I think if they ditched the CVT added awd and updated the infotainment just a bit they would have a hit with the maxima because it’s really a gorgeous car
Yessss exactly! I herd the CVT in the maxima is very good, it’s really hard to drive cars now since 99% of the cars are sold. AWD would be amazing in the maxima
@@TheLaw_11 True, but are people even really buying Infiniti anymore, I feel like they’re almost obsolete lol. If they threw awd on the Maxima and ditched the CVT they would have a really good car. Then maybe it would be worth the 40k plus price tag
I bought mine (SV model) new in 2016, when they first came out. I now have 125K miles. Not one issue with this car. I change the CVT fluid every 60K miles.
I’m driving this car and people often saying nice things about it. people would just staring at my car everywhere i go. What I like about the exterior is that the front led light look so amazing during day time or night. At night, the tail light look like a butterfly wings. I have to admit its the most gorgeous car I’ve ever driven. But, the inside look so ugly except for those seats. I live in WA and the 2 wheel drive won’t even go up hill during snow season. The sounds system is amazing tho. Its gorgeous but not worth $45k
Great review! Is this getting a redesign anytime soon? Would be great if they matched the interior up with the new rogues esp on top trims - that would give it a fresh/ slick feel.
They just announced it would be discontinued after 2022 and will bring a electric version with Maxima name on it. Sad because I was hoping to see a refresh also. I have a 2020 Platinum and love it with the exception of the CVT. I was hoping for them to redesign it since Toyota is dropping the Avalon this year, they could have made a nice niche to the market with a 8 speed transmission or ZF, rear wheel drive and a maybe a little more size inside like the current avalon.
I love my maxima. I have the 17 platinum. I want to get the 2022 but they really need to update the infortainment. I might just go for the Kia stinger 😬
Dude you don’t understand this car been around since 2016? Of course the interior is very old. Nissan didn’t update it. It is behind! It doesn’t matter if the car is brand new or not. Look how many years it was made for and look at the tech.
My 2016 SR looks exactly the same haha this is a 22 platinum, with a mid 40s price range, something should be different. I do have blue stitching though.
my infiniti Q50 screen for the backup camera is absolutely horrible the quality is trash, cant believe how bad it is, it even goes fuzzy a lot its super blurry
Nissan autos are so dated. Even their new 2022 models with the 9 speed automatic transmission is so behind in comparison to their competitors. Hope they can survive.

AWD would be awesome. This car def got the looks 💯
They can't make it AWD, there would be no need to buy an INFINITI Q50 if they do.

Yes they should make it awd and also switch the v6 for their VK56vd V8 engine, how awesome would that be !

It's amazing how the Maxima and Murano have aged really well on the exterior.
Exactly!!! The refresh made the maxima look amazing!
Still two of the best looking vehicles in their respective classes
I enjoyed the review of the 2022 Nissan Maxima Platinum
I have this as a rental it’s such a good looking car
I love my maxima…it’s very powerful..
Is it reliable?

Good review & great Nissan.
This is my dream car! Amazing video bro.
One year ago, I try to buy 22' Nissan Maxima.

I believe they discontinued the Maxima so the 2022 year is the last production year I believe

The sunroof doesn’t open all the way????? For both?
Beautiful machine.
Indeed
is this like the little brother to the Q50 3.7T?

Very nice car ❤❤❤
GREAT CHOICE
Reverse lights and license plates are incandescent
Are you sure ?
@@Iegend17 yeah I own one and swapped them for LEDs the day after I got it.
Milford ct😭😭??? I didn’t know it was so close to me yo
Lol 😂😂
Mine has the CVT never an issue 180,000 miles and still runs like a scolded dog.
The "updated" teardrop front end styling is tiring. Nissan needs to up their game with a 9-speed transmission and a redesigned tougher front end.
He keeps saying the interior is really, really old.... but then again... this is a brand new car!!!! WTF!!!!

It needs a redesign
interior is outdated with a cd player infotainment......
my infiniti Q50 screen for the backup camera is absolutely horrible the quality is trash, cant believe how bad it is, it even goes fuzzy a lot its super blurry
Not worth 45K whatsoever.
Same look since 2016. Not much difference with the headlights and brake lights. Interior is outdated
hot car oooo 💕🤗

I do agree. I said that in my frontier video, the 9 speed was jerky and slow and sluggish overall ;(
45k?!?!?!?!
Nissan let a once great car fall from grace when they put into it that cvt.

Nissan needs to quit the business. The weakest of the Japanese manufacturers.
Nissan and Infiniti have the worst looking flagships
CVT garbage.
