This is an excellent tutorial. You described every step clearly and it was easy to see everything as you sewed. The audio is perfect - very easy to understand each word, and you spoke at just the right speed so I could match your words with what I was seeing you do. Thank you so much! Now I am ready to make some bags of my own.
Thank you! This was a wonderful tutorial and I look forward to making these. 👍 I used to sew all kinds of things. I never made these but this reminded me of when I used to make tiny Christmas stockings to hold candy canes on the tree. I had a fast and easy way of sewing a bunch of them before ever cutting them out. I'd fold a large piece of fabric in half with right sides facing each other. I'd press and pin it, then draw my stocking patterns all over it. Next I'd sew the lines where I'd drawn the stockings. Then when I finished doing that, I'd cut them all out (and no fabric wasted). To finish, I'd fix the top hem and add embellishments, turn right side out and... Voila! They were finished! 😊 It was so much faster than cutting first and then sewing. Of course your bags can't be done that way. Thank you so much for this tutorial especially for showing how to add the ribbon after sewing it shut. I was puzzled by that at first but you made it simple to get. I just love those adorable little bags! ♥️ Also bless you for jogging my memory of when I used to love to sew. It was very enjoyable. Cheers! 🙂
When I use a thicker needle, I get skipping stitches or the thread would not form a seam at all. It depends on the fabric you use, so try. It might work.
Thank you for your great tutorial, it really helped !
