The Chinese actors and actresses are very much controlled by their studios and also by the government. It doesn’t end with just the two aforementioned parties but also by the supposed to be their fans. These very talented people loose everything they have worked so hard by their own fans when they turn against idols. As mentioned, an actor was criticized for standing in front of a temple when he toured Japan. I love watching Chinese and Korean dramas because they are very talented. More and more people in the world are beginning to enjoy the movies and dramas. I for one very much appreciate these talented people.
I've seen many many C dramas where the horses have been tripped and somersault! Most looked to be in very poor condition and the one actor who said that they were of cheap breeds was absolutely right! That's one of the big differences between Asian entertainment and American European entertainment. They've started using Friesian and Iberian horses in the west because they're beautiful but also easy to train and ride.
I Have never seen Friesian or Iberian horses on C-dramas. That would be interesting to view. 99% of the horses I see in C-dramas look like starved, agitated animals with very poor riders. Friesians are very difficult to ride as they move uphill due to long backs and short hind-quarter movement.

My heart bleed for those horses. Now it's hard to watch those period dramas with so many many horses knowing they are treated so brutally for the sake of out entertainment. But those horses?ugh to even think about it now, jusr bringing tears to my eyes. Hopefully Chinese people will wake up and be the voices to those poor horses who never asked to be involved in these dramas. Even the actors should be in the forefront in their behalf as they too work with those horses and they should care about them too it is strange that actors only complain about them horses but not speaking for them horses to be treared well.
Because China is a communist country but also with capitalism, I'm not sure how the country functions. All these allegations are ones that exist in the west. However, many of them have been publicized by strong actors unions, animal welfare groups and laws which have brought positive results. They haven't disappeared but people are more aware and rights for those in the industry have improved. I'm not sure if these advancements in the west are doable in China.

You're not sure how the country functions? Smh. This hate for china is just strange. Dod the government make that horse fall? Did the government force the actors to sign the contracts? How these incidents relate to the Chinese government. Kpop has slave contracts. Will you blame the south korean government for that? Smh

The information in this video is applicable to all entertainment industries the world over - east, west north or south. Men in their most basic form are predators, and a predator with power is a predator who has no boundaries and has no human decency; It's the same with the Indian film and tv industry, and in India no actress or male actors (oh yes!) will dare come forward to file a complaint or speak out boldly, though there have been a couple of cases, for which one female playback singer has been suspended from finding work till the case has been resolved...it's been a few years now! and Hollywood and elsewhere also.
no boundaries no human decency....loook P diddy just watch the video thats been released of him on Cassey. vile! He also went unchecked as power and money. What about the rich and powerful in the entertainment with names we never know - harvey weinstein was known in the circles but not by us common folk. I bet there is loads we cant see?

Everyone is human and makes mistakes. However, the casting couch exists everywhere. It really depends on the person and what they are willing to do for fame. Moreover, going to visit shrines should not ruin anyone's career. And tax evasion should also not ruin anyone's career. It's really stupid to black ball someone over money and shrines. We are all human and have our own beliefs. And as far as tax evasion it is not uncommon to have someone else taking care of your finances.
I guess India is good in this matter I mean their is freedom of everything actors are Individual some do work in partnership but.... They can do as their will. Their is Nepotism their was Underworld connection but... Still very good going Only hardwork and Talent need to be successful

Thank you very much for your report. I have long suspected that the glamorous appearance and the wealth of the actors is just propaganda. It would be good to know how the Chinese film industry works at the moment. Ordinary people in China are not doing well at the moment. They are spending less and less money on consumer goods. Is this saving attitude of the Chinese population also reflected in the viewing figures for Chinese dramas?
Asian entertainment is so far behind the west as far as body positivity! And also the "me too" movement. Western Directors and producers would not get away with demanding actors and actresses be super skinny and the casting couch has almost disappeared. The Chinese entertainment industry needs to focus less on how many episodes are filmed and more to the treatment of their human and animal actors.
11:28 Oh poor people 😢we enjoyed their film but what a story! Nothing good at all! 14 years of contracts, sexual harassment, maltreatment of animals drastic diat oh no i feel so sorry for them, poor people 😢 the price of the glory is too heavy
I always said, that the animals were harmed, and just how they cast the actors were good looking, but actresses weren’t as good looking or is, but always showed as silly and stupid, they had issues with their respect towards women with an exception of a few. All of Asia have an issue of not just slender, but skinny to the point they look sick, terrible. The issue of other races too, even though they use the other race’s culture. Main thing is the banning of some issues that they can just fine them, but not their work and entire productions, waste of money, blowing money past so call capitalism. Men in top positions against actresses thats horrible, but happens in every country from here in the U.S. to all countries that have men with money. I hope that gets better.
1,7 meter and 45kg???? Holy macaroni... Im not sure some man understand how height to weight ratio works but that sounds horrid. That weight is good for about girlies 150-155cm maybe, not girlies 170cm... And he wanted her t go down to 41kg???? That would require her to have very minimal muscle level as muscle is heavier than fat. So definetly that is not reached by workout but by pure diet. Pure diet can help lose muscles effectively losing weight (by numbers) faster... but also will make you feel exhausted all the time and make you get sick easily. But I guess this is appealing to man... that woman needs to be sickly thin to rely on them. Its like some medival way of thinking.

This is from Jeremy himself during an interview. I would prefer it, if this channel shows concrete proof or links as to where all this info is from and not just by what the creator feels.
I mean did you see the horse. If that horse isn’t dead, it probably wishes it was. Horses necks don’t bend that way. His neck was broken. Doesn’t matter what the directors say.
All smoke & mirrors and they want to keep up the delusion. It's in every secular music, entertainment and movie industries around the world along with the drugs & human sex trafficking (slavery takes all forms) that goes right with it. Those who choose that type of career get paid more sometimes, but the price of all that they loose is much greater. Yu Zheng is a toxic boss, he doesn't have a favorite, he only has people who obeys him. If you don't obey his decisions for you, he makes it hard for you and can can make your image bad. It's not easy to just leave his company, so to survive until your contract ends, you need to do what he wants and not go up against him publicly.
he does has Zhao Qing which everyone dubbed "Yu Zheng's daugther"on china social media but it backfired very very badly when audience picked the 2nd SNH48 champion Savoki over Zhao Qing in terms of acting skills in Scene of time, this cause Zhao Qing to go on a diet which is stated in the vid despite audience complaints is on her acting skill and not really her weight problems and Yu Zheng almost want to burried Savoki over this but since his top girl Bailu is on all time low and Savoki sees sucess in short mini drama Dedications of Love he actually has no choice but to giv her a solo main role in a full length Cdrama last month but still giv Zhao Qing many side roles and increase her screen time, if Yu Zheng really has a favoute it will be Zhao Qing
I don't understand what you mean by “His top girl BaiLu is on the low” She's probably the only actress in his company who brings a lot of profit, but he doesn't like her guts. Also the reason why I say he doesn't have a favorite still stands, if this new actress Zhao Qing chooses at any point in her career to do what Bai Lu did and fight for her own decisions in her career, he would probably do to her worse than he's doing to Bai Lu. So to YZ, people are dispensable, if you obey him and he has a need for you, he will promote you to the fullest, cover your mistakes and make sure you look good in the eyes of the audience. But when you go up against him, he won't hesitate to ruin you.

I have been watching Chinese Drama for many years and over time, I have read about a lot of this. But I am not surprised. When I watch these dramas, I feel like a lot of these actors are treated like animals. The filming schedules seem so crazy and the time the actors spend in costume and makeup seems endless. And probably no comfort or privacy, these actors are not treated like Hollywood actors that are pampered. I just watched Rise of the Phoenixes and in one scene, a horse was punched on the nose and flipped over. It looked just like that one you showed us. I used to train horses and I know from watching these dramas that the animals are not treated well. Also, in the drama, Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, there is a foreign actor (not Chinese) and I was shocked to see him. I watch lots of these dramas and I have never seen a foreigner in them. I am thinking that the majority of Chinese directors are probably really nice to the actors, I hope. One drama I watched years ago, called Go, Go Princess, or Go Princess, Go.... I read that this drama has two endings because the CCP didnt like the original ending. I love these dramas, but I am not fond of the CCP.
cruelty to animals thing will always be my biggest problem. i cant believe they actually trip the horses. i thought that was just cgi/editing.. im seriously appalled.
Well now, seems if someone wants to really get out of a contract, all they really need to do is fake an affair, visit controversial sites, etc. The public will spit on them and forget about them soon enough. To me, a LOT of these problems stem from the toxicity of the Fandoms. They shame actors who even look "plump". Or get a tan or whatever else is in the fandoms stick up their arses. Its the fans that make these companies money, so if they don't see the money, they get on the actors. It all simply comes down to the Toxic fans. Every show ever written, shown and then cancelled is due to viewership and fans.
what in this video is mentioning China, Taiwan and Hongkong situation but after Harvey Weinstein case we knew those happened in Holywood and all other place hopefully those situation getting better
It’s a shame that the filming industry is so image conscious and only show very slim young people, this isn’t a reality in society and as such shouldn’t still be happening. People are being celebrated all over the globe for being different, the diversity that they can bring to the audience is immense. Show people of different sizes, ages, abilities/disabilities, ethnicity etc. Also if someone is a CEO of a large organisation then they are normally in their 40/50’s and not in their 20s as is often depicted in CDramas. Here in the UK there are strict regulations in place when animals are involved in filming and they are inspected on set to their conditions, there are also surprise inspections to ensure the welfare of the animals on set. Unfortunately sexual harassment happens in any workplace/industry, when seen by anyone whether it’s the victim or an eyewitness that behaviour needs to be reported and believed and shouldn’t impact on the victim’s career. The perpetrator needs to be made to be accountable for their behaviour. In respect of management organisations- there really needs to be an overhaul of this as what they expect the talent that they are meant to be looking after to do, filming up to 5 dramas/films a year, brand endorsement and promotion, variety shows, gala events, promoting said dramas/films and the meet/greet they organise at the press junkets. And that’s just the start of what they are expected to do from the management. It’s ridiculous, people need to have rest time for their own health and wellbeing, the schedule that these actors have is detrimental to their health.
The insane part of the director or staff asking the actors to lose weight in 20 days... like you try it first then? There's no way you can lose weight healthily without cutting everything else😢
The beauty standard is insane, and it actually reflects the society in China. Ofc im not saying that this doesn't happen anywhere, but at least it wasn't as severe as China. Like the weibo community is harsh, like there's a reason why these actors keep on getting whiter and skinny, bcus the audience wants them too.
This is terrible. There should be a law to protect these actresses,.especially the young starlets. .these sex feens should be banned from the industry.
I hate the untamed directors and producers . Because of their carelessness of the off screen display of the cast Xiaozhan paid the price . The whole situation was poorly managed and they let the blame be carried on by Xiaozhan . Hopeless producers and managers
I must admit that it is mainly Korean cinema that I am a fan of, in the past 2 years I have watched 15 or so, Chinese movies and television shows. It is naive to think that it happens only now..
Haven't you heard of Korean entertainment news especially in filmdom , a number of young people committing suicide or damaged psychologically? It is up to those workers to safeguard themselves , to look carefully before signing any contract.
Not only in the Asian industry- the whole industry worldwide is sick!
Now i understand why the same actors and actresses are in many dramas being released. Always the same faces .
Yeah I just got back into the genre laster yr... Haven't watched since I was in high school... And after binge watching a few series and looking on youtube for the most recent C-dramas I was like why do I see the same 3 or 4 men and women in literally EVERYTHING lol
Zhao Lusi seems to be thé only actress to work in China 😂
12 pounds in 20 days. 😮 A person would have to starve themselves... It should be illegal for them to use real horses. This breaks my heart!!!
they have been using real horses since 40 years ago, its just back then they switch the horses on duty but present day everything is like "tight on schedue" so they just ignore it
This is so sad the animals and humans are suffering in c drama and nobody can do anything about it and it will keep continuing
@@MarieElenaCambria1 I agree wholeheartedly, Marie Elena! They spend so much money on costumes and sets and CGI but nothing on their animal actors!
Lol, American film industry is one of the most denegerate film industry filled with pedophiles, creeps, children and women molestors and do so much sickening stuff and after reading the amount of degeneracy going on, I realised my dream of entering the cinema industry is not worth it
I literally saw Bai Lu's ribs😭😭😭😭
And worst, her boss is the disgusting yu Zheng who always push her under controversies for his benifits
Me too. It's so unnecessary.
I disagree with American entertainment industry aestheticism . it promotes fat people, man and woman. If you look at movies make in last century, that was different. Much more beautiful people.BTW Bai Lu looks beautiful.
@@yili9725and the chinese promote skeletons. weigning even 50 at 165-170cm is weird. weigning 56kg at height 180 is abnormal. chinese entertainment and its standarts are anti-human.

Actresses with rich financiers get lead roles despite having zero acting skills, plain looks, looks enhanced by plastic surgery😮
Either rich boyfriend or sugar daddy or buy your way in. I’m not into Chinese actress or actor news but the moment I saw Esther Yu in LBFAD. My reaction was who she slept with to get into this show without any acting, maturity, and with that voice. It highly that she bought herself in or with some connection.
@@annat6249 Um, Esther Yu come from a rich family, her father is a tycoon with loads of money, of course her father paid for the production of all her lead roles. i see nothing wrong with that if her family serves as producer and finance the project.
Esther is one of the actress if I hear her screech in the drama, no matter how good it is, I'll turn it off. What's with her same voice of 3yr old in all her work, god!!!
@@beeee3966 exactly. I can never understand when people rave about her, I am always like, are you blind? Girl can't act at all and this "childish bubby" behaviour can take you up so far. I can't take her acting seriously

Definitely nothing new. The US led the way in this behavior.
USA is worse
Seeing the mistreatment of the horses makes me definitely not like the historical dramas.
Not only bailu - i was also a Bit concerned when i saw luo yun xi in tteotm . He looked really skinny also in his Face in some scenes especially . I mean he always was Thin alteady when he danced ballet but nevertheless i wondered in some scenes . 😢 Hope they do fine i mean in bts videos they always Look happy and it Looks Like fun but honestly that are the only videos published so who knows How the set is during the reminding 90% rest of the time 😮
But some actors Look healthy like Deng lun
I was also very concerned about luo yunxi but after watching his contents etc I got to know he actually tried to gain weight but couldn't, maybe he was one of those ppls who naturally couldn't gain weight ... And about TTEOTM it was required for him to be skinny since Tantai Jin has always starved since birth... I just hope he and bai lu are healthy. .
OMG ..2. 3 GIRLS LOOKS SOOO SKINNY ..AS THEY WERE UNDER MAL NUTRITION ....PEOPLE OF THESE VOUNTRIES SHOULD COMES OUT ON THE ROADS TO PROTECT THIER CELEBRITIES ...nd they SHOULD STAND AGSINST COMPANIES TOO
Zhang Zhehan never even visited the shrine. He is (and continues to be) a victim
According to c netz, it wasnt only the visit to the shrine, but also the rising sun flag post, his pic with dewi soekarno etc
It was jealousy
I trust Zhang Zhehan and his mother’s statements. I personally don’t easily trust what I read on the internet.
Will he ever back to filming? Where's he now
He is continuing his singing career, selling out concerts and he recently released a documentary called, August.
3:51 is thiat photo really not edited?
No, it’s not. I’ve seen drama Love 020 with her as the FL. It’s horrible how thin she looks.
Their strong rules and regulations along with strict cancellation policy would probably be taken more seriously if rich and connected sleazy males didn’t get away with inappropriate behavior, SH and SA within the industry
Is there a way for us to write letters to regulators to look into this industry? We enjoy watching C dramas, but we don't want people or animals be exploited.
Do you really think the regulators in China are unaware?
Definitely, it's not worth it
Deng lu....I'm so heartbroken. Ugghh... I love his acting!!
Poor horse. Seriously! He is DEAD!
Sounds familiar.
Seeing bailu ribcage is so scary
And haters called her fat when she's 43kg 🙃
My heart bleed for those horses. Now it's hard to watch those period dramas with so many many horses knowing they are treated so brutally for the sake of out entertainment.
At least actors can speak, can make their own conscious choices, and no matter how they ended up, they are not entirely without support form other fellow human being. In the wrong or in the right.
What made me shudder is that they don't even protect the girls from wardrobe malfunction.
Makes one wonder what pain that gorgeous star we watch on screen- carries!
Are you seriously blaming the government for what agencies do? Are you serious right now? China is a capitalist country, but the leader belongs to the CCP. These are isolated incidents. This comment is just weird. IMHO
You're not sure how the country functions? Smh. This hate for china is just strange. Dod the government make that horse fall? Did the government force the actors to sign the contracts? How these incidents relate to the Chinese government. Kpop has slave contracts. Will you blame the south korean government for that? Smh
One of the realest comments about China
The sleazy underbelly of the glitzy entertainment industry worldwide! 🤦
Why is Deng Lun face shown in the end?
He got blacklisted for tax evasion even though he paid everything he owed.
Same in Hollywood.
That's what I was going to say.
With the start of the “Me Movement”, Hollywood has changed re cast couching! I wonder if it has also change in Asian Cinemas?🙄🤔😐
Why can’t they just use CGI animals?
I can't stand Chinese cgi, and I think other people feel the same, I don't think it'd work well, and it would definitely raise the budget
Hope money & happiness keep piling up for my darling Bro Vengo Gao Weiguang. Those who believe 41 is too old for a male lead should have their head checked.
The information in this video is applicable to all entertainment industries the world over - east, west north or south.
Men in their most basic form are predators, and a predator with power is a predator who has no boundaries and has no human decency;
It's the same with the Indian film and tv industry, and in India no actress or male actors (oh yes!) will dare come forward to file a complaint or speak out boldly, though there have been a couple of cases, for which one female playback singer has been suspended from finding work till the case has been resolved...it's been a few years now! and Hollywood and elsewhere also.
no boundaries no human decency....loook P diddy just watch the video thats been released of him on Cassey. vile! He also went unchecked as power and money. What about the rich and powerful in the entertainment with names we never know - harvey weinstein was known in the circles but not by us common folk. I bet there is loads we cant see?
I feel very sad for the actors snd actresses and of course all those poor animals being hurt by such heartless people. In a communistic country these problems are further compounded because there is less freedom and more backlash. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽♥️
I always thought the actressess look like starving birds . Very sad i feel i should stop watching cdramas
who knew it was the mad directors who asked them to be like birds. Its so ugly
@siewbengwee4530 true and they dress so badly as well . The actors are so tall but again so thin . Of course no one needs a fat belly . I think the actors and actresses are treated very badly
Not only china ,india every countries entertainment industry are worst towards women 😢😢😢sad only women are victims as always
That's why I don't see Song Weilong that often these past years. I like him since Go Ahead. 😢
Blame the audience, they start fat shaming the actor as soon as actor happens to have mass on cheek bones.
Mistreatment of animals is the most sad 😢
Mistreatment of any living thing, human or animal, is abhorrent
It’s crazy how this is exactly the same as old Hollywood.
I guess India is good in this matter I mean their is freedom of everything actors are Individual some do work in partnership but.... They can do as their will. Their is Nepotism their was Underworld connection but... Still very good going Only hardwork and Talent need to be successful
It’s in every industry there. Power is abused….
That is Crazy !!! Shouldn‘t they be Proud to look sooo stunning With 40 years old ?!?!😮😮😮 and 31 is super super Young !!!! That is Crazy to let them Play mothers of a Main cast that is only 4-5 years younger than themselves !
Not to mention the horrible misstreatment from actors and renale actors 😱😡🤯
all actresses l bellieve you
Thank you very much for your report.
Most of these actors are overworked and underplayed.
Casting couch is a global problem but not restricted to one country.
This is crazy, and us people viewers, don't like seeing them looking anorexia, and bollemia . 😢
I'm reading most of the comments; pretty interesting and different thoughts... since I enjoy watching drama and movies there is always something to say...(complaints; concerns). Hey guys; when you enter in entertainment industry (doesn't matter if you are low clan; riches or whatever (tupe e pule ia te oe)! But, sometime you have to voice yourself in order for them to understand...like my villages said "what goes around; comes around. Thank you
This goes on in the entertainment industry worldwide, whether it's acting, music, sports or standup, etc. You want the role, you show them how much. It's disgusting.
especially if you shoot costume period drama. wont look good with so many layered cloth. xianxia or fairy myth fantasy kind of drama wont look good and elegant if the actor hame more weight
I feel this reporting is not very accurate since Jeremy Xu departed from acting because his contract has expired after 10 years and he wants to travel for awhile first.
4:48 no problem
All smoke & mirrors and they want to keep up the delusion. It's in every secular music, entertainment and movie industries around the world along with the drugs & human sex trafficking (slavery takes all forms) that goes right with it. Those who choose that type of career get paid more sometimes, but the price of all that they loose is much greater. It's their choice and only they can make a difference by setting up their own protective and collective guilds.
Does this tortuor worthy enough ? R they realy traped with / by the contract ? I know this is not a new thing , but i think that when someone want to begin to choose to enter entertainment industri they need to be protect by Defender Attorney periodictly to handle the contract n hopefully theres a tolerant space in it based on the artist condition coz they r need each other .
Zhao lusi is shrinking before our eyes
Yes I will pray for her to have some common sense she’s such a delight to watch

@@Daebakchingu after Till the End of the moon, Bailu's reputation went down alot in china for the entire year of 2023 thats what i mean if u hav been following her stuffs on chinese sites like bilibilli, her fans didnt drop but her reputation as an actress to the audience is dropping, job wise Bailu has been going solo for every long until last month Yu Zheng throw in a Xian Xia (under his own agency) main lead role with joseph zheng despite her rejection pleas to rest and Bailu still needs to record running man while fliming is super tiring, its like weekend flim running man weekdays go fliming ALOT of work

China needs to chill on certain things. With how conservative China is, I didn't know they had casting couches. Wow.
The starving is excessive. And the sexual harassment too
I have horses and I have seen many horses that are lame on Chinese dramas.
what in this video is mentioning China, Taiwan and Hongkong situation
but after Harvey Weinstein case we knew those happened in Holywood and all other place
hopefully those situation getting better
US has Harvey Weinstien
Not anymore, thank God.
Omg, I always thought the horse scenes were fake! Can’t believe it’s real! Monsters!
That's why Xu Kai has been on mostly bad cdramas, I used to like him, but not anymore just because of this😢
This is terrible.
There's no way Tang Yan is born later than 1983. She is about the same age as her ex Qiu Zhe... they were all from early 1980's & in their 40s now.
Only the ones, who got good relationship with the community party and Weibo heads, can stay powerful.
I must admit that it is mainly Korean cinema that I am a fan of, in the past 2 years I have watched 15 or so, Chinese movies and television shows. I always find myself saying, mainly to the female actresses, "Eat a sandwich or something!" They look so skelatal sometimes, and now I have a better understanding as to why.
No woke forced diversity and lgbtqp crap are part of what makes C drama great despite its many shortcomings.
