  • Lucid Dreaming Explained- How to Lucid Dream for Beginners
    In this video, I give a basic overview of lucid dreaming and what it is. It's a great guide for beginners just becoming acquainted with lucid dreaming. I also give advice on how to have a lucid dream. To induce lucid dreaming it's important to keep a dream journal. You can induce a lucid dream tonight through a large number of techniques including:
    DILD - Dream Induced Lucid Dreaming
    MILD - Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming
    WILD - Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming
    WBTB - Wake Back To Bed
    I also talk about creating a trigger and doing reality checks, so that you realize that you're dreaming while you're in the dream.
    If you want to induce a lucid dream tonight these techniques are helpful. It's a great guide for beginners or for someone trying to understand the experience of having inducing a lucid dream.

    There are 5 amazing experiences I've had while lucid dreaming.
    1) Ask to speak with God.
    2) Ask to go to the future.
    3) Walk up to someone in your dream and say: what symbol do you represent?
    4) Ask to visit the dream generator.
    5) Ask to visit Heaven.

      The Diamond Net Getting to God, the dream generator, and/or dream symbols is beyond contemporary 'enlightenment'... to simply ask is to receive a response. The night you request permission to meet with God, make sure you write down exactly what your dream consisted of. My first encounter was with a black tornado. It was a week later that I read about how once a year, in India, they have these spiritual individuals all go out to some sacred place to summon God. The atmospheric conditions become a tornado that touches down onto the alter that they have created. Oh, I remember what my question was. I wanted to meet the God who created Christianity. I consider this to be a major life changing experience. Some places you visit, like the dream generator, will look like a military installation. I've had to run thought experiments on why this might be the case. Considering some advanced race, having died off tens of thousands of years ago, had a mind/machine interface system, and this may be the 'production system' that generates the 'sound stage' for the dreams we experience nightly. Anyway, see what you come up with, and where your spirit takes you. Write down your desire in a little note book before you go to sleep. "I want to speak with God tonight in my dream" or "I want to meet the God who created the Christian religion" These will yield different results. Asking someone in your dream: "What symbol do you represent in my subconscious?" Jung would be proud.... :-)

      I apologize if my format for my videos isn't to your liking. Most of my videos are about exploring a particular topic and talking about my perspective on it. I have very few videos that are just instructional. This is one of them. To help you in the future, if I have "for beginners" in the title, these videos are usually pretty bare bones and just about how to do a process. Or, you can skip to the end of the video as I usually have any "how to" information be the last thing that I share.

      You're welcome! I think over-excitement is a big issue in this way. Whenever I become lucid, I often loose it by getting too excited or I just lose awareness of being lucid. The best way is to relax and become aware of what is around you without trying to directly control the experience right away.

    Arcades, pinballs, carts (both arcades as well as Formula One like carts running laps), slot-machines (wins none though), Big cruise ship with a real-sized theather with a big (XL/XXL) (white canvas) screen, classical/Victorian-era chairs. Skying and skating in the snowy mountains. Lots of flying, airport-mazes, parking-lots and roller-coaster-tube-rides situated in the middle of the city. ... Recalling some. A lucid one I had was being in some kind of out of body experience or flying (distortionly (elongated etc) perhaps) in a violet colored vortex.

    One thing that also helps seems to be drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. I know some say a vegan diet helps. Vegan diets usually have a higher content of water based on large fruit and vegetable intake. But if you are not Vegan try drinking a lot more water and taking Omega 3's daily. Keeping the brain and pineal gland hydrated seems to work wonders. Great video thanks again!

      Thank you for the recommendation. I switched to a Vegan diet in June but I didn't notice too much difference in my ability to lucid dream or astral project. But it certainly didn't hurt. I could definitely drink more water though. I have a bad habit of not hydrating enough.

      It was meant to be a general statement but glad if it helps :) I ate Raw for a year and a half I think it helped some. Everything occurred more frequent and my memory seemed better. I have had nightmares just about every night ever since I can remember. I recently have been reading on Lucid Dreaming techniques in the hopes I can stop the nightmares. Last night I tried the techniques for the first time before I went to sleep. When a nightmare started like they normally do I was able to shut it down and start the dream of my choice. Before I went to sleep I focused intensely on flying in my dream. When I shut down the nightmare I instantly started a dream of me flying. It took some effort to control myself enough to relax and stay in the dream but I was able to and then practiced my flying technique for what seamed like quite a long time but the entire time realized I was in a dream. I only woke myself because I had to pee. I think I could have maintained the dream much longer.
    How long can someone typically maintain a Lucid Dream? Was what I described a Lucid Dream?
    I am actually looking forward to going to sleep tonight for the first time in my life. Typically I don't want to sleep because of my terrible nightmares. I'm hoping I can master Lucid Dreaming and take control of my Dream time. The nightly nightmare are wearing me out mentally and physically because many nights I refuse to go back to sleep after severe nightmares

    something really cool has happened to me twince. I have been able to wake up, and see, covering my pupils, the image of the actual dream, getting vanished as I was aware of the phenomenon. If I tried to go back to the content of the image, more sleepy I felt, and the image would cover the whole eye as I closed back; but again if I insisted to see the real world behind the image, the image would go away, would blur off (though the action inside would still go on). It was a weird thing, but I guess that not so unusual to happen

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  7 років тому

      That's really cool. When I was like 19 or 20, I was playing Mario 2 on a Gameboy Color for a long period of time. I was trying to kill some time, and I had nothing to do, so I probably spent like 8 hours staring at the Gameboy screen, watching Mario jump over little blue trains and chuck eggs at a pink dragon and avoid floating gold masks. When I finally called it quits, I had a bit of headache and I had to close my eyes. Once I closed them, I was wide awake, but I was actually seeing an alternate version to Mario 2 play out on the inside of my eyelids. So, the game had the same visual aesthetic and the same characters and everything. There was still Mario, eggs, pink dragons, and floating gold masks. The only difference was that they were randomly arranged into what looked like a completely new level of the game. It was really crazy. Then I could open my eyes up and the randomly arranged game level would be gone. But I would close them and there would be Mario running through the newly created level again.

    So I'm thinking the difference between lucid dreams and an OBE is that the OBE will probably be at least a bit more realistic, where the lucid dream will still be in the realm of the fanciful, Alice in Wonderland sort of world. But it makes me wonder if lucid dreams are a type of OBE that is so far from what we expect that we just think it has to be a dream instead of an OBE. I'm starting to work on all of this again. Thanks for your videos! :)

    i think i've had a WILD lucid dream multiple times. it's been mostly happening since i've been getting into breadth spirituality. i'm sleeping and then all of the sudden i can't get up so i realize i'm dreaming, i start trying to get up and it usually feels like i'm magnetized to my body/bed, sometimes i get up and sometimes i don't and wake up. they feel more real than reality. also a few times while i was dreaming i decided to bring myself to the present moment and do some self-inquiry. i heard a loud high pitched buzzing noise as reality instantly became more vivid. whenever that happens i wonder if i just became enlightened lol.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  8 років тому

      Yes. This is a WILD. It's not enlightenment unfortunately... but it's still pretty cool. :D If you experience the high pitched buzzing noise and magnetic feel again, you can either try to drop down into a lucid dream or try to get up from your bed to have an out of body experience. The trick is not to move the physical body though.

    • @xSTEVENx286x
      @xSTEVENx286x 8 років тому

      i never thought to drop down into a lucid dream but yeah whenever i have sleep paralysis i try to get up from my body but i find it difficult. like i said there's the magnetic feel and also there was this one time where i managed to get out of my body but then my body went full blown derp status and i just floated into my wall and still couldn't control my body. it's like i was paralyzed in space. do you know of a technique that would lessen the magnetism? i try to levitate out of my body and it's like all of me wants to get up except my head. maybe i should try and get up like i would in physical reality but then i fear i would accidentally move my body.
      also if you go from sleeping to ap are you still sleeping? are you still in rem? can you feel your body? are you still resting? or is it like waking up to a hallucination? i ask because it would be interesting if someone replaced dreaming with astral projection a few nights a week.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  8 років тому

      Steven Hudson I have experienced this a lot too, where I either can't make myself do anything because I have no control and I'm basically just tumbling around in space or close to the ground by my bed. Or, what's even more interesting is when I can't control most of my body but some parts, I can. When my husband and I first got together, I was staying the night at his house. I ended up having an unconscious OBE and ended up on the road outside of his house. Then suddenly my feet and calves were unmovable and rigid, and the rest of my body was in and out of my control. I started to float upward which was caused by my lower legs and feet uncontrollably floating up. Then the rest of my body was so difficult to keep under control as I floated up. It was especially scary because I'm scared of heights.
      In terms of whether or not you're sleeping during astral projection, I'm not sure on the brain wave level as to what the exact differences are. So, I don't know if someone's getting proper rest during an out of body experience or if it's conferable to a dream in terms of getting rest. That's a great question though. I'll look it up if I'm thinking of it. I've heard that they've done brainwave studies of people who astral project. I have been able to feel my body once during an astral projection. It was really interesting because I had a very vivid and real experience of the AP, then it was like I had a vague sense of my body sensations superimposed over the experience.

      It could be either one. If you're getting up from your bed and interfacing with your surroundings in waking life and it feels like waking life, it's an out of body experience. If you're falling down into a dream and it's kind of fuzzy and not like reality, it's probably a lucid dream. What you are experiencing is called sleep paralysis and it can be sort of like a gateway to either lucid dreaming or to out of body experience. I have a video about it on my channel if you search around. It's also linked on the end card of this video.
