of days to force me to use 123 keybinds for arena 1, 2 and 3. Sucked for totems and pets but now targeting enemies comes naturally. Also, and I can't emphasise this enough, record your games and watch them this alone will help you identify things you struggle at and correct them. Solo queue is amazing for training the basics at a fast pace.

I use alt mb1, alt mb 2, alt scroll up. Which takes away some slots for my 1,2,3 macros but its what i was used to on druid a long time ago so i kept it and worked around it. Im glad the video helped!
Hmm interesting. I really would love something like this for BG players. I burned out on the 1,2,3 arena play long ago. For Bgs I run everything mouseover and target of target.
I can do the highest rated rbgs with my setup so its definitely usable. I just dont press the 123 stuff. I use focus macros and just click raid frames to heal people.
hey, about your alt mouse button 1-3 binds for forms. You mean your MMO mouse 1-2-3 buttons, or 2 separate additional buttons ? (MBUTTON5/MBUTTON4) cause mbutton 1 and 2 is left and right click, a bit confused.
If your keyboard has a number keypad, you can configure those as a separate 1-9, with =, -, and / as the keybinds. This frees up function1-4 which are quite reachable for most hands on most keyboards (useful for rarer pressed abilities)
@@treydancer3966 you aren’t using the numpad on the keyboard, you are configuring the mouse keybinds to register as if you did. This allows you to use the normal numbers along the top of the keyboard as you would without a gaming mouse(I stop at 6 along the top because I feel like reaching more than that for me doesn’t help)
I realize that this is not exactly a new video however still very relavant. So let's say I have slow on mouse 1 2 3 and stun on shift 1 2 3 - where do you then put the base version? To just slow or stun current target? My idea was to do mouse 1 stun and then shift 1 control 1 and alt 1 for arena 1 2 3. However my brain has a real hard time going 4 different targets pr button
@@jacobxtv2917 it's just my brain really needs to work overdrive if normal stun is on R and then arena 1 2 and 3 are ok some mouse buttons. It sorta fragments the skill into too many places and it's hard for me to justify to spend all mouse buttons to only be usable while inside arena

I know this video is a bit old but I was wondering why would you use focus macros if you set up arena 1-2-3? At around 23:20 you go about focus settting etc... Why would you focus if you got arena 1-2-3 bound for every interrupt you have etc.. I'm a shaman healer playing wotlk and trying to get better at this. So far I have only used focus macros. So I would have a macro that says "press this for shear" and "press shift for focus shear" on all my abilites. Another question: why wouldn't you use shift / ctrl for your teamates, instead of targeting them then pressing a heal. Like for example why doing 1- riptide, 2 - lesserhealingwave. Instead of doing for example a macro that says "press this for healing wave" and "press shift for healing wave on party1" and "press ctrl for healing wave on party2". This way you don't have to manually target your partners to cast a heal on them. Was wondering these 2 questions :)
U really dont need focus macros for arena if u have 123 for utility on enemies.... It is nice for if u go into rbgs or 5v5 to have focus macros tho for obvious reasons. U can set a healer to focus in these settings for kicks or cc for example.... question 2 - I find it extremely easy and comfortable to just switch targets with binds.... why would u add a modifier to every single heal / dispel u have which would take up way more bind slots.... for ex. my riptide would be naga 1. my shift 1 is hex 1. my ctrl 1 is shear 1. If i had modifiers for riptide to heal each teammate then i wouldnt have shit 1 and ctrl 1 for other binds.... now multiply this to every single heal / dispel and u are suddenly down tons of binds. as opposed to just setting your teammates to 1,2,3 for example and then healing with one bind. People constantly try to get out of binding their teammates and I get comments like this all the time for some reason.
@@jacobxtv2917 I suppose it makes sense if you are a healer. I'm playing elemental right now so it made sense to save some keybinds to do that cause all my teamates covered in one macro. I will start slowly by using windshear 1,2,3 with shift G18,19,20 (thumb on my G600) and Hex 1,2,3 with ctrl G18,19,20 as well as G18,19,20 without modifiers being target arena 1,2,3. If I modify everything else I'm gonna suck too much :D
I do like the guide, however what is always difficult for me is that any guide on keybindings, controls and macros is made with only one part of content in WoW in mind. I do pvp at around 2k rating and m+ at 2.7k rating (S4)... I go from high level keys to arenas sometimes within the same session. Therefore, I am still looking to find a keybinding system that works for both types of content across all my characters as it is better to build up general muscle memory without having to adjust greatly between different types of content. I do work with a 12 button mouse and I main druid and shaman, so lots of buttons. Any tips on a general comprehensive system (if it is at all possible) would be greatly appreciated.
I mean it just depends what all u use for m+ that you dont have with the PvP bind setup... I would personally make sure u have all the pvp stuff setup and then add in whatever pve things u need and are missing afterwards. I dont do keys but i have done mythic raiding and didnt have to swap a single bind to be able to complete the content so I'm really not sure.
I know this is a year after the fact, but I'm just coming back to PvP after not really doing it since MoP (and not playing since 10.0), but I was thinking of this very thing. While I used Vuhdoo in the past to heal/cleans/utility my party/raid in M+/Raids, and just click/tab targeted enemies, things fall apart in Arena when I do that. So for offensive utility (like Purge, Paralysis, HoJ, etc.), instead of spreading them across three MMO Mouse Keys like Jacob in the video, I am trying to put them all on one button with modifiers using the "exists" condition with arena1/arena2/arena3, and if those targets don't exist, it'll just cast on the target. So that way I can use the same key bind in BGs, M+ or Raids and it'll still work. I have no idea if the comments will allow me to add a macro, but something like this: #showtooltip /use [mod: alt, @arena3, exists, nodead][mod:shift, @arena2, exists, nodead][@arena1, exists, nodead][harm]Paralysis You can even be sneaky and add a [mod:shift, @focus, harm, exists, nodead] in there too afters the @arena2 condition in the above example, if you hit shift it'll do the following priority Arena 2 -> Focus -> Your Target. I'm not exactly sure how I'll do player, party1, party2 macros yet because you are in a party no matter what in Arena, BG, Raid or M+, so you can't use arena# + exists as a conditional, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Maybe using arena1 + noexist to check if we are out of the arena first, then the arena actions second would fly, I'll have to play with it, but logically that should work. So that way in a raid/BG/out in the world, a Monk would Detox their friendly target, but in an Arena it'd target Party 1 or Party 2 (with targeting self always just cleansing yourself). Something like this: #showtooltip /use [@arena1, noexists, help, @mouseover][@arena1, noexists, help] Purify /use [mod: alt, @party2, exists, nodead][mod:shift, @party1, exists, nodead][@player] Purify I haven't tested this, but outside Arena, it'll Mouseover a friendly would take priority, then a targeted friendly, then if you are targeting an enemy or nothing, it'll cast on yourself, but in arena it'd target yourself, party 1 or party 2 depending on no modifier, shift or alt. Apologies for the stream of consciousness, I have no idea if the would actually be helpful or not but I'm going to give it a try in 10.2 with BGs suddenly becoming important again. Edit: so after playing around, the helpful utility macro works with a bit of effort. So now, out of the arena if I'm targeting a friendly I will cast Cleanse/Purify/Detox/whatever, modding with ALT will always cast it on me, and if I'm in the arena it'll cast on Party1 and Party 2 with shift. I'm shocked it works so well too be honest The offensive utilities (HoJ, Paralysis, etc.) work fine. Outside the arena, alt does nothing, but I think that's fine. Now I just need to actually get some rating now 😉

I've watched this video over and over trying to figure out a system, and for the life of me I cannot. I use ASD for movement, as I am most comfortable with those movement keys. Then I try to use everything around it for all my abilities and use my mouse solely for targeting, and cc/interrupt macros. To me I find it very hard to find something and stick with. I primarily try to use Q,W,E,R,T,F,G,Z,X,C,V and sometimes B if necessary. QWERT are usually frequently pressed keybinds, and as a resto shaman, to bind EVERYTHING else I need on the other keybinds is really hard and stressful. Especially now that they've added a bunch of new talents and brought back old talents that are mandatory in a pvp scenario.
I’m trying to wrap my head around the synapse for the razor naga with the f-1 etc because I do use my razor 1-3 for other things but it just hasn’t resonated with me what you meant.
im not 100% sure what u mean either but basically I set my 1-10 on naga to the function keys so i can still press the regular numbers as more keybinds on my keyboard
I use wasd to move and I don't use mouse at all I use the number pad on the right hand side for my attacks stuns and combo finishers. I have purchased a naga mouse but I cabt get used to it what do I do

Coming from a PVE backlground where healers use Clique and or what over mouse over/mouse healing addon, do you feel like if I want to heal at my best in PVP I need to rethink my target/healing target party member keybinds? I feel like now in PVP I am so focused on making sure my mouse pointer is close to my healing frames that I am having a really hard time looking at the cds/drs/kicks of the enemy team.
Long shot as this video is pretty old but I am trying to force myself to use keybinds more, I play a BM hunter mainly and struggling on where to bind my traps I currently have them on F,G,h but it’s taking up Allot of space meaning I don’t know where to bind my counter shot, scatter, intim and chimaeral sting any advice would be great please
The only way to do it is to also disable totems because they are in the same setting. I happen to play with no totems or pets either bc its annoying lmfao. but yeah interface settings and disable minor i believe
i dont use focus macros to really do anything but i use set focus macros so i can see focuses which is really important. U want to be able to see castbars and buffs of a focus
utilize SHIFT Z, D, C, V also for easy macros if u run low on spots. At first i wasnt using shift z,c,d,v macros and realize how easy it is same finger of the WASD keys

You might be able to get away with it, but it seems annoying to me to have to do what you are doing to go forward. I would rather the freedom of being able to use my mouse if needed to click something while moving forward
Mouse buttons. Any of the binds u see starting with F are mousebuttons that are configured to the function keys. I only use 1,2,3 and shift 1,2,3 fon keyboard for target and focus target
Hey Jacob I know this video is 11 months old but I just have 1 question. How do these keybinds effect pve? Is it safe to have them for all content? And does the 1 2 3 targeting work for mobs to some extent or am I still clicking mobs? Sorry I’m a very new player to wow and pc mmorpg but I’m loving the game through and through.
yoooo. i personally have mythic raided with these binds but not mythic dungeoned or anything.... i personally can do any content with these, but other people talk about how they cant use similar binds to these and PVE so idk. maybe they just play differently. in regards to mobs and targetting. i just tab target or click
As a healer, I find it difficult to dedicate six hotkeys for targeting. I have 1-3 on keyboard for enemy targeting. Should I use scroll wheel up/down/mid for teammates? Or F keys?
I KNOW it’s inefficient, but I heal using MO macros and the clicked add on (auto targets for things like a quick shadow word death). Do you know any other top players who do this? The thought of re-learning everything seems so overwhelming and I imagine it would constitute a huge tank in rating before going back up.
Just re did all my keybinds, but one thing I am missing is, do you have for "hex" for example 4 keybinds in total 3 for arena 1,2,3 and then a 4th one for just normal on you target? or do you only roll with the arena 1,2,3 macros?

You should give it a whirl, move forward by clicking both mouse buttons turn by moving mouse and strafe with 2 mouse buttons that feel most comfortable. That way your entire left hand is free to make ability keybinds. It was a real game changer for me.

ok say i am using asd for movement and i use qwe for arena 123 party and zxc for arena enemy. i have a 12 button mouse if all my cc is on my first three buttons what am i casting abilities with other then cc? say im a hunter what am i setting aimed shot arcane shot rapid fire to? or do i need a arena 123 for all that as well? I dont macro my damage abilities to 1,2,3 on any of my DPS. I just target them and press the binds i have. Dont over complicate it bro. Whatever works for u.
Some of those macros u see on my screen are just mouseover totem macros so i dont have to click the ground or possibly stop casting macros so the ability will cancel my casts to go off
I'm a new player so I just have a question on the Arena enemy macros. How do you use your important CC abilities in battlegrounds, do these arena 1/2/3 macros work here or do I need to rebind this cc on extra buttons so I can cast them during battlegrounds?

you want to have forward movement and strafe..unbinding the default QWE removes those...if you want to use ASD for movement rebind S to forward, A to left strafe, and D to right strafe

Yooo! Thanks... and i think any keyboard is totally fine. I mostly recommend just playing a ton of games. Make sure your UI is clean and you have the proper addons. I dont have any specific videos to recommend but definitely watch a lot of streams.

Any specific reason to not use the numpad for Naga 1-12? Wow recognizes them as different binds and I can use the F keys with keyboard hand pretty easily
For teammates you use an addon called sort group to put yourself at the top or bottom and have teammates in ascending or descending order. Its really nice. For enemy you just have to see if they are 1,2, or 3 from top to bottom on gladius.

First very honest video. Since I am new to healing as holy priest, I understood that for arena 2v2 or 3v3 you use 1-2-3 keys to switch / select one of your team and heal. But if you are in BGs or 10v10 how do you choose your team according to the setup you have with keys 1-2. I hope I made them clear. Thanks for your very nice videos. I also put the addon - vudho but I can't do a proper heal (maybe of course I can't because of skill... 😎😎) or I haven't made the right settings.
@@ataraxic7 Sry for late response... If the pet you're trying to target belongs to party member 1 you just target them twice basically to make it target the pet and then press again to go back to the target.
I did this. But I use mods. shift control and alt for arena 1/2/3. So kick is r. Kicks my target. Shift+r is kick arena1 ctrl+r is kick arena2 and alt+r is kick arena3. But R is always kick.

I think they talked about that being added in Dragonflight (next xpac) for swapping specs and for swapping between PVE/PVP. Not rn tho to my knowledge

I use alt mb1, alt mb 2, alt scroll up. Which takes away some slots for my 1,2,3 macros but its what i was used to on druid a long time ago so i kept it and worked around it. Im glad the video helped!

Hmm interesting. I really would love something like this for BG players. I burned out on the 1,2,3 arena play long ago. For Bgs I run everything mouseover and target of target.
I can do the highest rated rbgs with my setup so its definitely usable. I just dont press the 123 stuff. I use focus macros and just click raid frames to heal people.
hey, about your alt mouse button 1-3 binds for forms. You mean your MMO mouse 1-2-3 buttons, or 2 separate additional buttons ? (MBUTTON5/MBUTTON4) cause mbutton 1 and 2 is left and right click, a bit confused.

If your keyboard has a number keypad, you can configure those as a separate 1-9, with =, -, and / as the keybinds. This frees up function1-4 which are quite reachable for most hands on most keyboards (useful for rarer pressed abilities)

@@treydancer3966 you aren’t using the numpad on the keyboard, you are configuring the mouse keybinds to register as if you did.
This allows you to use the normal numbers along the top of the keyboard as you would without a gaming mouse(I stop at 6 along the top because I feel like reaching more than that for me doesn’t help)

I realize that this is not exactly a new video however still very relavant. So let's say I have slow on mouse 1 2 3 and stun on shift 1 2 3 - where do you then put the base version? To just slow or stun current target?
My idea was to do mouse 1 stun and then shift 1 control 1 and alt 1 for arena 1 2 3. However my brain has a real hard time going 4 different targets pr button

@@jacobxtv2917 it's just my brain really needs to work overdrive if normal stun is on R and then arena 1 2 and 3 are ok some mouse buttons. It sorta fragments the skill into too many places and it's hard for me to justify to spend all mouse buttons to only be usable while inside arena

I know this video is a bit old but I was wondering why would you use focus macros if you set up arena 1-2-3? At around 23:20 you go about focus settting etc... Why would you focus if you got arena 1-2-3 bound for every interrupt you have etc.. I'm a shaman healer playing wotlk and trying to get better at this. So far I have only used focus macros. So I would have a macro that says "press this for shear" and "press shift for focus shear" on all my abilites.
Another question: why wouldn't you use shift / ctrl for your teamates, instead of targeting them then pressing a heal. Like for example why doing 1- riptide, 2 - lesserhealingwave. Instead of doing for example a macro that says "press this for healing wave" and "press shift for healing wave on party1" and "press ctrl for healing wave on party2". This way you don't have to manually target your partners to cast a heal on them.

U really dont need focus macros for arena if u have 123 for utility on enemies.... It is nice for if u go into rbgs or 5v5 to have focus macros tho for obvious reasons. U can set a healer to focus in these settings for kicks or cc for example.... question 2 - I find it extremely easy and comfortable to just switch targets with binds.... why would u add a modifier to every single heal / dispel u have which would take up way more bind slots.... for ex. my riptide would be naga 1. my shift 1 is hex 1. my ctrl 1 is shear 1. If i had modifiers for riptide to heal each teammate then i wouldnt have shit 1 and ctrl 1 for other binds.... now multiply this to every single heal / dispel and u are suddenly down tons of binds. as opposed to just setting your teammates to 1,2,3 for example and then healing with one bind. People constantly try to get out of binding their teammates and I get comments like this all the time for some reason.
@@jacobxtv2917 I suppose it makes sense if you are a healer. I'm playing elemental right now so it made sense to save some keybinds to do that cause all my teamates covered in one macro.
I will start slowly by using windshear 1,2,3 with shift G18,19,20 (thumb on my G600) and Hex 1,2,3 with ctrl G18,19,20 as well as G18,19,20 without modifiers being target arena 1,2,3.
If I modify everything else I'm gonna suck too much :D

I do like the guide, however what is always difficult for me is that any guide on keybindings, controls and macros is made with only one part of content in WoW in mind. I do pvp at around 2k rating and m+ at 2.7k rating (S4)... I go from high level keys to arenas sometimes within the same session. Therefore, I am still looking to find a keybinding system that works for both types of content across all my characters as it is better to build up general muscle memory without having to adjust greatly between different types of content. I do work with a 12 button mouse and I main druid and shaman, so lots of buttons. Any tips on a general comprehensive system (if it is at all possible) would be greatly appreciated.
I mean it just depends what all u use for m+ that you dont have with the PvP bind setup... I would personally make sure u have all the pvp stuff setup and then add in whatever pve things u need and are missing afterwards. I dont do keys but i have done mythic raiding and didnt have to swap a single bind to be able to complete the content so I'm really not sure.
I know this is a year after the fact, but I'm just coming back to PvP after not really doing it since MoP (and not playing since 10.0), but I was thinking of this very thing. While I used Vuhdoo in the past to heal/cleans/utility my party/raid in M+/Raids, and just click/tab targeted enemies, things fall apart in Arena when I do that. So for offensive utility (like Purge, Paralysis, HoJ, etc.), instead of spreading them across three MMO Mouse Keys like Jacob in the video, I am trying to put them all on one button with modifiers using the "exists" condition with arena1/arena2/arena3, and if those targets don't exist, it'll just cast on the target. So that way I can use the same key bind in BGs, M+ or Raids and it'll still work.
I have no idea if the comments will allow me to add a macro, but something like this:

You can even be sneaky and add a [mod:shift, @focus, harm, exists, nodead] in there too afters the @arena2 condition in the above example, if you hit shift it'll do the following priority Arena 2 -> Focus -> Your Target.
I'm not exactly sure how I'll do player, party1, party2 macros yet because you are in a party no matter what in Arena, BG, Raid or M+, so you can't use arena# + exists as a conditional, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Maybe using arena1 + noexist to check if we are out of the arena first, then the arena actions second would fly, I'll have to play with it, but logically that should work. So that way in a raid/BG/out in the world, a Monk would Detox their friendly target, but in an Arena it'd target Party 1 or Party 2 (with targeting self always just cleansing yourself). Something like this:

I haven't tested this, but outside Arena, it'll Mouseover a friendly would take priority, then a targeted friendly, then if you are targeting an enemy or nothing, it'll cast on yourself, but in arena it'd target yourself, party 1 or party 2 depending on no modifier, shift or alt.
Apologies for the stream of consciousness, I have no idea if the would actually be helpful or not but I'm going to give it a try in 10.2 with BGs suddenly becoming important again.
Edit: so after playing around, the helpful utility macro works with a bit of effort. So now, out of the arena if I'm targeting a friendly I will cast Cleanse/Purify/Detox/whatever, modding with ALT will always cast it on me, and if I'm in the arena it'll cast on Party1 and Party 2 with shift. I'm shocked it works so well too be honest
The offensive utilities (HoJ, Paralysis, etc.) work fine. Outside the arena, alt does nothing, but I think that's fine. Now I just need to actually get some rating now 😉

I've watched this video over and over trying to figure out a system, and for the life of me I cannot. I use ASD for movement, as I am most comfortable with those movement keys. Then I try to use everything around it for all my abilities and use my mouse solely for targeting, and cc/interrupt macros. To me I find it very hard to find something and stick with. I primarily try to use Q,W,E,R,T,F,G,Z,X,C,V and sometimes B if necessary. QWERT are usually frequently pressed keybinds, and as a resto shaman, to bind EVERYTHING else I need on the other keybinds is really hard and stressful. Especially now that they've added a bunch of new talents and brought back old talents that are mandatory in a pvp scenario.
I’m trying to wrap my head around the synapse for the razor naga with the f-1 etc because I do use my razor 1-3 for other things but it just hasn’t resonated with me what you meant.
im not 100% sure what u mean either but basically I set my 1-10 on naga to the function keys so i can still press the regular numbers as more keybinds on my keyboard

Coming from a PVE backlground where healers use Clique and or what over mouse over/mouse healing addon, do you feel like if I want to heal at my best in PVP I need to rethink my target/healing target party member keybinds? I feel like now in PVP I am so focused on making sure my mouse pointer is close to my healing frames that I am having a really hard time looking at the cds/drs/kicks of the enemy team.

Long shot as this video is pretty old but I am trying to force myself to use keybinds more, I play a BM hunter mainly and struggling on where to bind my traps I currently have them on F,G,h but it’s taking up

The only way to do it is to also disable totems because they are in the same setting. I happen to play with no totems or pets either bc its annoying lmfao. but yeah interface settings and disable minor i believe

i dont use focus macros to really do anything but i use set focus macros so i can see focuses which is really important. U want to be able to see castbars and buffs of a focus
utilize SHIFT Z, D, C, V also for easy macros if u run low on spots. At first i wasnt using shift z,c,d,v macros and realize how easy it is same finger of the WASD keys

jacob i strafe with A/D and turn with my mouse but i don't use any button like W to move forward. i move forward with my mouse also. Do you see any issues with this?
You might be able to get away with it, but it seems annoying to me to have to do what you are doing to go forward. I would rather the freedom of being able to use my mouse if needed to click something while moving forward
with your '1 2 3' marcros... are you binding the actual mousebutton 1/2/3? or the extra naga buttons?
Mouse buttons. Any of the binds u see starting with F are mousebuttons that are configured to the function keys. I only use 1,2,3 and shift 1,2,3 fon keyboard for target and focus target
Hey Jacob I know this video is 11 months old but I just have 1 question. How do these keybinds effect pve? Is it safe to have them for all content? And does the 1 2 3 targeting work for mobs to some extent or am I still clicking mobs? Sorry I’m a very new player to wow and pc mmorpg but I’m loving the game through and through.
yoooo. i personally have mythic raided with these binds but not mythic dungeoned or anything.... i personally can do any content with these, but other people talk about how they cant use similar binds to these and PVE so idk. maybe they just play differently. in regards to mobs and targetting. i just tab target or click
As a healer, I find it difficult to dedicate six hotkeys for targeting. I have 1-3 on keyboard for enemy targeting. Should I use scroll wheel up/down/mid for teammates? Or F keys?
having teammates bound is muchhhhhhhh more important so as long as u have tht its ok. but u should try to find ways to easily target enemies if u can

I KNOW it’s inefficient, but I heal using MO macros and the clicked add on (auto targets for things like a quick shadow word death). Do you know any other top players who do this? The thought of re-learning everything seems so overwhelming and I imagine it would constitute a huge tank in rating before going back up.
Just re did all my keybinds, but one thing I am missing is, do you have for "hex" for example 4 keybinds in total 3 for arena 1,2,3 and then a 4th one for just normal on you target? or do you only roll with the arena 1,2,3 macros?

Been playing for years and still learned something, thanks! My only question is have you run out of macro space yet? I find I've had to delete some quality of life macros to make space.

What do you think about using the mouse for movement and no keys whatsoever. I use mouse button 3 and 4 for strafing and I love it
seems weird to me but if u can move fine then whatever works my dude. Literally doesnt matter as long as its cozy and u have full control
You should give it a whirl, move forward by clicking both mouse buttons turn by moving mouse and strafe with 2 mouse buttons that feel most comfortable. That way your entire left hand is free to make ability keybinds. It was a real game changer for me.

ok say i am using asd for movement and i use qwe for arena 123 party and zxc for arena enemy. i have a 12 button mouse if all my cc is on my first three buttons what am i casting abilities with other then cc? say im a hunter what am i setting aimed shot arcane shot rapid fire to? or do i need a arena 123 for all that as well? Just confused looks like most your bars litterally filled with same macro how do you have room on mouse to cast any of your other 15 abilities?
I dont macro my damage abilities to 1,2,3 on any of my DPS. I just target them and press the binds i have. Dont over complicate it bro. Whatever works for u.
Some of those macros u see on my screen are just mouseover totem macros so i dont have to click the ground or possibly stop casting macros so the ability will cancel my casts to go off
Look at the hunter clip in the video and u can see my binds for hunter

I'm a new player so I just have a question on the Arena enemy macros. How do you use your important CC abilities in battlegrounds, do these arena 1/2/3 macros work here or do I need to rebind this cc on extra buttons so I can cast them during battlegrounds?

Mouseover macros for healing are not good, but do what you have to do! I would highly recommend figuring a way around it or get a 12 button mouse.

Yo i recommend playing whatever u think looks the coolest for u man... and also your binds are fine as long as its super easy to see when your abilities are up

Yoooo. I just target myself or teammate and then press dispel... no macros or anything. my target keybinds are so easy and quick at (1,2,3) i can switch faster than my globals

Chris hafer here... yeah its just gonna take a bit of getting used to. Full range of mobility is important.
you want to have forward movement and strafe..unbinding the default QWE removes those...if you want to use ASD for movement rebind S to forward, A to left strafe, and D to right strafe

Yooo! Thanks... and i think any keyboard is totally fine. I mostly recommend just playing a ton of games. Make sure your UI is clean and you have the proper addons. I dont have any specific videos to recommend but definitely watch a lot of streams.

you would need a separate bind for kicking the target normally
Any specific reason to not use the numpad for Naga 1-12? Wow recognizes them as different binds and I can use the F keys with keyboard hand pretty easily
If you dont have num pad on a laptop or mini keyboard u can switch between them easily. If you aren't worried about that it doesnt matter i dont think
how can u control the target arena order tho?
For teammates you use an addon called sort group to put yourself at the top or bottom and have teammates in ascending or descending order. Its really nice. For enemy you just have to see if they are 1,2, or 3 from top to bottom on gladius.

First very honest video. Since I am new to healing as holy priest, I understood that for arena 2v2 or 3v3 you use 1-2-3 keys to switch / select one of your team and heal. But if you are in BGs or 10v10 how do you choose your team according to the setup you have with keys 1-2. I hope I made them clear. Thanks for your very nice videos. I also put the addon - vudho but I can't do a proper heal (maybe of course I can't because of skill... 😎😎) or I haven't made the right settings.

@@ataraxic7 Sry for late response... If the pet you're trying to target belongs to party member 1 you just target them twice basically to make it target the pet and then press again to go back to the target.
I did this. But I use mods. shift control and alt for arena 1/2/3. So kick is r. Kicks my target. Shift+r is kick arena1 ctrl+r is kick arena2 and alt+r is kick arena3. But R is always kick.
